stinky for Einstein.......2007-08-03
Generally Einstein is always a winner but this was not in our book (Baby and Me) Try someone else before buying . The libary is a great resource to check it out ahead.
Lame.......2007-07-22
I was really disappointed in this CD. I was expecting a toned-down version of real classical music, but it sounds really fake and tinkley and weird. Not soothing at all.
Sounds like a cheap plastic toy.......2007-06-20
I have these DVD's and I can tell you that they will not be a huge part of my baby's development. I received them as a gift from someone that thinks that all you need to do is plunk your child in front of a TV all day without giving the baby any attention. You can see why these DVD's are popular at Day Care Centers or what I like to call, "Concentration camps for baby's with lazy parents", because they know that they can sit their kid/baby in front of the TV and let them turn into a thoughtless zombie while they listen to Baby Einstein totally ruin classics by Bach and DeBussy by playing the music with very cheap midi keyboards. I can get better quality music by whistling Dixie with a mouth-full of saltine crackers.
Also, it has been proven that classical music has nothing to do with the cognitive development of young people. Now, teach them how to play piano or violin and you have yourself an actual YOUNG EINSTEIN, but listening to this kind of music does nothing for the development of the brain. It is just for lazy parents that can't sit down with their kids and play with them or read them a book.
would make you sleepy.........2007-06-15
its a good product with very fine music and my toddler realizes that it is sleep time, if I play it. he goes to bed and sleeps after a couple songs. I have trouble in some songs are some months.. dont know why.
Kid's Music.......2007-06-08
I bought this CD for my grandniece, but after listening to it, I determined that no one would ever play this for her except me. I would have kept it for myself but I have the grown-up versions of each of the classical masterpieces on this CD. So, I ended up returning it for a full refund. If you want your kids to be exposed to classicl music, it's a great buy. But if you don't think they will get to listen to it, don't waste your time.

Baby Beluga is a fun-filled collection of favorite children's songs and Raffi originals, all performed in the singer's folksy, expressive style. Beluga begins with the sounds of whales communicating in their high-pitch squeaks (which presented here come across as cute and sweet) and features melodic lines that evoke vivid pictures of gentle waves and a frolicking whale. An illustrated sing-along book that is published separately is a nice companion to this first track, giving young listeners visual images of the song's narrative. The rest of this varied album blends traditional songs like "Oats and Beans and Barley" and "This Old Man" with four original pieces by Raffi, including the instrumental "Water Dance." Liner notes have the complete lyrics, a description and history of beluga whales, and explanations of Raffi's inspiration and ties to each song. This is an excellent album with catchy tunes that's sure to become a household favorite. --Tami Horiuchi

My daughter's favorite!.......2007-07-16
My 2-year-old first heard this CD at daycare, and she fell in love with the title track, Baby Beluga. We got the CD to play at home, and I have to say I never ever thought I would like Raffi... and we really like this music! My husband and I just aren't into kids' music, but this Raffi CD is more like folk music to us. We not only tolerate it, we actually enjoy it... well, maybe just the first 10 times we have to listen to Baby Beluga and Biscuits in the Oven -- after granting our daughter's "Again! Again!" requests, the songs do get a little old ;)
Our favorite CD.......2007-06-08
We don't have a huge number of kid CDs but may have 10 including 4 Raffi CDs. This is our favorite. There is only one song that we really don't care for about a Giraffe at a zoo. There are many we didn't know before that we have grown to love, especially the title song, Baby Beluga. The CD ends in a song about a train to morning town that I sing to the kids at night with their names substituted. There are songs with messages I like the kids to hear such as "Thanks A Lot" and "All I really need is a song in my heart and love in my family (not the real name but I don't have it with me). The CD is a nice mix of songs from happy to loving to night time.
Baby Beluga CD.......2007-05-25
Overall this is a fun CD to listen to, my 2 yr old was entertained, as well as my 5 yr old. There are a couple of slow songs, but for the most part they are upbeat. Listen to the sample, that is what sold me.
Raffi is a timeless children's classic........2007-05-12
That's all- Raffi is a timeless children's classic. Easy to sing along to, easy to listen to!
Lots of Fun!.......2007-04-27
We love this CD. The songs are great and lots of fun to sing along with. It pleasantly surprised me that although these songs were recorded in 1980, they don't sound 80's. I would recommend buying this book along with it for even more fun! Baby Beluga (Raffi Songs to Read)

Of all the reasons you'll click the Add to Shopping Cart button next to Baby Einstein's Baby Mozart--and there are many--the best one is that playing this record for babies doesn't feel weird. Instead of subjecting tiny, tender ears to the kind of Mozart that can make adult classical fans wilt when tackled by a maestro who means business, this is Mozart lite, mixed and mastered by a dad, Bill Weisbach, who's clearly hung around for his share of crib-side cooing. The slightly tinny sound of a child's piano sweeps the sting out of Piano Sonata in B Flat's third movement; the first movement of Concerto for Flute and Harp in C floats by, birdlike; variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" translate to a fancy-sounding (but adorable) "Twinkle, Twinkle"; and Piano Sonata in F's third movement snuggles so deeply into its childlike setting that if you close your eyes, you'll see a pastel parade of animals floating by overhead. Other pieces (more aptly called fragments, since only one track stretches beyond the three-minute mark), like Symphony No. 41's fourth movement, wander into more robust Mozart territory, but it's here the claims about classical music enhancing young kids' abstract reasoning skills and spatial intelligence crystallize. Babies strapped in for a roller coaster of sounds that gracefully dips, swerves, and high-jumps like this version, do have to process what they're hearing somehow (and a case could be made that the instruments Weisbach's chosen--the vibraphone, glockenspiel, and music box among them--make it more appealing for them to do so). Followers of Julie Aigner-Clark's Baby Einstein empire, many of whom opted out of the fan club once Disney bought the company in 2001, won't trip over a single Mickey Mouse-ified sound here. This is pure, plugged in, and muted Mozart, and if it doesn't make your baby smarter, it'll at least sound awfully sweet issuing from your nursery's speakers. --Tammy La Gorce

Lively and comforting CD!.......2007-06-12
This CD is inspiring and comforting! I have listened to it a lot since I got it and will continue to share it with junior when he arrives.
Baby loves this music!.......2007-02-17
Puts our 6-week old daughter to sleep. What more could you ask for!
Baby Mozart.......2007-02-14
Although the selection of music was good, I was disappointed at the synthesized sounds of the music. I have heard much of the "Mozart Effect" for stimulating learning in young minds, but why market it this way? Just turn on your radio to your local classical music station and give your child the benefit of the real thing without having to put more money in Disney's pockets.
great gift - thank you.......2007-01-18
thankyou - I gave this as a gift - they loved it
Great music for baby AND mom.......2006-04-18
I bought this CD with a gift card, because I wanted some soothing music for my daughter's naptime. In looking at the titles of the pieces, I didn't recognize very many, but in listening to the CD I found that I recognize much of the music. I was pleased at how calming it was and found myself humming various pieces throughout the day.
I would recommend this CD, and plan to purchase other Baby Einstein music!

Lullabies lend themselves to woozy re-creations, a sort of endless repetition that flags under the weight of the concept (putting kids to bed for their much-needed sleep) and the lack of weight accorded to the music. You might expect a Disney lullaby collection to be on a par with the most mediocre collections, but this one is really a fine set. The tunes are standard--from the famous "Brahms Lullaby" to "All the Pretty Little Horses"--but they're uniformly excellent and creative, staying within the realm of acoustic music that sounds and feels organic. These are Disney-related tunes, for the most part, so "Stay Awake" is here, as is the whimsical "Sleep, Daddy, Sleep." Musically, the set is varied, steering away from a repetition of instrumentation or delivery. That makes it easily entertaining enough for back-to-back listens, which any parent will be asked for with this collection. --Andrew Bartlett

...tale as old as time..........2007-08-06
I've used this album for all four of my children, ages 12 weeks to 15 years - from their infancy through their toddlerhood. You won't find a sweeter set of songs. Just a precious, precious album.
An ok Night time cd.......2007-07-14
I had this a long time ago when my now 5 yr old was an infant. I LOVED it then....not so much now. U can find alot of these songs by different artists on iTUnes
We LOVE this CD.......2007-07-10
A few years ago someone made us a copy of this tape and my kids played it over and over again until the tape broke. Thank goodness for CDs, because this one gets much use!
The only drawback (and it is not really that big a deal) is that my girls tend to sing along to the songs when they should be focusing on going to sleep! :)
I would not hesitate to recommend this one to my family and friends! We are very happy with this CD.
Wonderful !!!!.......2007-06-12
I spent quite some time searching for the perfect lullaby cd for my newborn daughter. I wanted lyrics. I purchased this one, and I LOVE IT!!! The songs are great, syrupy sweet. I listen to it at least twice daily and am not tired of it. My daughter already recognizes it when I turn it on, and it is a part of our bedtime routine. Wonderful!
Amazing memories of the past.......2007-04-14
I just can't believe this is still available! this is awsome!I had the cassette version for my son (20years ago) and still have it but no cassette player to play it (every this is cd now) so I'm going to definately order this as I have grandkids now and this worked a treat getting my kids off to sleep when they were little ......very soothing and has always stayed eatched in my memory.

On No Doubt's great Rock Steady, Gwen Stefani was a "girl that hangs with the boys... just sippin' on chamomile." Three years and a KROQ-nerd Talk Talk cover later, she presents a solo debut that wants it all--Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, backseat love and lifetime devotion, '70s pop throwbacks and hip-hop beats as well as Clash adoration (she continues to be managed by the firm of Rebel Waltz, named for a mournful Sandinista! cut). Among the standout tracks are the stomping, Neptunes-driven "Hollaback Girl," the tongue-in-cheek Eve/Dr. Dre collaboration "Rich Girl," and the girl-power manifesto "What You Waiting For?"; another tune, "The Real Thing," nods toward role-model Madonna's "Holiday." Though it can't match Rock Steady's inexorable track-by-track flow, Love, Angel, Music, Baby is such state-of-the-art pop that the description almost feels like damning it with faint praise. --Rickey Wright
Album Description
In her own unique way, Gwen Stefani has managed to shift our culture since coming onto the scene as the lead singer of No Doubt. With years of defining style and 30 million in record sales under her belt, she will again turn heads with this debut record that is as fresh as it is retro and as progressive as it is feel-good familiar.
With this project, she has enlisted some of the biggest names in music (Dr. Dre, Eve, The Neptunes, Andre 3000, Nellee Hooper, Dallas Austin, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Linda Perry and Tony Kanal) to create a genre bending masterpiece that is guaranteed to be one of the most talked about records of this year (2004) and beyond.

A definate hit, all the songs are great.
Appealingly Chaotic Bag of Modern Pop.......2007-05-30
Gwen Stefani's solo debut (2004) was far different than many expected after the No Doubt career -- this is a hodge-podge of modern rhythms and styles taken from the hottest producers of the day. Never going much out of pop-control, but truly entertaining nevertheless. From the Neptunes-penned minimalist treasure "Hollaback Girl" to cosmically energetic duet with OutKast's Andre ("Long Way to Go"), it's a funny and surprisingly high-quality ride. Also check out the suave "Luxurious" and summery "Cool." And, meanwhile, "Love.Angel.Music.Baby" is considerably better than Gwen's follow-up, "The Sweet Escape".
Great! A throwback to the 80's in many ways.......2007-05-27
Yes, the 80's appear to be back. Stefani's first solo album won't disappoint you. It includes some of the zany tunes that you would have expected from No Doubt.
Hollaback girl ( the banana song) is probably the funniest, craziest song on the CD. But, then there are smooth, slow hits like cool with beautiful music, and catchy lyrics. There are some other faster 80
s-ish dance songs on the track- lots of feel good music. There are even some odd r&b tracks that I don't think fit Stefani best. However, as a new solo artist I think it's fitting to test out some new territories. As far as variety goes though- this one has it.
It definitely leaves me looking forward to her sophmore album.
What exactly were you thinking???.......2007-05-19
This is one of the most failed, pretentious solo debuts I have ever come across!
What can I say, most people have said it all already! The tackiness and narcissism of her lyrics are indescribable, her music seems as if it was roughly programmed by a children's pc, her overall presence as if she was trying to impose her new arrogant self as the latest fashion. And there exactly lies the problem. It is more than likely that Stefani's arrogance simply derives from her belief that her ex-punk persona will help her not only get away with it, but make her look unique and 'uber-cool', thus bringing lots of cash. Only problem is, songs like 'Hollaback girl' and 'Bubble electric' don't make you look 'uber-cool', more like desperate to attract teenage audiences or adult fans that are simply musically illiterate and because of them, talentless bimboes like Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton and Beyonce Knowles (yes, and Madonna) that sing cheap vomitting 'songs' and think that dead animals are fashionable and luxurious became rich in the first place. Only thing is, Stefani was never one of the above, and the only thing that saves her from the comparison is her declarations that she is not a fur-wearing monster.
This album also proves that for some people 'rock' is more of a fashion tendency than an identity, and this is obvious by the 'easiness' that singers are characterized as 'rock' because some of their songs have quitar inputs (take Shakira for example, who desperately wants to be 'rock' but also goes for the buck, ie hideous collaborations with Wyclef Jean and Beyonce Knowles). Rock artists don't sell their music and they don't design clothes! Enough with this joke already! Until the 80s american music used to be fantastic, how did it start polluting the world all of a sudden?
Anyway, this CD is just cheap. It's nothing but the a-bit-too desperate attempt of an over-ambitious woman to project herself as the new 'revolutionary' fashion icon of the decade, still, it can only be consumed by the naive and the stupid. I actually gave it away to charity.
Catch It But It Goes Away.......2007-04-19
I was so looking forward to Love Angel Music Baby when it hit the shelves, but like a lot of other people I was a tad disappointed. There are moments of fun and greatness, as simplistic as it is, once you hear "Hollaback Girl" the song is stuck in your consciousness for days, but I'm still not sure if that's a good thing. What I love about this album is the music, it's fun and exciting and trippin' in that oh so cool fashion ghetto diva way that Gwen was courting at the time. But unlike the albums with No Doubt, the lyrics are somewhat childish. Gwen can kick it up as she proved in her band, but how am I supposed to be utterly taken in to a song like "Rich Girl" when I know without a doubt that umm Gwen you are a rich girl. Same with some of the songs that reflect a little too much on her Harajuku girl obsession. I'm starting to think she's one of those reverse racists... but then again none of this stops me from dusting off the album every now and again and throwing it on the stereo. Much like today, where I was swept into Gwen's little world of fashion, teen love and Japanese chicks. Plus even with "Hollaback" firmly entrenched in my mind now, so is "Bubble Pop Electric" and damned if I didn't wish I was a rich girl.

Customer Reviews:
American X is the kind of song that this band is all about. .......2007-08-01
After changing their sound from Garage Rock to nearly Folk Rock, BRMC is back with a killer sound. I think fans will welcome back this sound. The band will gather more followers with a more polished album then "Take Them On, On Your Own" and their self-titled release "B.R.M.C.". Despite the return to form on "Baby 81," the album still manages to maintain the material explored in "Howl."
The band doesn't completely abandon that acoustic southern blues rock style heard on their third album. They simply combined everything that they have learned over their past 3 studio albums and smashed it all into this release--- in turn creating an awesome rock album with a one killer song after another. Once you near the end of the album, one track will stand out with 9 minutes of rock. Baby 81 is a 12 inning baseball game with American X being the closer.
"Suicide," she said. "What happened to the revolution?".......2007-07-14
This record is excellent from the first track to the last. So good I almost cried with joy after the first play-through.
Highly disappointing.........2007-07-06
I had big expectations for this album; I love their style and 'Howl' even grew on me more and more as time went on, to where I think it might be their best work.
This album starts out strong: "Took Out A Loan" and "Berlin" (though you have to leave out the iffy lyrics, both songs have great grooves, like some of their best), "Weapon Of Choice" is where things start to go south. The song is a total return to form for the band, and is short and tight, but the chorus just sounds forced to my brain, even though it makes me want to pump my fist.
The Beatles-y "Window" I like, but it sorta derails the album. It's solidly written, but it's the first of bassist/singer Robert Been's contributions to the record that I just don't much dig, because it doesnt' seem to fit. Back to guitarist/singer Peter Hayes' great angsty track "Cold Wind", which fares much better, and encapsulates everything I like about the band. Then comes the string of songs that I inevitably have to skip--"All You Do Is Talk", "Lien On Your Dreams"; really sub-par stuff for a band like this. It gets better; "Need Some Air" and especially "Killing The Light" (the album's best track) bring the album back before the slightly dull "American X", which seems to strive for the vibe of the 'BRMC' album but falls short. It all ends with the slightly anti-climactic "Am I Only"--with it's endlessly repeating 2 chord structure, it's neither really good or bad, it's just there.
Believe me, I don't like to criticize a band I respect as highly as these guys. I just feel they can do better than 60% of this material. I'd hate to see them turn into the kind of band they railed against in "Whatever Happened To My Rock n' Roll?"
Superlative Rock and Roll Album...........2007-06-30
I got into B.R.M.C. quite by accident, but what has drawn me to this band is the fact that smart, solid, unpretentious rock and roll is so hard to come by these days.
It seems far too many popular bands today toil either in the poppy and superficial, or the absurdly inaccessible and needlessly complex.
Given that dichotomy, Black Rebel drives it right down the middle of the fairway (an analogy the band would probably hate). "Baby 81" is smart enough to have meaning, but accessible enough to get heads moving and fists pumping.
For those about to rock, enjoy tracks like "Took Out A Loan", "Berlin", and "Lien On Your Dreams." Although slower tempo tracks like "All You Do Is Talk" and "Killing the Light" are also worth a listen.
The highlight tracks, however, are the first single ("Weapon of Choice") and, for many, the anthem of the album ("American X"). Both are simply brilliant: the former a concise and energetic three minutes and the latter a thundering nine-minute condemnation of the contemporary American mindset. Both act as musical genius and incisive social commentary, at the same time.
Content to share the role of frontman, both Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been get the job done. Either could carry the show, but the alternating leadership with each song makes for an interesting texture to the album.
As with the rest of their catalog (four albums to date), this is highly, highly recommended.
B.R.M.C. is back in form - in fact, the best yet!.......2007-06-21
I was a big fan of BRMC's 1st cd, found the 2nd a little less exciting & "Howl" was just lost on me. When I heard this latest cd , I instantly loved it. In fact, I would say that I am enjoying it as much (if not more than) their 1st album. It seems as though they've perfected a laid-back, narcotized blues-based rock guitar sound. Their lyrics straddle a balance between melancholic disillusionment & individualistic defiance. Better still is the fact that the hooks are more infectious, but not at the expense of the unique sound that sets them apart from their contemporaries - the songs are catchy, but in no way do they sound like they've " sold out " to pop sensibilities. Comparisons to Jesus & Mary Chain are still fair, one song even sounds as if it could be a nod to the late Elliot Smith. Overall, the affect is hypnotic, driving & manages to scratch a certain rock n' roll itch that no other band seems able to reach. It's rock played loose, but solid... & for a basic "power trio" it's an amazingly "big" sound.

"I'm ready / Ready for what's next," Bono announces at the outset of Achtung Baby, the album that proved the so-called "band of the '80s" was capable of blazing into the '90s by replacing its flag-waving arena-rock stance with screaming synths, clubby rhythms, and industrial skronk. The group advances its sound without losing accessibility on "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses," "Even Better Than the Real Thing," and "Mysterious Ways," while pushing the envelope a bit more on "The Fly," "Zoo Station," and "Acrobat." The moody ballad "One" is arguably the finest song the band has produced, full of sorrow, compassion, and hope all at the same time. --Daniel Durchholz

Achtung, Baby is U2's christening voyage into the postmodern, a brave venture into unknown territory and a brilliant musical transformation for the band. The album is packed with just as much passion as previous albums, but the lyrics are much more emotionally poetic and far less political. Musically, the tracks are a metropolis of intoxicating dance beats and lush guitar riffs. "The Fly" opens with guitarist The Edge's trademark reverberations cutting through the opening verse like a speedboat slicing through choppy water; on "Mysterious Ways," Bono's one-man gospel choir belts out the praises of an adored woman. --Beth Bessmer

Transition Complete.......2007-08-02
This CD was hard to hear after the shifts U2 made away from their Joshua Tree era. It was, nonetheless, an amazing piece of work showing vast maturity in their musical style and progression into a new age of U2.

This is a phenomenal album from U2. The only question is what songs are not awesome. The answer is that the following are the only songs that are merely respectable: Acrobat and Love, which are the last 2 songs. Every other song is great.
THE ACHTUNG BABY ALBUM SHOWS THE VERSATILITY AND FLEXIBILITY IN U2 BY EXPERIMENTING AND CHANGING THEIR TRADEMARK SOUND FORMULA. .......2007-05-01
Before I begin my review, I would like to wish my mother a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I miss you so much mom and I will always love you. May God bless you always and protect you. Love your son always, John L.
I will be writing a review on the legendary masterpiece album entitled "ACHTUNG BABY" by one of Rock's all-time greatest bands ever. I give you one of the many great pride's of Ireland and one of Dublin's favorite sons, U-2! "ACHTUNG BABY" was originally released in 1991 on Vinyl/LP, Cassette and Compact Disc on the Island Records, Inc. label. As always, if I hear any new additional information concerning this legendary masterpiece album or the legendary artist, I will edit this review immediately so that you the consumer will get the overall best informative and most accurate review possible.
U2 will forever leave their mark and place in Rock n' Roll history and be remembered for writing and recording some of Rock's most sacred classic anthems ever. In a way, in my opinion, Bono reminds me alot of the late great John Lennon. Like Lennon, Bono is also very active in the Political world and not only voices his opinions and concerns in your face verbally, but he'll write a beautiful Rock anthem concerning the Political topic which would also contain some of the most powerful lyrics that you have ever heard. In 1990, at this point in U2'S career, the band was enjoying the fruits and rewards that the good life had to offer as a result of their new additional recognition, fame and fortune that the band would soon have to adjust getting used and be accustomed to. This newfound additional fame and fortune added to their already fame and fortune status was made more possible due to the extreme successes of both "THE JOSHUA TREE," released in 1987 and the most recent 1988 soundtrack album release from the movie containing the same name as the title song, "RATTLE AND HUM." "RATTLE AND HUM" highlights live performances from U2'S legendary and successful 1987-88 Joshua Tree tour as well as additional songs recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. One of the films many great highlights is that U2 would work and jam with one of their most favorite Blues idol's ever, Mr. B.B. King. U2 would also dedicate one of their songs from the "RATTLE AND HUM" album, "Angel Of Harlem" to one of the all-time greatest female Blues icons ever, the late great Blues legend herself, Ms. Billie Holiday. At this point in a day in the life of U2 which would comprise of U2 lead vocalist and frontman Paul Hewson A.K.A. Bono, rhythm and lead guitarist David Howell Evans A.K.A The Edge, drummer Larry Mullen, Jr. and bassist Adam Clayton, everything was perfect and positive in the band's Rock n' Roll world. This positive feeling would inspire the band in heading back into the recording studio and record the new anticipated follow-up album to both, the extremely successful "THE JOSHUA TREE" album from 1987 and the 1988 movie and album release "RATTLE AND HUM." U2 would commit themselves in the recording studio faithfully and endlessly for the next few months. These positive feelings would also prove in rubbing off on the band's songwriting abilities as well as on the music itself thus resulting in giving the new follow-up album a new sound direction and trademark formula not heard before. Which brings me to the legendary album I'm about to review for you today. After a certain amount of time flew by, U2 would emerge and come out of the recording studio with the fully completed acetate and would soon after hand deliver the finished product to their Record label and employer, Island Records, Inc. Island Records, Inc. would soon release this finished product as the legendary masterpiece "ACHTUNG BABY," album in 1991. The legendary "ACHTUNG BABY" album is without a doubt, a great follow-up album that compliments both "THE JOSHUA TREE" album released in 1987 and the 1988 "RATTLE AND HUM" movie and movie soundtrack perfectly. The legendary "ACHTUNG BABY" album also stands as one of U2'S as well as Rock n' Roll's many all-time greatest album accomplishments and achievements ever and in the band's career. In my opinion, the legendary masterpiece "ACHTUNG BABY" album is without a doubt, a true testament of the sheer fully crafted genius and musical creativity of four extremely talented individuals. The "ACHTUNG BABY" album is also a fine fitting tribute to a great legendary band that was truly indeed, far ahead of their time.
It is now time to let the Rock n' Roll music of U2 to speak for itself and back it up by doing all of the talking musically. The legendary masterpiece "ACHTUNG BABY" album begins with the incredible non-stop bass pounding synthesized Rocker "ZOO Station," the blistering synthesized Rocker "Even Better Than The Real Thing," the forever U2 trademark anthem that would move on throughout Rock n' roll history as being one of the most powerfully and beautifully written songs ever, "One," the merciless energetic Rocker "Until The End Of The World," the slow soothing mild Rocker "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses," the slow and mellow yet powerful Rocker "So Cruel," the firey groundbreaking Rocker "The Fly," the rugged non-stop bass thumping Rocker "Mysterious Ways," the beautifully slow and smooth distorted Rocker "Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World," the unbelievable uplifting Rocker "Ultra Violet (Light My Way," the breathtaking heartfelt Rocker "Acrobat" and the beautifully slow and well sung synthesized mild Rocker "Love Is Blindness." May I also add that all four bandmembers harmonized beautifully together (Instrumental and lead vocal wise) perfectly to their fullest potential and to the best of their God-given abilities and talents would allow them to record and perform as entertainers.
Overall, this is one great legendary album worth checking out and seeking further research and information into especially if you are a hardcore diehard U2 fan or a devout music collector. As for all of the curious newcomers and new beginners that are not quite familiar with the Rock n' Roll music and sound of U2, I would suggest researching further into one of the many U2 greatest hits compilation albums before you purchase the U2 album(s) that is right for your musical needs and tastes. If you decide that you really love the music of U2 and you want more of their music, then it is in your best interests to purchase as many U2 album(s) that you way want. Either way you choose, you will have taken a giant step in owning and starting your very own personal U2 music collection. You can do all of your researching and album(s) purchases either on Amazon com or at your nearest local Borders Books and Music store. If you ever get a chance, Buy this album. You'll be glad and satisfied that you did.
I would like to highly recommend purchasing this legendary masterpiece album to own as a valuable and important part of his or her own personal music collection. This legendary treasure album has already proven to stand the test of time and will always be around to be enjoyed, appreciated and cherished for many years to come, NOW AND FOREVER. This is one great priceless gem that no hardcore music fan or devout music collector would want to be without.
In closing, the legendary "ACHTUNG BABY" album by U2 would be released to the whole world in 1991 to highly critically acclaim. Soon after, U2 would also embark on a new World Tour to promote the new album release in what would soon prove to be one of the band's all-time greatest tours ever to date. Following their extremely successful tour, U2 would continue to grow musically as a band and move forward and record many more great legendary albums that were still yet to come in the years ahead. But that, my fellow readers and reviewers, you will just have to stay tuned to your computers and read further more about it at a later date in the near future. U2 has forever reserved their place and left their mark in Rock n' Roll history. Because of the band's many contributions, accomplishments and achievements throughout their career in Rock n' Roll history, U2 will live on forever and will never be forgotten. So here's to you Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam. Thanks for the great memories with many more still to come. Keep Persevering. Keep The Faith. And as the saying goes, "AND THE REST IS ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY," need I say more? Thanks for reading my review and I truly hope that you have enjoyed reading it as much as I have truly enjoyed writing it for your reading pleasure. I also deeply hope that all of you will read all of my other reviews in the near future when time permits. U2 FOREVER! Long Live Rock n' Roll. Rock out always and take it easy. Forever In Rock, John L.
U2 is awesome!.......2007-04-15
How can you beat U2. Just the fact that they have stuck together with all original band members for all these years is truly amazing. U2's music is really awesome, and this is one of their best albums.
The Best of the Best!.......2007-04-10
Achtung Baby is the best album, by a band who makes great albums. I guess I am showing my age by calling them albums, but I don't care!
This album is great from start to finish, and of any artist, not just U2, that is a hard thing to find. If you can think of your favorite artist of all time, and if you can think of artists whom many consider to be the greats, I challenge you to show me more than 5 albums where the songs are absolutely great from start to finish. This is one of those albums. Inspiring, fun, exciting, and all around great music is what you will get from this purchase. It would be hard to find something better!

No one will be able to say for sure whether Lullaby Renditions of the Beatles will successfully "glide your little one across the universe, through an octopus's garden, and send them into a slumberland of strawberry fields," as it says it will on the back on the disc, but one thing it won't do is bonk you over the head with the sub-par production you might expect from a novelty disc. The latest CD in the series that has provided hipster parents with wordless, infant-friendly versions of Led Zeppelin, U2, Metallica, and many others takes a turn for the unapologetically melodic here, having its way with classics from "Here Comes the Sun" to "Hey Jude." The result is, as ever, powder-puffy yet inarguably palatable, whether you're the one swaddled in the crib or the one staring down into it waiting for the sandman to arrive. "Michelle" was a dozy song to begin with; here it's a doorway to a peaceful drift-off that, with any luck, will last long enough get the laundry done. --Tammy La Gorce
Album Description
Golden slumbers await your little pride and joy at the end of lullaby road. The Beatles are the most famous songwriters of the twentieth century. Their songs are known by people of all ages here, there, and everywhere. The dreamy quality of their later work provides the blueprint for these beautiful lullaby interpretations. It will glide your little one out across the universe, through an octopus's garden, and lay them down in a slumberland of strawberry fields.

elevator music.......2007-07-30
We have the Radiohead and U2 versions of the Rockaby Baby CDs and love them. Instantly puts our toddler to sleep. This one, however, not only fails to put him to sleep but it also sounds like mediocre elevator music. Probably not the composer's fault. The Beatles have been so over-covered, anything but the original songs sound tacky.
Great for babies and their parents!.......2007-06-11
Not only does my baby fall asleep to great lullaby renditions of the Beatles but so do my husband and I, listening through the monitor. It's much better than other childrens' lullabies out there!

good choice out of a vast selection...........2007-05-16
My son enjoys this cd. The good people behind Rockabye Baby! selected great tracks to make into lullabies. Given that there are WAY too many Beatles songs out there to cover, I appreciate this CD.
The real thing would have been better.......2007-05-09
I bought two of these Rockabye CDs - the other being Bob Marley. CD isn't bad but, the real songs from the Beatles would have been better. I wish someone would produce a Lullaby CD with actual songs by real artists.

I've boughts lots of so-so to terrible CDs for my baby. So, this one was a nice surprise. My daughter (10 month old) loves the music and so do my husband and I. Some of the songs aren't done in the traditional way, but that keeps it fresh.
Mommy, Daddy, & Daughter Love this CD.......2007-07-16
Our two-year old dances to the music and is learning the words to these songs. The voices and music are adorable, and the songs really come to life. The arrangements are catchy. I find myself, my husband, and my daughter singing or humming the songs all the time.
Fabulous.......2007-05-25
Great Music for Children. All the favorite songs we all remember and can sing along. Songs are done well. Children (and adults) all love this tape!
Great collection of favorites, sing along!.......2007-05-21
I love this album because it's chock full of childhood favorites and I can sing along and be silly with my 6-month old. I can't wait until she can sing along too!
Best children's CD.......2007-05-13
All the songs are sung with an original twist. My ten month old daughter loves listening to this in the car (which means I don't have to sing Itsy, Bitsy Spider 50 times in a row) and it helped me learn lots of different songs quickly. I would buy this CD as a present for all my friends with young kids.

It's a funny thing with Rockabye Baby's Lullaby Renditions of Metallica--the disc is both all about the music and it's not. Consider it: on the one hand, here is a righteous, fully recognizable assortment of vintage Metallica tunes, including "Master of Puppets," "Enter Sandman," and "Nothing Else Matters." On the other, what's to stop a suburban massage parlor from passing it off as another generic, therapeutically new-age soundtrack to release tension by? Not a lot. The point being that this is a strangely versatile disc, but one no Metallica-loving new parent should be without. Starting, appropriately enough, at "One," producer and performer Michael Armstrong reduces Kirk Hammett's once rib-crushing riffs to xylophone and toy piano; "Fade to Black" becomes powder-puff pink, "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth" becomes more like "(Band-Aid) Kissing a Boo-Boo." Somewhat miraculously, what once was suitable listening for leather-wearers only becomes music to fasten Pampers by. Enjoyably. Upping the gift-appeal factor is Metallica's inarguably cool liner notes: scissors, string, tape, and a hole punch turns them into a heavy-metal mobile to hang over baby's bed. --Tammy La Gorce
Album Description
Rockabye Baby! transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies. The soothing sounds of the glockenspiel, vibraphone, melltoron and other instruments will lull your baby into a sweet slumber.
On this album, they'll enjoy
Metallica's biggest anthems without the pesky earplugs you didn't bother to wear growing up. We've turned down the volume from an eleven to a two, and made the bed ourselves. Say your prayers little one. Tonight the sandman will be gently rocking you to sleep with these essential masterpieces of rock `n' roll.

We love this disc!.......2007-04-29
My husband got this CD for our 6 month old son, and I can say that it is a CD the entire family enjoys. It has helped on many nights to get baby to bed...and I can't wait to get more CD's from this series.
Wont be the last Rockabye Baby CD I buy..........2007-04-10
Not sure if my son cares that this isnt twinkle twinkle little star, but I know I sure do. We have the crib in our room for a while and keep this CD going through the night. Highly recommend this for those of you who like something different. Looking at Nirvana or Nine Inch Nails next. Awesome!
A Must Have For Any Metallica Fan.......2007-01-09
If you have kids or not, this Lullaby CD is cool. Many of Metallica's great hits are put into lullaby form, which sounds truely amazing. I bought this even though I don't have kids yet, because knowing my luck, the CD probably would not have been in production any longer by the time I had kids. Plus, I play it when I go to bed, it is very relaxing. Let's just say Sandman comes faster when this CD is played.
Interesting twist on my old favorites.......2007-01-05
My husband and I both enjoyed listening to Metallica in our younger years, so we bought this for our almost four year old son (who loves music). He listens to it as he's falling asleep nearly every night. He's very into being a "big boy" these days, so he likes that he's not listening to "baby" songs anymore. And, we enjoy listening to the songs as well. It's a nice change from the traditional lullaby.
Metallica..........2007-01-05
...doesn't get any better than this!!! I'm 50-years old and don't mind a few Metallica songs anyway - but this is so much sweeter. Gave as a baby gift and it was liked by the parents. Unique gift...
