Award winning composer Martin McCavitt has written and produced music for dance, advertisements and films including National Geographic Explorer, The Richmond Ballet, Avis Rent-a-car, CSX, S&K Famous Brands, Heilig Meyers, BULLETS Fast Food, Club Cadet Riders, Figgie International, Massanutten Resort, Sheltering Arms Hospital, Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills, Mrs. Fearnow's Brunswick Stew, Duke's Mayonaise, Dupont, Ethyl Corporation, Rawlings Sporting Goods, Virginia Lottery, Virginia Power, Christian Children's Fund, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and many others. His film scores have been permanently installed at the Jamestown Visitor's Center, The Mariner's Museum, Valley Forge Visitor's Center and have been nationally televised on PBS, NBC and others.
McCavitt was a founding member and writer for Famous Actors From Out Of Town, Idio-Savant, The Tom and Marty Band, ISO-313, Dream Street, Gibbon Hick, Wild Weasel and others. He has appeared as a guest artist, producer or arranger for House Of Freaks, Cashmere Jungle Lords, Lauren Hoffmann, Alan Weitzman and worked with producers David Lowery, John Morand, John Leckie, Dennis Herring and Joey Porello. He has taught computer music and keyboard skills at University of Richmond and J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College and led workshops, demonstrations and educational in-service days for Opcode Music Software.
