If the sound of hot new R&B act Ruff Endz is a bit familiar, well, yes, you have it heard it before. The Charm City twosome are blessed with solid sexy voices with a sprinkling of gospel skills à la K-Ci and Jo Jo Hailey. Like the Hailey brothers, Ruff Endz have good pipes, a swaggering street thug/loveman appeal and the time-tested old school soul meets hip-hop vibe. They are a state-of-the-art example of the blurred distinctions, both stylistically (peep the "No More" video complete with light-skinned silicon-enhanced "models" and Ruff Endz iced out, in skullies) and sonically, between R&B and hip-hop (as on the infectious top 10 single "No More"). "No More" is a misogynist, cautionary tale against money-hungry chickenheads, but, politics aside, much of Love Crimes is quite good. On tracks like "I Apologize" and the soaring "The World To Me," Ruff Endz delivers the goods. In fact, besides a lack of originality, the only real down side is that (at 70 minutes) Love Crimes is numbingly long: it would be twice as good at half the length. --Amy Linden

One of the best albums ever!but don't get what they deserve?.......2002-08-30

This is truly one of the best albums I've heard in a long time from two brothers. Songs like Where does love go from here, please don't forget about me, im not just saying that im feelin that are just sensational. Too bad the freakin radio doesn't think so, now a days the media, radio, and "award shows" seem to focus on the "most played on the radio" songs for awards. This really ticks me off because some of these artists like Ruff Endz really deserve to be in the spot light. Well, if your'e lookin for a good rnb album go out and buy this one.

Love Crimes was one of my favourite releases at the time when I first heard it. the songs are wonderful. They are often compared to K-Ci and JoJo, but I think this album is more consistant than any album by the Hailey brothers. Their ballads are top notch and they have the potential to be great.

Dis is r'n'b at its best.They have a kci&jojo type sound 2 there voices.Soulfull sounds mixed with upbeat tempo make this an allround great album.Every track is a standout and its never left my cd playa.Love crimes ,the world 2 me ,if i was the one ,i apologize ,please dont forget about me and da club hit no more make dis cd one of da best debut albums goin round.Cant wait till they drop there 2nd cd.If lovin dis cds a crime then im a criminal.

WHAT CAN i SAY,THIS CD RULES.ALL THE SONGS HAVE A VERY SMOOTH SOUND AND THE BEAT IS CATCHY.THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS MUSIC IS THAT YOU CAN PLAY IT ANYWHERE FROM A PARTY TO A FAMILY REUNION.MY PERSONAL FAVORITE SONG IS ''PLEASE DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME'',BECAUSE IT'S A LOVE SONG,BUT IT'S NOT SING-SONGY OR SUPER MUSHY LIKE MOST POP SONGS.BUY THIS CD YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

i have been into rap and hip hop since i was 6 yrs old and now im 17 i know true music this describes all the things you need to no especially the song no more go out and buy the album later $horty

I LOVE THIS ALBUM. I SEARCHED LONG FOR A CD COPY AND PAID DEARLY. IT'S WORTH IT. HARLEQUIN IS ONE OF CANADA'S BEST BANDS THAT DIDN'T GET MUCH RECOGNITION. THINKING OF YOU AND HEAVEN ARE MY FAVORITES ON THIS ALBUM. IT'S ONE OF THOSE ALBUMS THAT I PLAY RIGHT THROUGH WITHOUT PROGRAMMING JUST CERTAIN SONGS

This was one of Canada's best rock bands of the late 70s. Survive and You are the Light were awesome songs. Too bad they're not on this import. However, I Did it For Love, and Innocence are fantastic. The 80s left this wonderful band behind in the 70s. Too bad. I highly recommend this one. It was one of my favorite LPs (remember those?).

Harlequin.......2000-11-11

This is probably Harlequin's best album. It contains 2 of their best songs, "Innocence" and "Thinking of You". This is a good first Harlequin album to start out with.
