About the Artist
"Music is a passion for me, a reflection of the many emotions of living in today's world," says David Cellars, pianist, guitarist, and composer. The St. Louis native makes his home in the Midwest of the United States. Cellars has written commercial jingles and backed up other artists on CD projects. He has been performing, composing, and teaching for more than ten years and felt it was time to step beyond that and record his own compositions. Referring to his debut CD he says, "I wanted to record a Piano Solo album because I love how I can make the piano sound at times like a soloist, then a quartet, and even an orchestra. It's such a rich sounding instrument with a full palette to paint music." Cellars draws influences from his music mentors John Elliott, Herb Drury, and Thomas B. Dole and his love of Classical and Jazz music. Cellars is currently playing around the Kansas City Area and frequently travels to St. Louis, Chicago, New York and Brazil.

All the songs have a piano tone that sings and soars, sometimes intermixed with big, colorful chords. The CD ends with a beautiful lullaby entitled "Lullaby to Remember You." Because it would be un-Prince-like to release a new studio album without kicking up a little controversy first, the Artist Formerly Known As a Cool-Looking Symbol gave away copies of Planet Earth with a British news tabloid weeks before its U.S. release. Among the reasons he shouldn't have: nobody who catches wind of the peerless funk-rock-soul he lays out on these 10 tracks--least of all longtime fans--would think twice about shelling out for it. A big chunk of the appeal is that Prince finds his way back to his guitar here. The title track, a politically right-on-time environmental rant, steers him back toward "Purple Rain" territory, as does "Lion of Judah" ("Guitar," oddly, doesn't--it's more of a straight-up, shout-it-out modern rocker). And the flirty numbers are seriously flammable: "Somewhere Here on Earth" seduces with a crackly jazz vibe, while "Mr. Goodnight" gets friendly with a refined slip of rap. Coolest of all are two tracks at cross purposes-- "Chelsea Rodgers" fuses funk with disco until it's so far off the hook it's in a heap on the floor, and "All the Midnights in the World" paints a picture of artistic maturity through piano and lyrics that lean hard on positivity. This is classic Prince. The music, guitar, and vocals are very much the 1970s/1980s Prince. I love Somewhere Here on Earth. Good job Prince.

Prince is back!.......2007-08-05

Prince returns with his latest album "Planet Earth." Wow is this album amazing or what? I've been a Prince fan since the hit "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World." I love that song! I also heard his 80's music and fell in love with it as well. When I found out Prince was releasing new material, I wondered if it would be as good as his older stuff. Well I was right, it was as good as his older stuff and then some! The lead single "Guitar" is classic Prince. Iti's original and unique just like him. I'm a fan of various music styles and I was pleasently surprised with Prince's latest release. itunes classified it as R&B but I think it's a combination of styles. I didn't get "3121" or "Musicology" (the title track rocks!) but now I want to after hearing "Planet Earth." Definately the most original work of 2007 so far. I highily reccomend you buying this if you love Prince. You won't be dissapoined at all!

The first time I listened, there were only a couple of cuts I wanted to hear again. But, after listening a couple more times, I can't seem to get enough of the whole album... it's catchy, funky, addicting, it makes me happy! :) Prince is the best, there's just no way to ignore this man's music. He's pure genious!

Prince returns with another strong conglomeration of R & B funk and soul, coupled with some straight out rocking jams that only the Minneapolis native can compose.

Though some may feel that he has lost some of his genius, especially since his conversion to the Jehovah Witness faith, I find the tracks on this album to rank with some of his best of the 70's and 80's.

The best include the thought-provoking title cut, the playful "Guitar," the Smokey Robinson-sounding "Somewhere Here on Earth," the enigmatic "Future Baby Mama," the sexually-suggestive "Mr. Goodnight," and "Chelsea Rodgers," a really hard-hitting dance cut that pulls no punches.

The disc should lose a star for not including the lyrics, somewhat necessary to analyze the words without the music.

But, I can't do that to "THE PURPLE ONE!"

I'm a die hard Prince fan, and as such, I must say that Planet Earth sucks. I was hoping that 3121 was a one-time disappointment...but i was wrong. I wish I could get my money back. Sad to say, but I think the Prince who gave us classics like "Let's Go Crazy", "Adore", "Purple Rain", "Kiss", etc etc etc (the list goes on and on)...is dead.

Fourteen years, a live CD/DVD, some solo albums, and one tragic suicide after Crowded House's last release comes this highly anticipated reunion. Singer/songwriter Neil Finn and bassist Nick Seymour reunited after the 2005 death of drummer Paul Hester, brought in a new member and two producers (Ethan Johns and Steve Lillywhite) to replace longtime cohort Mitchell Froom, and the impressive result is a logical and overdue addition to the band's previous four albums. Finn's knack for a melodic ballad remains firmly in place as Time on Earth coasts on his dreamy voice and introspective, hook-laden pop choruses. However, this is a more reflective collection that requires a few spins to fully reveal its charms. Finn co-writes "Even a Child" with Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, and that and the frisky "She Called Up" are the most buoyant tracks on this predominantly pensive disc. Finn has generally shaded towards a darker edge and this hour-long set might have benefited from more of the lighter touch he applies to "Transit Lounge," a song enhanced by Beth Rowley's lovely and startling wordless vocals along with jazzy electric piano and even airport sound effects. Strings, sitar, and intricate production add subtle elements that bolster the timeless musical qualities Finn has always reveled in. The ominous, even brooding "Silent House," a co-write with all three Dixie Chicks, is another highlight that sounds like nothing either has done before as it floats along on fuzz guitar and hurdy-gurdy, both courtesy of Johns. Trimming some weaker cuts would have made this a more focused listen, but Time on Earth is a worthy successor to Crowded House's existing catalog--a high compliment indeed. --Hal Horowitz

Great Album.......2007-08-06

It took me a listen or two to get into this CD, but once I did, it didn't leave my CD player! This is a beautiful, glimmering, haunting record. Crowded House's usual antics are greatly tempered and informed by Paul Hester's death, and for this reason, I know I'll be listening to this one for a long long time.

We missed you guys. This album is great. A bit sad perhaps and yes, we miss Paul too. Crowded House and Finn fans won't want to miss this great collection of songs.

This album is awesome. but many fans of Crowded House might be dissapointed if they expect to hear the 80's or 90's CH. Every band has to grow musically and CH is no exception. After two solo albums, another Finn Bros. album, and losing the irreplacible Paul Hester, I can understand why man fans were skeptical, if not angry that this reunion happened. but I am very glad that Neil got back with Nick, Mark and the new edition of Matt Sherod (Beck's Drummer), to release a great album full of depth and emotion.

to cite a few songs, "Nobody wants to" is a great start right out the gate. beautiful melody. the 1st single "dont stop now" is a faster paced song that instantly draws you in. it has a feel of the older Crowded House we know and love as does the next song "she called up".

the album gets dark and slower (for the most part), at this point which isnt a bad thing. its just not the happy, poppy CH we're used to. I draw comparison to the song "Edible Flowers" from the Finn brother's "everyone is here" album a few years back.

theres' even some experimentation in "transit lounge". a song that sounds more like a Neil Finn solo project song. (maybe it was before the album officially became a CH album).

all in all, like the many reviews before me the album isnt as easily accesible as its predecesors.its slower, sadder and it doesnt get stuck in your head as easily as "dont dream its over" but its good that way.
Neil has a wisdom that I can only imagine comes with age. he's nearing 50 but the songwriting is like wine; it only gets better.

Ive heard rumours that another CH album is already in the works for '08-
09. I cant wait already!

I am glad that in a world of mediocrity and record-company pushed crap this band came back against the odds to give us music with A MEANING....

Great CD.......2007-05-25

If you're an EWF devotee, you have to purchase this CD. It is fabulous! I'm buying a second one for my husband for father's day.

I'm gonna complain a bit here - the live Devotion (off Gratitude, killer studio version made furtherly killer live) and Keep Your Head to the Sky are still missing. Why? Is this one of those stupid cross-label things? Because those are really annoying. And this contains Boogie Wonderland, most likely their worst hit, either that or Let's Groove. Both are disco. Not a coincidence. And they drop All About Love, as well as I'll Write a Song for You. Give me a break! Four of their greatest songs, dropped off a cliff. Splat. Why? Saturday Night's an OK song, but I don't see it as the Best of Earth Wind and Fire. But if you swap those three off, put the four I mentioned on, and keep the rest, you've got the real best of Earth, Wind and Fire. Unlike the 1978 Greatest Hits release, this DOES contain Mighty Mighty, Kalimba Story AND Serpentine Fire, three essentials. Plus it adds After the Love is Gone, a worthy addition to any self-respecting EWF hits collection (or at least any one released after 1978), and their greatest song ever maybe. I'd bet on it. Plus nine of the ten tracks on the '78 release, not coincidentially the nine classics (Got to Get You Into My Life, Fantasy, Can't Hide Love, Getaway, That's the Way of the World, Shining Star, September, Reasons, Sing a Song) - note how they dropped Love Music, which is cool by me because it's just an average song and average songs don't belong on best-ofs, even if they were huge hits (*cough cough Saturday Nite*).
Yes, this is a great intro, but don't stop here. Why? All in All, Spirit, Gratitude, That's the Way of the World and Open Our Eyes are all good picks, that's why. But this is the compilation the band deserved.

That Boogie Woogie Beat!.......2007-03-14

This album is soooo hot! Makes you wanna just jump up on a table and start dancing. (I tried it at work, but they yelled at me!). I am LOUSY at remembering song names, but I recognized a bunch of them. "September" is so hot! and one of my favorites. So is "Boogie Wonderland" (Dance, Ooo ooo oo, Dance, ooo ooo ooo!) (STOP ME! QUICK!) Like I said, most of the album is hot dance-to-me music. There are a few slow songs, like "After the Love Has Gone". 17 tracks at a total running time of a hair over 1 hour 7 minutes.

Don't put this on in the car and get behind a school bus! Torture!

Greatest Hits.......2007-01-04

My sister is a very hard person to buy gifts at Christmas, but last September she mentioned she would like a CD by Earth Wind & Fire. She opened the CD on Christmas eve and insisted we listen to "September" for the next 15 minutes. She was very happy and so was I. I have to admit the CD is a good one and I am ordering a copy for myself.

Further proof that the 15-year-old male is the nexus of contemporary popular entertainment, this anthology of music from and "inspired by" the sequel to the earth-conquering Halo saga also showcases how capably the video game industry can trump even Hollywood's vaunted production values. Great game - great music.......2007-01-10

My son wanted this Cd. I had never sat long enough to listen to the music when he played Halo, so I didn't have a clue what I was buying. He let me listen to some of the tracks once it arrived and I had to "borrow" it from him so I could download the cd onto my pc. Needless to say I bought volume 2 and the original Halo soundtrack cd as well. They may belong to my son, but I love these cds too!

Hug your pillows girls.......2006-08-06

THe only reason I am writing anything about this album is because it contains the Odyssey by Incubus, and its probably some of their best work and will go down as their most unnoticed. While the rest of your nerds are huggin your pillows at night thinking about your video games and the "gnarly instrumentals" on this album you sit there and bash Incubus' work. The first track by them, Follow, is not all that great however it was re-released on an additional cd with their Alive at Red Rocks DVD and it sounds sooooooo much better on that cd (with some real lyrics) But after listening to the Odyssey I was really hoping this to be a new direction for Incubus, a more proggressive/conceptual sound. Whether this is the direction they go on with their new album is yet to be heard. Its a shame that this work will go unnoticed, and the only reason it will be that way because a bunch of losers decide to try and impress people with (what they think) is a sense of music just because its of a classical nature. Yes, the rest of the music on the album is amazing, and I give big ups to its composition, but come on people, show some love to good music when its presented to your faces.

best video game soundtrack ever........2006-08-03

i understand that many people are a bit angry with breaking benjamin and hoobastank being in here. i'm not particularly happy myself with the last track, but i think contemporary music is appropriate here, albeit lyrics may not be the greatest form of expressing the mysterious feeling behind everything. i think o'donnel and salvatori have what it takes to compose a score of music, but it's not a score, it's a soundtrack. i found that if you don't like them you can just skip them. the second to last track is a great way to end the soundtrack.

classical music listeners stop complaining.......2006-05-10

The worst part of this album was songs with lyrics (breaking benjamin, techno, hoobastank)...i dont understand then why people are upset with the incubus - follow has one word the whole song (two if you count "yeah") and their instrumental songs are brilliant, floyd-esque at times. for those of you reading others criticizing this album, ignore them, ignore the three bad songs on this album, and purchase it and enjoy it.

Essential.......2007-06-15

Earth, Wind and Fire simply made some of the best music in the world. It's a joy to hear their pieces reinterpreted by other artists.

Chaka Khan yanks "Shining Star" off the chain.

But it's Me'shell Ndegeocello's take on "Fantasy" that makes the album worth the price of admission. By going further afield than any other artist on the album, Ndegeocello brilliantly twists "Fantasy" into something much darker and dangerous -- and compelling -- than perhaps was ever intended by the original E,W & F crew.

Anybody who loves R&B, this is an essential one to own.

Shining Star.......2007-05-22

I wasn't sure what to expect. Sometimes when artists cover other gifted artists, the results can be disappointing. Whoever the cover artists singing Earth Wind & Fire, you know they have big shoes to fill. I read the names of the artists covering EW&F and decided to give it a chance: Chaka Khan, Ledisi, Musiq, Lalah Hathaway. Overall, the artists gave faithful renderings of each song. Kirk Franklin kept it funky on "September," and Musiq was impressive hitting those high notes on "Reasons." But most artists played it safe. Except for Meshell Ndegeocello whose re-interpretation of "Fantasy" sounded more outer space than any thing I've ever heard on Earth Wind & Fire. This album is worth the investment. When I really love an artist and an album, I share it with friends. I've already passed it on to at least four friends.

I think that this CD should have more artists included to do more of EWF's songs. Overall it's just alright. Don't get me wrong, there are some songs that are great such as Angie Stone's Be Ever Wonderful (why was it cut so short?), Kirk Franklin (one of the best cuts on the CD), Bilal (a great twist to Can't Hide Love), Lalah Hathaway (very good), Dwele (nice mid-tempo spin from the original That's The Way Of the World), Mint Condition's After The Love Is Gone (good, but I like Norman Brown's jazz version better) and Musiq's Reasons (he is not a Phillip Bailey but it's a good rendition). The other artists I did not mention somewhat spoiled it. I did not like Chaka Khan's Shining Star as I thought she was trying too hard and the very last cut Fantasy as that to me was just plain awful. Devotion was ok but not nothing to brag about. I applaud everyone's effort but if you are a big EWF fan it's worth to collect...but after a few times of playing the CD, it will collect dust after a while.

mistake.......2007-05-14

I made a mistake in buying this CD. There is no doubt that all performing artists did the best they could, but i can't help but comparing every song to the orginal songs and they still stand out. Furthermore i find it hard to regonize actual interpretations, but find carbon copy's of the original songs, except for the last song; fantasy, but I can hardly imagine anyone preferring this (mis)interpretation over the orginal.

A disappointed EWF fan.

A Personal Favorite---BUT..........2007-05-05

...THIS SEMI IS COPY PROTECTED. To get around the copy protection don't install the utility program. It won't play in Media Player, but you can use other programs to do everything. This is very similar to Nightwish's Century Child. The band weaves numerous classical chord structures throughout the disc. The band is very talented and they really do push the limits here. The selections range from Ice Queen to In Perfect Harmony which almost sounds like Kenny Loggins' Return To Pooh Corner. Personally, I don't care for the last 2 bonus cuts, but otherwise this is a very compelling release.

Not WT's best by any means, but at least this album has personality unlike "The Silent Force". Theres a few good songs such as "Our Farewell", "Ice Queen", "Mother Earth" and "Caged". But the rest of the CD does not follow. "Perfect Harmony" sounds like a pre-school, sing-along song, and "Never-Ending Story" sounds like a folk song gone horribly wrong. All in all, the album isn't terrible...but it isnt the best.

This is an excellent album. If you are a fan of "metal only" this is probably not for you. It is fully orchistrated and highly theatrical. The musical quality is fabulous. This is a theme album that will strongly appeal to affectations other than Christian. It's hard to put this group into a catagory. Theatrical Goth Metal is the closest I can come to a description. I personally love this CD and feel it is a very strong addition to my collection of Heavy Metal that I've been buying since 1964.

Remarkable Discovery.......2007-01-04

My wife has been after me to buy this for what must be two years now, since she heard the title track on the Matt Drudge Show. I bought it as a slightly late birthday present, and she has listened to it at least three times. Wonderful stuff.

what is this junk?.......2006-11-10

I'll give you the bottom line up front. Sharon den Adel, the lead vocalist, while very talented is not not suited for this type of work. She is blatantly flat or sharp at varying aspects of Within Temptation's songs including "Mother Earth." They do not even have very catchy riffs. Don't buy their album. If you like metal buy metal. If you like emo...kill yourself. If you want to be rocked, either make your own music or find something that does not suck on the surface as well as below it.

If you are looking for peaceful, beautiful music this is for you. It is a delightful mix of some of opera's most memorable moments. Long time opera fans will be familiar with most of the arias and newcomers to opera will recognize music that has become identified with movies and commercials.

If you love wonderful operatic moments then this cd is a great buy for all of the wonderful and spectacular music on it. You get two cds for the price of one great opera cd, and all of the talented singers that were taken and put on these tracks do definate justice to all of the composers listed. A great cd to add to your collection especially if you are an aspiring singer or a student in music. Absolutely Fantastic!

former reviews are no exaggeration, this is the most beautiful music I have come across. I have many opera CDs but this is one I never tire of.
I listen to the CD everyday and it is always soothing, uplifting and inspiring. I wish I could find another as wonderful.

I have orderd plenty of classical CD's and DVD's on this webside.
Most were phantastish but this one is the best.
I listen so often to this CD that it should have grooves.
I never get tired of it.
I recommend this CD highly.

This compilation of Opera's finest moments is positively wonderful!!!!Unquestionably the best buy I have made in Opera Music..No kidding,I have trays full of CDs covering every facet of Opera,but none as beautiful...A full 2 1/2 hours of the best of the best....Heavenly Moments says it ALL...I vote 6 stars!!!!!

With over 60 albums in a nearly 40-year career, you might be forgiven for thinking the artist's best work has already been written and recorded. And in many cases you'd be right. But not so with Deuter. At least not so with this new release, Koyasan.

The German multi-instrumentalist was born on the cusp of a new world, in a small German town in 1945. As a young man, Georg Deuter worked for a brief time as a journalist before a near-fatal car accident lead him on a quest of the spirit and a life devoted to music, a quest that took him to study for many years in India before setting up home and a recording studio in the US southwest.

Deuter is entirely self-taught, an admirable accomplishment when you consider the range of instruments he has mastered. He's most closely identified with the flute, but also plays keyboards, the tamboura (an Indian stringed instrument), cello, koto, and several others. Many of these are used to great effect on Koyasan, named after a sacred Buddhist mountain in central Japan, home to the Shingon sect of esoteric Buddhism and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Except for the title and the presence of instruments associated with Japan, such as the shakuhachi (a bamboo flute) and the koto (a stringed instrument), and more widely with Asia (in this case, the 2-stringed Chinese violin, the erhu), the music on this album is not terribly suggestive of Koyasan. The song titles are generic enough to fit nearly any new age theme you'd care to choose.

But the music . . . the music is sublime. The album features eight tracks, all but two 8 to 9 minute meditative excursions. There is no percussion, nor any noticeable rhythm, just languid journeys built on light and airy ambient washes, puffs of aural clouds through and around which circle the voices of the acoustic instruments. Unlike so many new age productions which work well in the background but can't withstand concentrated listening, Deuter's work, especially on this recording, will reward those who sit and listen attentively.

Lovely healing music..........2007-04-14

From the first time I listened to Koyasan: Reiki Sound Healing it resonated in me. You can't help but close your eyes and breathe deeply. Indeed, this music is so lovely and healing, it feels as if you can breathe it in like a balm for your soul.

Deuter does it again with his latest release. Koyasan: Reiki Sound Healing is an amazing album, dusted with just the right balance of space, stillness and instrumentation. Deuter paints a vivid scene in the listeners mind. Several clients have shared the images with me and commented on the cd. His orchestration is so well thought out and balanced. The rate, choice of instruments, composition all subtley relax and soothe the client (and practitioner) into a state of meditation. I highly recommend this cd for healing work and meditation.

LIGHT MUSIC FOR US.......2007-06-27

I enjoyed all the CD's I've received so far. I used this one a couple times giving Reiki to someone and it is very appropriate and the timing is almost exact, from the time a treatment starts to the finish. Only one person mentioned that the stops between tracks were a little long. She wanted continuous sound, but thought it fit in with her treatment.

was listening to my Soundscapes channel on Cable...one of the songs from this CD came on and it was so peaceful, had to buy the CD....is wonderful!!! play when having dinner parties or ladies getting together or just sitting to read a book or meditate....is so relaxing......everyone comments on how peaceful and calming the music is....would be great for the ride home from work in the car!

Their prospects dangerously over-inflated by pundits who often hailed their debut as nothing short of rock-messianic, New York City's Strokes got a lesson in cynical rock-press dynamics when their biz-troubled, if similarly toned, '03 follow-up was dutifully dismissed as the proverbial sophomore slump. A lesser band might have been chastened by the experience; this one responds with a third album that positively bristles with energetic challenges. Revolving around a loose concept that allows songwriter/frontman Julian Casablancas to adopt a viewpoint that's as detached as it is world-weary and bemused, it's a record that quickly trades the often precious production conceits of its forebears for a muscular confidence that's notable from the infectious, back-to-the-'80s opener "You Only Live Once" to its perfect bookend "Red Light."

That often inviting sonic remodeling may come in part from Bangles/Sublime/Sugar Ray producer David Kahne (who replaces previous collaborator Gordon Raphael on all but a handful of cuts), but the band clearly has expansiveness on its mind, from a running length nearly twice its predecessors to such stylistic excursions as the cinematic, back-to-the-future riffing of the single "Juicebox," the spare, electro-baroque moodiness of "Ask Me Anything," and the dense, surprising prog flirtations of "Electrocityscape." "On the Other Side" finds Casablancas convincingly casting himself as the anti-Bono while crooning "I hate them, I hate them all, I hate myself for hating them" before chiding humanity as "seven billion people who've got nothing to say" on the otherwise upbeat closer, "Red Light." Wrapping such cynicism in more populist musical trappings is no mean feat, and the sheer reach of the Strokes' ambitions here insure they occasionally fall short. But it's a consistently intriguing effort, one that seems calculated as much to challenge the faithful as expand the band's own considerable horizons. --Jerry McCulley

Disappointing......Don't start here........2007-07-29

Their first album was almost perfect. The second was worth getting for about half the tracks. The appeal of this one is mostly lost on me.

The second half is the best!.......2007-07-11

Yes I will have to agree with the minority of reviewers that say that the second half of the CD is the best one, if Julian and the boys were experimenting well I did work bacause I found myself listening to these songs more often, Ize of the World, 15 Minutes, Fear of Sleep and the rest of the second half are truly great songs and fit with my taste, this coming from someone that considers himself intelligent and with a great and eclectic musical taste ,OK I also like the first half specially track number 6 Vision of Division. I will also say that I own this CD since its release in early 2006.
I just dont understand the people that downgrades this album, if this would have sounded like the previous two they would have complaint that they just do more of the same , and now that they changed the direction a bit they want the sound of the other records...everyone grows , you do not think the same things you did 3 or 5 years ago , everyone changes a bit and I am happy to say that I like the new direction the Strokes went.

But it seems that this is one band that people (including myself) really like the original sound of. On "Is This It?" and "Room On Fire" they had such a new sound that nobody had ever heard yet. However, they have since traded in their patented sound for a slower, more slurred sound. Because of this change in sound, this album flopped.

Although, it isn't a total let down. "On The Other Side" is a really cool song. I also really like "Heart In A Cage." It seems, if anything, the album progressively gets slower and more boring as it drags on. But the first few tracks are good. (For a perfect example of a sleeper track, listen to "Fear Of Sleep")

Overall, I'd still buy it, as I'm a big strokes fan. But you might want to buy it used or on sale.

Hear me out (2.5 stars).......2007-02-07

I know Strokes fans will cringe when they see my rating, but realize that I too am a Strokes fan. It simply comes down to this- I expect much more of this band than 'First Impressions...'. Hopefully this represents a brief lull in their creativity. Face it, deep down we all know this album is far inferior to their prior efforts. But I'm willing to give them a pass on this one and I will certainly listen to whatever they come up with next (with fingers crossed I might add).

I think it's ultimately ironic that after the Strokes release of 'Is this it' every band in the world tried to sound like the Strokes. Now, after listening to 'First Impressions...' it seems as if the Strokes are trying to sound like everybody else!

If you are thinking of purchasing this based on 'Is this it' or 'room on fire', I urge you to listen to the samples beforehand. It might be a good one to pick up for $8 at your local used CD store. Do not, under any circumstances, spend full retail $$$ on this!

Masterpiece.......2007-01-14

First Impressions Of Earth.........Could there have been a better album name for a 2006 release? No. This album is an expreimental masterpiece. Too bad England was the only one that noticed it. Songs on here like You Only Live Once, Heart in a Cage, Razorblade, Ize Of The World, and Red Light are all golden. Get this album now or you will regret it. The Strokes, the best rock band of our times.
