About the Artist
FLASH is a New York- based songwriter/ composer who writes for a variety of projects in a variety of styles. His musical background reflects this diversity. On one end, he grew up as a classical pianist and wrote concertos and string quartets in high school; on the other end, he has been a regular in East Village clubs with his rock band. His compositions for commercials, theatre, fashion and film, which fuse these elements, have been described as “Potent”, “Rambunctious”, “Ominous”, and “Otherworldy” in publications such as the New York Times and Variety. In the commercial world, he has written the music for the national campaigns of Microsoft, Life Cereal, and Touchstone Energy among dozens of others. He has scored over fifty theatrical productions at such prominent theatres as Lincoln Center, Playwrights Horizons, The Hartford Stage Co., The Cleveland Play House, and the Old Globe in San Diego. His longtime collaboration with fashion designer, Zang Toi, has led to the release of a compilation of his songs from the designer's runway shows.
