Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars good basic imageries for beginners.......2001-05-28

The first two guideds are good basic healing meditations. The first deals with balancing the chakras using color, sound, fragrance and tone(26 min). (I actually liked her other CD "Rainbow Path" much better for this. Although, "Rainbow Path" does not have the guided meditations, the entire CD is music to balance the chakras, and the inside cover, gives an instuctional meditation for each segment.)

The second, is good for creating distance from problems and "burdens" we carry.(13 min)

The third, is done to notice in our bodies, how we resonate to certain musical rhythms and scales. Kay anounces in this piece what we are listening to, ie, minor 7th, major 5th, etc for the purpose of seeing that which we resonate to the most.

The last piece for me was distracting as far as a guided meditation goes. It was more instuctional , announcing the modes, ie, dorian, ionian etc. But she does reserve an ending segment with just music and no voice.(29 min) Had it not been for this last piece, I would have rated this higher.

5 out of 5 stars A+ for a guided meditation recording.......2001-05-26

In my search for a good night's sleep, I found this cassette. I have listened to many in this genre, and this is my favorite. The maker of this cassette is not only interested in music as relaxation, but also in music theory and healing. I enjoyed the guided visualization, and the long spaces between spoken words, where the music allows you to fully process all your thoughts. And her voice is pleasant, I can't tell you the number of meditation tapes narrated by folks with voices akin to biting tinfoil.
