Infectious Dance Music.......2007-05-30

You can't help but smile when this CD is played. The beat is infectious, the rhythms guaranteed to get your toes tapping and your head bobbing. Great party music--it loosens up everyone!

When I was about fourteen, I was introduced to Kassav while vacationing in St.Martin. I got to listen to this album anad the tracks were amazing. Every song is great to listen to and the music is very fun and positive. It is one of my favorite albums.

Zouk Mania!!.......2005-10-06

Even though this cd is not their best work, it still takes you back to Haiti and the french west indies. Zouk is truly the best music to come out of Haiti and France. Creole is its best symbol. I have been a Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Zouk, Kompa, and African music fan for 12 years now and I am not ready to give up on my music. While everyone else's music is Hip-hop, reggaeton, and rock. My kids and my family will carry the legacy of Reggae, Zouk, and soca music on! Jocelyne Beroard has the most exotic & extravegant vocals in the Zouk arena and I think no one can beat her with that Zouk-Kompa rhythm she brings to the table on every album she releases.

I don't speak French Creole, but I know good music when I hear it. I discovered "Zouk" music from 2 of the Putumayo collections! I absolutely fell in love with it. This is the band that made zouk music so popular in Guadeloupe, Martinique, Dominica. It is considered one of their best records. This music will make you dance non-stop! If you love zouk, I suggest you find some good Haitian Konpa as well. My favorite track on this Cd is "Djoni." Go get this and dance the night away!!:)

KASSAV ARE THE GREATEST.......2000-06-27

I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO KASSAV SINCE I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD. AND, MY HEART STILL GOES CRAZY WHEN I HEAR THE SOUND. ALTHOUGHT, I LEFT HAITI 13 YEARS, NO OTHER MUSIC BESIDE SOMETHING FROM THE FRENCH WEST INDIES WILL BE PLAYED IN MY STEREO. I LOVE KASSAV. THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST.
