Not the best voice in the business but undeniably sincere, perfect for Saturday Morning or at a bar b que.

Product Description
The nature of today's music is to churn out as many records as possible while the artist is hot. For many music listeners there is a desire to return to good Soul Music. The current trend of new (neo) soul artists represents this movement. This album is retro soul at its finest. The music is created by a live studio band which is rare. If a listener has been longing for a real soul sound you can't find a better record.

5 out of 5 stars Love this AUTHENIC voice. .......2006-07-16

My favorite song is "Mountain Climbing". Once I heard that song, I sang it all day. The tune was so easy to humm. Real music, from a real man about a real man's life. Let's turn it on now and dance. Can you fell it?

ringtone88.com ch of the songs, and is extensively interviewed in Rudiger Bloemeke's long essay. Lots of great pictures, including several of Robertson with some fellow Nashville songwriting legends.

Anyone with a passion for country music and pop of the '50s and '60s needs this CD. You don't even have to like Elvis to appreciate its portrait of a sincere, talented songwriter at his best.

Disc comes in a slickly designed digipak foldout. Bear Family's sense of graphic design is rudimentary, to say the least, but it's usually functional. This is one of their better-looking packages in quite some time.

5 out of 5 stars A MUST for ELVIS fans!!!.......2003-09-11

This CD is a treasure especially for ELVIS fans. Elvis songs as ELVIS first heard them. Don Robertson has a beautiful voice & I think he sounds just like Elvis. I love this CD!
