About the Artist
The Bomb Skwad is a group who has a progressive vision for hip hop. With this vision, the group has issued a handful of indie singles in Richmond, VA such as N.E.W.S, Soft Noize and their debut album MIC FIGHT that heralds them as the next-generation torch-bearers for skill-based hip hop. Concocted in the labs of hip hop, Bomb Skwad's formula is unconventional - in that it is 100% original. Much of Bomb Skwad's musical armory centers around old school rhyming, flow, delivery and lyrical trickery, which with multi-contributors (BliSs, Ceaz & Ill Flow) offer ample opportunity for quick fire wisecracking and amazing mic tossing.

This album takes you back to 93 beat wise, but skill wise they are all 2005. It's been a while since I popped in a CD from a group I had never heard of and let the CD play front to back. This is that group. Their beat choices are amazing, each beat is dark, but put together so nice it keeps your head nodding, including the unbelievably raw Mighty Mighty Interlude. To my disappointment, The Bomb Skwad decided not to spit to that beat, but the Good, Bad, Ugly and Say Ahhhh made up for that. Let me repeat myself, this album is packed with raw ass beats. If you came up during the Wutang era, you will love this album.
On a final note, the sing-a-long Some Kinda Outro is hilarious, but at the same time catchy in an abstract way. Check this album out whenever you get the chance.
