this cd is defenitly not a let down, it sounds more the same as All Fall Down, not really anything like the Resteration of Chaos and Order...which i didnt like, mayb not too close to 24 Hour Roadside Resistance but whatever this cd is good, its got 22 songs, the mojority of which dont suck, some get a little repetative and pointless so i skip them but over all this is a good cd

Against All Authority is an excellent band and this is an excellent CD. The lyrics are angry, revolutionary, and violent. Sure its a little bit rough around the edges but its so easy to listen to. Not to mention all the energy the album provides. There's 22 songs and they're all great. The album is a bit repetetive, as all the songs do sound a bit similar but still I just love the anger and "F--k the Establishment and kill cops" message of this album. This is by far the best AAA album, ignore all those idiots who reviewed "All Fall Down". 5 stars.

I'd have to say this album definitely has the potential to be great. There's a lot of energy coming from the band, especially the vocals. But what immediately turned me off to this album is the horns. I don't think I've ever heard an album from a signed band that is as out of tune as this one. As soon as the horns start playing you can tell unmistakebly that they are not in tune at all with the rest of the instruments. I don't see how they could overlook that. They should have noticed after recording the very first song that something wasn't right, but instead let it go for another 20 songs. If everything had been in tune, this album would definitely rock and I would give it at least a 4, but instead it gets a 2.

... i first saw against all authority back in 97 with the skankin' in the pit tour. what fun. this band has the drunk-anthem singalong style to the words, an intense energy, horns, and some great ska songs too. a little bit of everything. if you like these guys' sound, check out some of the other hopeless bands, too.

No Authority make O-Town look like have talent with this horrible attempt at boyband pop. Each and every song basically goes like this: "girl you're so beautiful" or "girl you're so fine" or "girl can I get with you" or "girl you're the one." It's tired, boring, and they just plain suck. I do admit I wasn't a fan of NA at first..but when I went to see them at an autograph signing/concert session, my opinion totally changed. These guys have it going ON!!!! As soon as I heard 'Can I Get Your Number', I was blown away by how great the guys sound together. Every song on this album is worthwhile listening to.The NA guys deserve a lot more credit than they get.

"I'VE BEEN EAST, I'VE BEEN WEST, BUT I COULDN'T FIND ANYONE TO TEACH US HOW TO SING" is what this whole recording sounds like - a wanna-be-"i'm-so-hot-and-sexy-i've-got-a-million-girls-screaming-for-me-but-my-record-sold-1/34-as-many-as-Nsync, oh baby!" album...but then again, if you like that sort of stuff, have a party, buy the album. I will admit that there ARE a few catchy songs, "can i get your number" is practically my school's new anthem...which is pretty much the only reason for giving it the 3 stars when it deserves less... BUT ITS A BOY BAND, THEY'RE POP, AND AW HELL YA GOTTA LOVE EM!

Still a good album! Edgy in most places!.......2004-09-07

I thought that No Authority made a good debut. I played it a lot for several years. But if I'd see it in the store, I'd buy it again. Rodney Jerkins, Fred Jerkins III (his brother), and others produced some solid songs here. Don't Stop, Up and Down, Girlfriend, Please Don't Break My Heart, the salt-shaker sounding If You Want Me are some very funky songs. The ballads have a hip-hop like funkiness to them too. I love their remake of DeBarge's I Like It. And from someone who remembered hearing the original DeBarge hit in 1983, it's quite good vocally. The next album wasn't as good as this first one. But they made quite an impression with this debut. I wished that they'd still be making music now instead of formally breaking up.

Smoove, baby...........2000-02-22

'Keep On,' the '97 debut release from No Authority, one of the 'first' boy bands (of the wave that followed Backstreet Boys' big '96 break; 98 Degrees, Hanson.) These southern California guys have true personality: although it sounds odd, their lyrics suggest ultra-popular middle school rich white Los Angeles beach suburb kids that host parties every week. Their crush relationships, if they could be called that, are just exagerated by simple lyrics and toasty ballads.

They all seem really young, too. For a group where the members are all in their mid-teens, they harmonize quite smoothly, and have a good rapper in Danny Z(what's his name.) Their music is slightly more soulful than the usual bunch, too. Unfortunately, they are truly missing any real dance tracks (with the possible exception of "Don't Stop," which samples MC Hammer's hit of the same name.) Standouts include the ballads "Why" and "Girlfriend," the eerie bop of the title track, the insistent hip-hop of "Don't Stop," and the lyrically trivial ballad "One More Time," with lyrics such as "Give me one more chance / I'll show you love and romance." Please get more complicated.

Overall, though, the boys have smooth voices and ultra-slick production. Their infectious R&B sound is a comforting relief in the backlight of groups like Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync. And if you too feel the lack of real dance tunes, don't worry; the self-titled sophomore release is full of 'em ("What I Wanna Do," "A Girl Like You," and "Don't Get Better.")

All I have to say is this is a wonderfull CD. I couldn't believe it when I first put it in my player. I have been a fan since 97 and I don't think that they have gotten the recognition they should have. The songs on the CD are well written and of course well sung.

The 4 lads from So. Calif did a fairly good job on this one. It's a fairly good album, a little heavy on the R&B for my tastes, but I think that alot of people will be very happy with this one. The enhancements included on the cd will give you more information on the group

A Promising Debut.......2000-07-26

Originally discovered by pop king, Mr. Michael Jackson - No Authority offer a new type of sound to an otherwise over-crowded music industry. Their debut disc offers slices of up-beat tempos with some beautiful ballads sung with intense emotion. Although the last few tracks are weak compared to the rest of the album, it offers some rare gems including the heart-breaking tune, "Why" and "One More Time" is destined to become a hit. All and all, a great album for any pop/r&b music fan!

I am like the biggest NA fan. And when I heard this single, I though, "How do they do it?" Every single song they record is AWESOME! " All their music is great. When I first saw them back on August 28th, 99, I saw talent that no other boyband had, They could dance AND sing. And, they are sooooooo sweet (Ive met them numerous times and ate dinner with them). They are much better than NSYNC or BSB. They are the best out there. And, the song is sooo up tempo! Its a great song to dance to or lift your spirits. I highly recommend it :)

I think that this is just a senseless, no point song and i'm sorry but they can't even sing very good. I don't even own this CD i've just heard the song and seen the video and the video is just as dumb. Did you realize that nearly all the reveiwers are girls? Yeah, that's right. Am I the only girl who actually know what real music is? All this c.d. is about is what you can see on MTV every day. (Not trying to diss MTV, it rocks! ) Girls are screaming over some guy who is lip syncing at a concert. You can make up the lyrics or melodies to "Can I get Your Number" any time, and i'll bet any mony that their producers wrote these songs? *sigh* What happened to 1994?
