About the Artist
Metaphor hails from Atlanta, GA where he is also the President/CEO of Meta4ever Musik, Inc. The journey actually begins in South Bend, IN where Metaphor grew up and was introduced to Hip Hop in elementary school. In the Mid to Late 80's, Metaphor listened and learned from artist like Run DMC, LL Cool J and DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. During his freshman year of high school, Metaphor attended half day at Riley HS and the other have at the University of Notre Dame as part the Upward Bound Program for advanced students. Metaphor along with his best friend at the time, Gerald Hamilton started competing in local talent shows and went by the names "Emcee Melo-D and DJ Earthshaker". In 1989, Metaphor relocated to Milwaukee, WI to live with his older brother, but things didn't work out so Metaphor was left all alone to fend for himself at just 16 years old. Things got kind of rough, but Metaphor registered himself in school anyway and went on to graduate with a! 3.5 GPA. While attending James Madison HS, two situations occurred that would change Metaphor's life forever. Metaphor's son Johnathan was born and he also created a hip hop group called Miskunsepshun that consisted of Trey, Ant, Tasha, Quesa, Robin and James. They instantly became the talk of the town winning every talent show the city had to offer. Even with the success of the group, Metaphor stood out. In 1994, Metaphor was granted full custody of his son and had to make a decesion. At just 20 years of age, Metaphor was a single father doing his best to provide a stable environment for his child. The average man would have folded, but not Metaphor. Since performing was out of the question he started to learn the business side of the music industry by joining C.A.M.S. (The Chicago Association For Musicians and Songwriters) and later joining ASCAP as a writer and later on a publisher. Metaphor began writing commerical and radio jingles as well as R&B songs for local and! national artist. Milwaukee was a great city, but Metaphor realized that in order to get noticed he would have to once again relocate.

In December of 1996, Metaphor and Johnathan got on a Greyhound bus and headed for Atlanta, GA to stay with family and pursue his music career. Metaphor linked up with a producer named Wizard of LaFace Records and began writing for local artist as well as his own project. As the days went by, Metaphor took it upon himself to learn more about the business since he felt as though he had the music aspect of it on lock. Working as a Mortgage Banker with Bank of America, it was sort of challenging for Metphor to gain the respect from other artist that had come from the struggle, but never the less he eventually won even the toughest critics over. In the summer of 2003, Metaphor established Meta4ever Musik, Inc. and began recording his first CD with Producer Syd Style of Funked Up Musik Productions. The pair worked non-stop over the next couple of months until Syd had to relocate back up north. This did not stop Metaphor from completing his project, he just hooked up with some of Atlanta's top local producers and finished the CD. Ladies and Gentlemen we present to you "METAPHOR" with his debut CD entitled "Identity Crisis: Meta4ically Speakin'and the rest is the future!
