Kallisti is a new music trio whose primary goal is exploring the boundaries between improvisation and composition. Consisting of reed titan Dan Blunck, up-and-coming trombonist Dan Eaton and contrabassist Nathan Levine, these free spirits are the audio equivalent to abstract expressionism. Their sonic paintings are an eclectic mixture of out jazz, chamber music, marches, chaos, beauty, seriousness and downright absurdity. Kallisti will play a fractal for your ears and espouse chaos theory for your soul.

this disc will send you to outer space and back. there are some fairly random moments but all of it is laced with a weird sense of love and happiness. do not miss out on this absolutly crazy session of some of the most beautiful free music around!
