Weisner's attention to detail is meticulous. Every piece is beautifully crafted and kind to the ears. The arrangements are colourful, a broad spectrum of digitally sampled instruments and invented sounds can be heard. The album has an east meets west sort of feel in keeping with the Shaolin Masters subject. This is essentially an easy listen but striking musical themes and developments hold the interest throughout. I would have liked more bass end in the mix and the main solo parts rendered by 'real' instruments and players. That would be perfection. Never-the-less, great work and highly enjoyable music.
