About the Artist
Mark Hershberger has studied, played and composed music for the last 35 years in the Detroit, Michigan area. He studied with Sam Sanders and Don Sinta, as well as at the University of Michigan School of Music.
He helped to found the Prismatic Band with Michael Colone, the group "AFFA' and has performed with many National artists over the years.
Mark plays from the heart and soul and his years of classical and jazz training give him the amazing ability to stretch the limits of the saxophone and his original compositions.
He brought together an amazing group of musicians for this production to create the band EMusicMasters.

The "World of Survivors" CD represents the culmination of over 25 years of musical creativity and vision. Mark creates a "World of Survivors" mood with the angelic vocals and seductive wailing horns.
He comes together with long time friend and musical colleague Michael Colone melding together originals that exemplify the stellar journey and human challenge ahead. Michael Colone's guitar sings to the stars with soulful declaration. Their songs reflect sounds that cover the spectrum from traditional to fusion to rhythm to blues to classical to funk!! Mark's time has come and his years of experience dating back to the early seventies provided, elevated and graced him with all of the elements and spirit needed for this CD.
He combines a beautiful melodic element in his playing and composition and a employs a fire filled motown, jazz saxophone sound to create stimulating and exciting original jazz. This music takes the listener on a journey through time and space.

to look to a new thought or activity that would rinse
my pain away and move into a new dawn. I found myself
asking "What can I do today, to feel good"

National recording artists from coast to coast have joined forces with Atta Girl Records to raise funds for tsunami survivors through a compilation CD entitled, "Tsunami Relief Project". This landmark album encompasses a wide range of genres including Singer/Songwriter, Folk, World Fusion, Latin, Contemporary Jazz and Americana. Each artist has donated their original recording in a tremendous show of support for this worthy cause. All profits are given to the international relief organization, CARE. Each artist is lending their considerable support to the project through promotion and sales at their concerts and websites. From East to West and North to South, the Tsunami Relief Project is garnering funds for it's stated purpose. Less than one week after the May 13th release date, Atta Girl Records sent off their first donation to CARE. After much research, CARE was selected as a worthy recipient of funds because of their 92% donation rate and highly effective international rebuilding programs. Corporate and private donors, and personnel from all phases of production have each unhesitatingly had a share in making this project an early success. Atta Girl Records has pledged to send 100% of the profits to this long-term rehabilitation effort.|
