About the Artist
MEG is an independent production label specializing in the production of multi-purpose instrumentals. The Motherland Sound spans a wide range of musical genres from Hip-hop and R&B, to Classical and movie soundtracks. MEG’s co-owner and resident producer, Way Deep, is an accomplished classical pianist who co-produced the best-selling Hip-hop album in his native country, Ghana, West Africa. All of his instrumentals are original compositions. Since July 2004, MEG has signed and developed two superstar rap acts and completed the recording of three albums, culminating in a Hip-hop production showcase like no other. Our first release, the "Motherland Mixtape Volume I� is akin to a drive-time radio show featuring voices from coast-to-coast rapping over Deep’s exquisite beats. Motherland Entertainment has a sound that will appeal to many, from the serious Hip-hop heads to those that don’t even like rap music.
