Pretty on the Inside is a cd that ultimately became a casualty in my music collection. First of all, I am not a Hole hater, I love the band of Courtney Love's screaming voice but this particular album is an absolute mess! The lyrics are somewhat hilarious but not much is being said and the music is non-cohesive. None of the songs are complete or brilliant. If you want a great Hole album then try Live Through This, My Body, The Hand Grenade or Celebrity Skin. Those are real and breathtaking albums. Discard Pretty on the Inside, it's not that beautiful kids.

Listining to this alum is to the ears what eating sour nails is to the mouth, and it feels so good. The music is fantastic and the lyrics are brilliant. Courtney Love is one of the most under rated lyracists of our time.

Out of all the albums, this is clearly the most raw, Live Through This should be about a balance between this and Celebrity Skin. Courtney has a great voice, a truly unique voice that not many can copy. This cd is full of rage, really it's a good cd to listen to if you've had not so good of a day. It's also an extremely addictive cd...I don't know how I lived without it. It's too bad Hole usually doesn't get the credit they deserve.

Heavy, raw and open; this CD really blows away any of the so called "Riot Grrls." A lot of kids want "Punk Rock" but they want it as a suburban commodity, nice and pretty and clean. These songs are angry, pissed off, dirty and ooze with female bombast. This is a classic CD and when the smoke clears, you will see that this is grungier and nastier than Nirvana or other so called grunge bands.

Pretty on The Inside is out there and raw, its a very different album from Live Through This and Celebrity Skin (but all three are very different from each other), its good but it you can't listen to it all at once and expect to like it, it takes multiple listens.

I first heard venus malone when my friend sent me one of her songs "Best Inspiration". I instantly fell in love will the song and her style that i had to get the ceedee.

1.I Realize - 5/5 stars. her voice is great in this song
2.Cliche Interlude + Cliche - 5/5 stars. This song is so great. The chorus is just so nice to listen to.
4.One on One - 4/5stars I like the beats and the chorus
5. Phatt A55 - 5/5stars haha fun song to sing along to. The lyrics are fun
6.Best Inspiration - 5/5 stars. This song is SO GOOD. Possibly my favorite song on the album along with Cliche
7. Ain't Home Tonight - 4/5 stars. I like this song...but it sounds like another song i know...i kant figure out who....
8. Rainin Tears - 3/5 very slow song. I don't really feel for this one.
9. Table For two - 5/5stars Nice feel to the music. nice music, background beats...
10. Eye on the prize - 5/5stars i give this five stars just because i like the chorus part.
11. Evolution - 5/5stars I love this song! Nice chill-out feel to it.
12. The End - 4/5stars Starts out slow then picks up, sounds nice.
13. Eye on the prize remix - 4/5 I like the original one better. #10

This is my opinion. Cliche, Best Inspiration and Evolution are my favorites. :D Anyways, overall this is a great album and Venus Malone has a great voice. To me, this album was different from other music i've been hearing. Also, it fits perfectly in my collection of "chill-out" music. Nice relaxation album. :D

I can only recommend this album. I rated this CD 4 stars because to me some of her songs are a bit to R&B.
Now why I rated it 4 stars and not 3 is just very simply because she has a great voice and most of her tracks are great, for exemple "Cliché",
I stongly recommend it. It is original..
If you are in a chill out mood this is wath you are looking for.
You can compare her to a very modern version of Diana Krall (I mean very) ..

great sound, great voice Venus is a wonderful new in recent music. My favorite song is cliche, but I love this album all.
