Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great vocal warmup, especially of breath control, with unique syllabic exercises!.......2007-06-17

I am a piano teacher who also teaches voice, and this CD has been a lifesaver for me, it has helped improve problems with my voice students that
common popular exercises have failed to achieve. The breath control exercises especially have been an enormous help, and my students find them
not only challenging but fun as well. The warmup exercises are a little unique, bringing in tweet, hweet, and unique ways to improve sound production with exercises that combine air production with compression against the lips and teeth. The exercises as a whole help students with the lower register as well as the upper, and effectively improve power without yelling. A great program, I highly recommend!

5 out of 5 stars Enjoyment.......2007-05-20

I haven't had the opportunity to review it for myself. However, my niece in california was so excited to receive this. She said she's enjoying it. She's working on her vocals daily.

5 out of 5 stars great service.......2007-05-13

Came really quickly and just in time! I needed some help warming up for an early morning service I had to sing for and I was hoarse. this really helped.

4 out of 5 stars Good tool.......2007-05-12

I find this material very useful. The teacher makes it feel like you are in actual face to face voice lessons. Technically acceptable.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT INVESTMENT.......2007-03-09

IT COVERS THE BASICS AND THAT'S PERFECT FOR ME. IF YOU ARE MORE ADVANCED AND HAVE HAD PRIOR VOICE LESSONS YOU MAY FIND THIS TO BE TOO SIMPLE TECHNIQUES. I ENJOYED FOLLOWING THE EXERCISES AND REPATING THEM. I WILL DEFINATELY BUY THE NEXT VOLUME. [...]

5 out of 5 stars Instruments of the Orchestra - Great Reference Material!.......2007-04-04

This set lends itself to greatly enhancing one's knowledge of the orchestra, instruments in it, and their usage. I am a huge music buff, and I still picked up a great deal I previously did not know. I highly recommend this for all who wish to understand the origin of music, as well as the processes that are employed to create music!

5 out of 5 stars Beginner or Expert.......2007-03-12

This CD is excellent for the beginner or expert! To be able to haear the instrumets separately and then together really provides a good education. and/or refresher. The book thaty comes with the CD is alomost worth the price by itself!

5 out of 5 stars Very Informative and Enjoyable.......2006-11-20

Whether you're a music novice or pro, "The instruments of the Orchestra" is a very worthwhile purchase. The 7 CDs, with a total of 8 hours, are expertly narrated by Jeremy Siepmann. He's a great speaker, very much like the late Leonard Bernstein was. Mr. Siepmann takes you on an unforgetable musical journey covering the origins and use of the various orchestral instruments throughout musical history. The balance between his narration and a wealth of musical examples, which range from snippets to entire movements, is superb. The comprehensive enclosed booklet is excellent and faithfully follows the 7 CDs in content. Even with my 40+ years of music training I still learned new things from this wonderful collection. Considering the excellence of the content, and a cost that translates to about $5 per disc, this collection is a great value. Grab it, you won't regret that you did. Five solid stars!

3 out of 5 stars Frank's view.......2006-08-19

This boxed set of CD's with booklet achieved all I had hoped that it would. There are good samples of individual instruments and well done commentary on each. The only drawback was that some of the samples were too brief and could have been longer, hoiwever I guess this fits in with time constraints of the medium. It has given me a lot of clues as to future purchases of CD's for listening to individual instruments. Altogeth a satisfactory purchase and a welcome addition to my collection.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Intro for Those Not Familiar with the Orchestra.......2003-11-08

I've listened to classical music for years and am interested in composition. I bought this CD set to learn how an orchestra and its instruments work. I thought the CDs would be a nice but boring lecture. They aren't! Not only are they FUN but they are informative as well. I learned a huge amount from each CD and couldn't wait to listen to the next one.

The narrator and writer is a great speaker and holds your attention well. He is definitely knowledgeable. He provides musical examples for each point he makes, so you get to "hear" what he just talked about. I'd say the CDs are about 65% music and 35% narration. You'll learn about the range of instruments, some history, different ways to play them, how they sound, and how they are used in the orchestra. This CD set was a great learning experience and is sold at such a low price!

I recommend this CD for those who want to learn about classical music and those who know about it but are interested in learning more about the inner workings of an orchestra. You'll learn much useful information. For instance, the Rite of Spring (with that eerie start) is written for bassoon! I never knew a bassoon could sound like that but now I do.

The one complaint I have is the last CD. This deals with the orchestra. I wanted more of a tour of how the orchestra has been used through history up to the present. Instead, it was a tour of how different groups of instruments sound. I thought it could have been better. The other 6 CDs are excellent.

Long Island's Soul for Real is in the tradition of bubblegum soul groups from the Jackson 5 through New Edition to Immature. The title track of Soul for Real's debut release, Candy Rain, broke through as a top-five pop hit and is symptomatic of an album full of bouncy, catchy melodies buoyed by sweet, skillful singing. Like the Jacksons, the four members of Soul for Real are actual brothers who also hand over the lead vocals to the youngest brother, in this case 14-year-old Jason Dalrymple. The Dalrymple brothers get an invaluable assist from producer-songwriter Heavy D, one of the most underrated talents of the hip-hop scene. Heavy D, who has a hand in every track on Candy Rain, fashions songs that are more innocent than his usual seduction fare but no less romantic or sumptuous. The puppy-love sentiments of "Every Little Thing I Do" and "I Wanna Be Your Friend" are delivered with such heartfelt sincerity and melodic ingenuity that anyone who remembers his or her first crush (no matter how long ago) should empathize. And Soul for Real display their gift for sophisticated harmonies with their Take 6-like a cappella version of Bill Withers's "Ain't No Sunshine." --Geoffrey Himes

5 out of 5 stars Every Little Thing They Do.......2006-12-21

Is mad hot and very well done. It was easy to see from the very first note that Soul For Real had the goods and delivered them. With finesse, class and style no bumping and grinding or suggestive lyrics were needed. Just a heartfelt longing and sincerity that they brought into each and every song. Obviously "Candy Rain" was where it all started for these 4 brothers and they let everyone know that Soul For Real had arrived and could get down with the best of them. It's amazing to have someone that young with the vocals that Jason delivers in this song. The next hot joint being "Every Little Thing I Do" which had a very dancable beat to it and featured a SFR member taking the lead vocal reins this time and doing it with a cool and confident swagger with another well done video. The guys showed folks that werent some one hit wonders out for a quick buck.

With other very noteworthy tracks like "All In My Mind" with a heavy beat that resonates throughout the track and superb vocals once again by the guys. "If You Want It" was another hit off the album as well featuring their sisters-Nicole & Desiree on background vocals and Heavy D providing the hot lyrics this album just kept right on rolling. "I Wanna Be Your Friend", Jason delivers heartfelt vocals letting that certain someone know what they mean to him and the guys providing stellar backing vocals as well, its another not to be slept on track. Most interesting track would be their cover of Bill Withers song "Ain't No Sunshine" but you wouldnt know this because its handled with class and integrity. "Spend the Night" is sung and done well by Andre its a slow burner and adds another element to the cd overall.

"I Don't Know" follows the previous song and again. Its one that you can't skip at all. It's the longest song on the cd but you dont feel that at all. Its just enjoyable to listen to and i do just that. "If Only You Knew" is a cover of the Patti Labelle and i know it bears repeating but Soul For Real handle this song with care and breathe something new into and the vocals well you just have to hear them especially Jason towards the end of the song. You'll know what i mean when you hear it. With "Thinking of You" closing out the song its simple and all but well done brings to a close a stellar CD that still gets mad play by me and a worthy purchase for anyone that didnt get "Candy Rain" for whatever reason.

4 out of 5 stars Slept on group.......2006-01-31

I remeber back in the spring of 1995, Candy Rain was a huge hit for Soul IV Real. Going to the middle school dances and hearing this song would be the highlight of the night. The follow up song Every Little Thing I Do which sampled The Gap Band was another huge smash, but for some reason their parent label MCA seemed to focus more on Immature.Soul For Real had good production due to Heavy D and Kenny "G-Love" Greene manning the group behind the scenes.

3 out of 5 stars honest.......2005-09-15

what ever happened to this group? They had some good songs. Everyone loved candy rain.

5 out of 5 stars 10 years old and still sounding good.......2005-03-28

This album is 10 years old and to me, it STILL sounds good. I remember when I first heard "Candy Rain" on the radio. I was deeply drawn to it. For one thing, I liked the beat a lot, knowing was Tribe Called Quest's "Check The Rhime" beat. The lyrics were real sweet and I loved it. Then "Every Little Thing I Do" was released as their next single. I remembered how nice the video was, with the people on skates, skating around them as they sang. One of my favorite songs off of this album in addition to the two above is "I Don't Know." This song is soooooo pretty. This album will always be a classic to me.

Album Description

"...In an agitated stream, it is difficult to see a reflection. In a calm lake, that reflection is clear...."

Liquid Mind VII: Reflection, the seventh in Liquid Mind 's unique ultra-slow relaxation albums, ebbs and flows with a peaceful and introspective elegance. Science has proven that our minds and bodies harmonize with the tempo of our surroundings, and that slow music may cause a general relaxation of muscle tension. This beautiful album is "musical healthcare" at its best: ideal for sleeping, meditation, anxiety and anger management, as a background to Reiki, Yoga, massage, and to enhance all healing activities. Parents and teachers find it useful to quiet hyperactive kids, veterinarians use the music to help animals recovering from surgery, mothers give birth to it, students study to it, artists paint and writers write to the musical backdrop of Liquid Mind. This subtle music has a way of opening our hearts and minds to our true selves.

Looking for great meditation music? Listen to Liquid Mind's assortment of musical meditation arrangements! I purchased Liquid Mind III years ago it's music became almost sacred to myself and other family members and friends. So, I purchased the entire series! Need I say more?!!!!
The music has a great "trademark" sound but each CD has it's own uniqueness. I found it was great anytime you need "background" music. I loved each and every CD by Liquid Mind and will treasure the music always. Thanks to Chuck Wild and all involved in the production of Liquid Mind!

IT is so soothing I can forget my noise filled mind and find a cloud to stretch out onto and just be......nothing

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for.......2007-01-17

I always tried to relax by listening to classical music. Some classical is relaxing, but it can change tempo and volume often which I find distracting. This is much more calming then anything I've ever found. We have two of these cd's -- Reflection and Unity. I use it in the kitchen, or while I'm reading at bedtime. My 10-year-old listens to one at bedtime to help him calm down. I really love these cd's.

5 out of 5 stars A perfect CD for Massage.......2006-04-14

As a massage therapist, it is really tough to find appropriate music for a session. This CD hits the mark. No singing, chanting, or other distracting bird calls. Just pure melodious tunes that flow from one song to the other. My clients love this CD and you will too.

This Ron Howard film parlays the troubled story of Nobel laureate John Forbes Nash Jr., a gifted Princeton mathematics professor tormented for decades by paranoid schizophrenia, into something considerably richer than typical Hollywood triumph-against-all-odds fare. Howard has teamed here again with frequent collaborator James Horner, and it's the composer who deftly shades the film's difficult emotional landscape and helps impart a compelling humanity. Horner's first task is not inconsiderable: musically portraying the arcane realm of mathematical theorems that are the story's backdrop. In doing so, the composer leans heavily on modern minimalist technique, bright flourishes that recur briefly throughout an orchestral score that increasingly reflects Nash's bleak inner landscape in its quietly somber and brooding tones. And while Horner has frequently been accused of excessively repeating himself in his scores, the neo-minimalist gambit employed on this reflectively pastoral, postmodernist soundscape neatly nips such criticism in the bud. Nash's triumph is ultimately an intensely personal one, well reflected in Welsh soprano Charlotte Church's lilting performance of the Horner/Will Jennings ballad "All Love Can Be." This enhanced CD also features notes by the director and composer, as well as exclusive photos and the film's trailer. --Jerry McCulley

3 out of 5 stars Haven't I heard this before?.......2007-06-20

As other reviewers will tell you yes this is another Horner machine made soundtrack. But it still sounds good! If you are a Horner fan by all means buy it otherwise "at your own risk"!

And another thing that gets me is no one even bothered to mention "Alicia Discovers Nash's Dark World" I happened to like this one this is the song that plays when he is in the hospital.

5 out of 5 stars a beautiful score.......2007-02-09

James Horner's soundtrack for A BEAUTIFUL MIND is as psychologically intense as the film it so effectively embellishes.

Charlotte Church provides an appropriately eerie and largely non-verbal soprano to this remarkable motion picture score, yet one that would seem only quirky were it not so beautifully embedded in a musical stream that draws one inexorably and almost vicariously into the emotional turbulence of the Princeton mathematician John Nash.

There is an angelic nature to the shape and texture of this music, one that is able to turn demonic as the story line requires. Both by brilliance and by dementia, Nash seems the object of external forces, rising with supreme heroism (at least in the film's version of events) to conquer. The music is there at each score, coaxing the viewer into empathic solidarity with this deeply troubled man and his long-suffering and preternaturally beautiful wife.

This is mood music of the deeply engaging variety. Its lush tonal landscape is achieved under the baton of the composer himself. The score's vast range of volume and expression would certainly have made it a joy to watch in performance.

Alas, we don't have that.

But we have this.

An ethereal, compelling, even gripping tone poem. Buy it.

5 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Mind.......2006-08-09

Absolutely gorgeous - my husband keeps it in his car and listens to it whenever he's driving.

5 out of 5 stars Haunting, lovely, majestic.......2006-04-04

The sound track for "A Beautiful Mind" stayed with me long after the movie. The CD has all the themes that made the movie so emotionally powerfull. James Horner, composer and conductor, perfectly matches the excitement of genius and the terror of mental disability. Charlotte Church's clear and gentle voice compliments the music and used instrumentally creates a haunting refrain. I loved the movie and this music is wonderful.

5 out of 5 stars Dark.......2006-02-20

This is one of the darkest and most emotional soundtrack, and yet it is filled with more inspiring songs.
Best soundtrack ive ever heard.

Slow World is the second album of deep relaxation music by Liquid Mind, the name used by Los Angeles composer & songwriter Chuck Wild for his series of very slow stress relief music albums. My Liquid Mind albums seem to have an immediate "slowing down" effect onlisteners, and may help people get to sleep, or to calm down after a tension-filled day. uninterrupted relaxation, the ideal companion for those working long hours at computers terminals who suffer from the effects of stress. The music of Liquid Mind is great music to massage to, great music to create to, great music to go to sleep by, great music for those intimate moments with one you love. This functional and peaceful album is also used by parents to quiet hyperactive children, and to assist themselves in going back to sleep in the middle of a difficult night.

5 out of 5 stars Slow World by Liquid Mind.......2007-05-13

This is an excellent music CD for deep relaxation, massage, acupuncture treatments, yoga, meditation, or getting the baby to sleep. It maintains a consistent "zoney" quality from beginning to end with no tempo change, no surprises. The instrument is a synthesized keyboard and the chord progressions take long gradual steps up and down. That's it.

5 out of 5 stars Really good stuff.......2007-05-08

I use this CD to put yself to sleep at night, after a horrible day. Never fails to relax me, and put my mind at rest. Thanks, Chuck!

1 out of 5 stars Bradycardia.......2006-11-22

A follow up to Liquid Mind #1; Ambience Minimus (which is a wonderful CD). Slow World follows the same tonal layered formula of #1, but is benign and energyless. It's linear evolution is similar, but it's field of space is shallow. Leaving the listener bored. I agree with "spotlight reviewer" Mr. King. It will put you to sleep. But thats not what good ambient music is intended for. The intent of a good slow book is not to put you to sleep, but rather to give you something to dwell upon. Ambient music also gives you a field allowing your consciousness to wander.

4 out of 5 stars Decompression for everyone.......2006-03-03

This is a very helpful CD for those of us prone to stress, and those who aren't. The only drawback is I wish it were longer.

5 out of 5 stars Great for Massage.......2005-11-03

I have many many CD's which I play while I do massage. I have never had so many people comment on a particular CD as I have this one. It's very calming, and seems to put people more deeply into a relaxed state. There is far less talking by my more talkative clients when this CD plays.

Ambience Minimus is the first album of deep relaxation music by Liquid Mind, the name used by Los Angeles composer & songwriter Chuck Wild for his series of very slow stress relief music albums. 5 out of 5 stars More soporific than a lecture on differential equations (a good thing!).......2007-05-14

You do, as another reviewer has pointed out, only need one or two of "Liquid Mind" cd's, because they are all composed on the same principle. So listen to the various samples for each album and find one that you seem to like. Ten minutes of this on my cd player in my bedroom and I am soundly asleep. I've never experienced anything like this; it's like a sleeping potion for your ears.

I imagine you could do yoga, relaxation therapy, or massage to this. As for me, I play this before bed and I find I sleep soundly and immediately. Better for you than a prescription and no hangover!

5 out of 5 stars Brain Massage.......2006-11-21

Four generous tracks of angelic layers of interwoven ethereal cloudscapes. One part new age one part ambient. A very satisfying massage of your frontal lobe. Indeed you will feel somehow lighter after playing this. Yet not the kind of music to "listen" to but rather play in the background for daily mind liquification. Best of all the Liquid Mind projects. This is not "minimalist" music as the title suggests. It is cleanly produced yet avoids the error of overproduction.

4 out of 5 stars Ambience Minimus - Liquid Mind (1).......2006-08-20

I use this product for massage background music. All Liquid Mind Series work well for massage purposes. After purchasing the entire series, I realized you really only needed 1 or 2 of this style.

2 out of 5 stars Ambience Minimus.......2006-08-07

Packaging for this CD suggested the ambience would be mystical, magical and relaxing. The CD was totally disappointing. The sounds emitted were very barren, and there was no "song". The sounds that were audible were very pretty, but they were scarce.

5 out of 5 stars Yes! What I was looking for...........2005-04-22

I had been looking for another CD to play during meditation that was similar to Awakened Mind by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, and I finally found one I like. The Awakened Mind was so great because of the "entraining" of sounds and also because it didn't have a predictable melody--you could just experience it and go with the flow. (I find it hard to meditate without some kind of music or ambient sounds due to the tinnitus in my ears--the joy of being over the hill!)

I have the Chakra Suite CD by Steven Halpern, which I enjoy, and also Ancient Echoes by Halpern and Georgia Kelly (which I'm not as crazy about--I'm afraid a little of Halpern goes a long way.) Reiki: The Light Touch by Merlin's Magic is pretty nice, although there is a repeating melody throughout, so I have been searching for something that has those deep bass notes that are sustained while the more ethereal high notes sound over them, and this CD has them. Others have complained a bit about the wind chimes, but to be truthful I probably wouldn't have noticed them--that's kind of what I hear all the time anyway!

All in all a very soothing CD that I think I will be able to enjoy and meditate with quite often. There are four tracks so one could listen to just one for a quick bit of relaxation or the whole CD if time permits.

5 out of 5 stars Liquid mind is what you are looking for.......2007-05-25

Liquid mind albums are just what you are looking for if you need a cd for sleep, meditation, or napping. This album is difficult to stay awake to. Synth sounds glide in and out like clouds; you can't focus on one too long as it will pass by and you will find another sound-cloud to float on. No rhythm, no melody, no beat; there is enough change to keep you from being able to predict what is going to happen next but not so much that you stay alert. Very good for this purpose.

5 out of 5 stars ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......2007-03-10

This is one incredible compact disc. It is so good, I can't wait to get home, hop in bed and throw the headphones on. The synthesizers are soooo soothing, they put me in a state of cosmic euphoria. I feel the stress of the day, just being pulled out of my body, and a soothing clam that follows. It is one of 3 that I have purchased which provide the same sense of tranquility that I require at the end of the day. If your daily life is filled with stress, (and who's isn't). This CD is highly recommended.....

2 out of 5 stars Numb Resemblance.......2006-11-30

Balance is a mirror of Chuck Wild's first project (Ambience Minimus) 3 years earlier. Unfortunately there is no forward progress in the Liquid Mind series. There is more warmth than it's predacesor "Slow World", but that ethereal "Ambience Minimus" tone is lacking. Here the tone tends to be outlaid rather than uprisen. Yes it dose maintain that flowing monochromatic state and it's planes dissolve well with some interesting soundshifting. But that is not enough to make this project appealing.

4 out of 5 stars Liquid Mind III: Balance.......2006-08-20

I use this product for massage background music. All Liquid mind CD work well. After purchasing the entire series, I realized you really only need 1 or 2 of this style.

5 out of 5 stars A superb work.......2005-05-14

In my opinion, this is Liquid Mind's best work. If you haven't listened to this type of music before it is quite different. There is no beat, no melody, but drifting synthesizers that rise and dance on a theme of inspiration and grace. If you're looking for Yanni type New Age music you won't like this. If you're looking for something that plays well in the background as you do your work or meditate, this just might be the cd for you. One of my favorites.

I gave it to my father who leads a meditation healing group at his church. They play this cd during their session and people really find it promotes an atmosphere of quiet positivity.

5 out of 5 stars TIME TRAVEL.......2006-08-15

LIKE A TRIP BACK IN TIME. FROM THE FIRST NOTES, I WAS TRANSPORTED.

4 out of 5 stars Interesting variety.......2006-03-28

One of the problems I have with many early music CDs is an emphasis on one place in a time period. This reissue manages to avoid that flaw by including minnesinger, troubador, trouvere, and instrumental pieces, though the liner notes could easily have told us which of the pieces were troubador, and which trouvere, instead of just the tantalizing "two are troubador (written in langue d'oc)" without identifying which.

As a sampler, it is excellent, though the vocal pieces tend to be somewhat slow--not all the lyrics seem consistent with that delivery, so this is probably an artist's choice. It would be interesting to hear the same pieces performed now, 30 years later, with 30 years of new scholarship. Ah well, nothing is perfect!

5 out of 5 stars A trip through history.......2005-09-29

The time of the Crusades spanned several centuries, from the time Pope Urban II called upon Christendom to fight for Jerusalem until the thirteenth century (this does not include the numerous minor, unnumbered crusades, sometimes against other Christians). The Crusades became for many in the Middle Ages a romantic ideal; the appeal for those who would join the Crusades was two-fold, both riches in this world and salvation in the next.

In this collection, the texts of the songs are primarily contemporary with the Crusades, although a few come from later troubadour and folk songs. Some songs here directly relate to the Crusades in content (for example, Pax in nomine Domini!), whereas others are songs contemporary with and popular among the Crusaders, but have no direct relation to the Crusades. 'Ja nus hons pris' is one such song, which has origins attributed to one of the most famous of the Crusaders, Richard the Lionhearted.

One of the problems with music from this time period is that very little written material exists. What music notation there is often is reminiscent of Gregorian chant - there are markers for pitch, but nothing for rhythmic values, melodies, etc. Similarly, the types of instruments are often not listed for particular songs, so it becomes educated guesswork as to the instruments used - lutes, rebec, wind instruments, percussion, etc.

The performances here are wonderful and full. The Early Music Consort of London recorded this first for vinyl in 1970; this CD is a reissue, well engineered. David Munrow was the director as well as performer on recorder, fluet, shawm, crumhorn and bagpipes. Munrow's talents are well suited to this kind of medieval music. Among the other performers are soprano Christina Clarke, counter tenors James Bowman and Charles Brett, tenor Nigel Rogers and baritone Geoffrey Shaw. Musicians include Eleanor Sloan on treble rebec, Oliver Brookes on bass rebec, James Tyler on lute and citole, Gillian Reid on the bells, Christopher Hogwood on harp, organ, nakers and tabor, and James Blades on nakers and tabor.

This recording is superb, a great addition to an early music library, and a joy to have as a CD - I had the vinyl of this, but over time it warped in storage, and I was very sad to have lost such a brilliant collection of music. Here it is again, restored and full of power and life.

2 out of 5 stars Overrated.......2005-03-03

Note that I am a harsh reviewer, especially for music... but there are a lot of problems with this CD and there are better other there.

It is certainly interesting music and it does have historical value, but it is by no means unique.

Here are my criticisms:

1)
All of the 19 tracks are short. They range from 1-4 minutes with an average of around 2 1/2 minutes per track.

2)
This wouldn't be all that bad, except that none of those 19 tracks really stood out. They are all slow-paced and generic with little feeling of variety. Essentially, despite being a fan of the genre, I just couldn't get 'into' any of the music. It was not at all inspiring.

3)
One of my favorite things about medieval/renaissance music is the excellent balance and combination of voice talent and instruments.
This CD did not come through at all in that area, however.
The majority of this CD was the mellow, slow-paced singing that many people associate with the genre.
However, whenever the singers got going, the relatively few instruments all disappeared entirely, leaving you with just the singers (who weren't powerful enough to carry the show alone).

If you are a fan of the genre, then you might want to add this to your collection just because it isn't very expensive.

However, if you are merely interested in trying out the archaic music genre, then I defintely would recommend:
"Sinners & Saints - The Ultimate Medieval and Renaissance Music Collection"
*instead* of this one.
I gave Sinners & Saints a 5/5 - It was the CD that this one should've been.
