About the Artist
Vanishing Voices is the name given to an association of some of the country's top professional studio musicians. Organized by James Donnellan whose credits include Grammy nominations for best engineer, best audiophile recording, composer for film and television, and accomplished guitarist and Bill Robe a drummer/percussionist and music producer. The band is a recording band only and does not perform live. This concept allowed each artist to create and develop a heartfelt musical tribute to nature in an open-ended unstructured recording environment.
BAND MEMBERS:
Guest artists include Lorin Grean (courtesy Silver Wave Records) on recorder, Dr. Didg (Graham Wiggins)-renowned didgeridoo player, Katie Kirkpatrick-philharmonic harpist, Jeff Daniel-multi-talented keyboard player, Tony Humecke-composer for film television and major theme parks, John Leftwich-well known string bassist, Armand Ksajikian-philharmonic cellist and Ray Tischer-philharmonic viola and violinist.

Product Description
This is a concept album created and specially packaged in a deluxe gift box with 28-page companion booklet dedicated to endangered plants and flowers from around the world. Original compositions feature the rhythm, melodies and instruments of the indigenous cultures as inspired by specific endangered plants, that plant's color and its geographical location on the planet. It uniquely explores the relationship between the vibrations we hear and the vibrations we see in the colorful, but silent, language spoken so eloquently by Nature's flowers and plants. Beautiful music exquisitely packaged as a gift for oneself or others.

5 out of 5 stars The Silent Voices--Another Winner!.......2000-08-13

After enjoying for years the first CD of Vanishing Voices (A Musical Celebration), I was thrilled to hear there was a second volume. True to form, Bill Robe and James Donnellan have produced another exquisite work. The music ranges in style from lyrical to energetic, with gorgeous melodies and interestingly complex layers of sounds. And as in the first CD, the music reflects many of the planet's geographic regions. The recording quality is top notch once again. The packaging is beautiful, and the accompanying booklet is filled with information about the endangered plants of the earth. This is first-class work. Perfect as a gift(if you can bear to give it away).
