Album Description

These are the now infamous hi-jacked customer service calls! As heard on Howard Stern (4 calls) and Crank Yankers (track #13)! Plus (as reported in the LA Weekly, September 2002) UPS has tried to stop Infestation Records from selling this CD and "Permanent Lapse of Reason"! These are actual calls of people calling IN to resolve various customer service issues. The only problem is that the phone number they are calling has been hijacked by RUDE "customer care" misfits like Junkyard Willie, Jim Bob the Inbred Hillbilly and Blade the Drunken Rocker. Their motto is simple: The Customer is always WRONG. Unsuspecting callers get fed up, then scream, yell and raise hell! It's been said "You can't find good help these days" ...but it was never THIS bad! Treat customers like this at your work and you'll be out of a job! Running time: 1 hour and 13 minutes (includes 6 minutes of skits). This CD contains 16 mostly angry calls (15 of which are INBOUND customer service calls). This is the third of four CD volumes released under the names "Touch-Tone Terrorists" and "Junkyard Willie" (volume 4).

TTT VS JB's?.......2007-07-23

Prank calls exist probably since the beginning of the telephone (or short thereafter) and the fact of the matter is that just like candid camera, this is funny business. Jerky boys was the first full fledged pranks on the telephone and I have to say there are some JB's moments that are so funny that a person unwillingly may dislocate their own jaw laughing. Touch Tone Terrorists are also extremely funny. This Guy Willie's voice is something to appreciate but eventually it does become funny. I laughed and laughed so I surely got my money's worth. I found a long time ago that when I mix music (Hot Hot Music) and one or two of this kind of humor it Cracks me Up and usually entertains whom ever else is in at the moment!. I am not going to compare too intensely TTT VS JB's but I will say that Jerky Boys along 3,4 albums they put out have some real nuggets. Like Pico, the guy that is afraid of his own shadow, the vegetable seller immigrant, there are too many funny ones and some duds. TTT are a welcome discovery and addition to my meager collection of this type of comedy. I have already purchased a second one, and I chose it after reading carefully what the fans are saying. Yes, this is Funny S..T! Make no mistake about it. By the way, Amazon.com rules when you really compare them to what is out there! I love when I want to speak with them and in less than a second my phone starts ringing!! How's that for cool! And the people who are posting these reviews are very cool to do so in the first place. How valuable their opinions are to me? They'll never know! I am learning the art of comparing reviews and get a solid accurate picture of what is I am trying to find out, for Free!!! Sorry, I probably went overboard just then. Long Live Comedy's Touch Tone Terrorists "Customer Service Disasters" sets the perfect note for a Healthy Laugh! 4 Stars for My Compadres!!

The Best Prank Calls ever!!!.......2006-06-28

Barr none, these are the best prank calls ever! I don't know how this guy can keep all his voices straight (the same guy does all the voices) but he manages to do so.

I would recommend this CD for all lovers of foul Shock Jock prank type humor. There is no comparison to The Jerkey Boys,(or whatever popular group happens to be in your city) RePete is simply the best. Trust me on this one, and check out my other reviews!

Amazingly Hilarious.......2006-04-21

This cd is so hilarious. These are real people trying to call real companys. When this cd was made UPS was going on strike. However there's no way they would ever have hired someone like Willie or Jim Bob, let alone make Jim Bob the supervisor. The guy is a genious getting into character with each transfer especially when he plays the normal guy trying to help the customer. "Jive Hussy" was so mean and so funny. I completely lauph so hard every time Willie tells the woman calling the bank to look on her calendar. Even though I know these characters are made up I still envision Willie mouthing off on the job. He is so rude. I guarentee that when you hear this you'll laugh so hard you'll hurt your stomache (not too much though, it's a good hurt).

This is perhaps the funniest crank call album ever made and one of the funniest comedy albums of any genre. Staggeringly brilliant. Listen with your friends and fall over in tears. Get this now or I'll bop yo' ass with a fungo bat!!!!!!

This cd and its follow-up, "Customer Service Crackpots" are sheer works of genius. I have a difficult time accepting that these are staged because the ANGER and SURPRISE from those calling in feels too real. I can only imagine the stuff RePete has in the vaults that his other victims refuse to sign releases for - there MUST be even MORE where this came from. That's what makes the last two releases of the four the most funny - the ANGER and DISRESPECT. The first two were more about making the other person laugh; these, on the other hand are about making the person on the other line VULNERABLE to ABUSE. Junkyard Willie and crew are SCREAMS. This is GREAT stuff - absolute GOLD. Not only that, but I still laugh hard even after multiple plays. GREAT, GREAT STUFF!!!!

This CD features 6 of the classic HIJACKED customer service calls, including 4 calls from people trying to track packages, an insurance company call, and one for an auto lube business. Pure genius.......2004-06-03

This was my favorite and I think the best one of the series, to include an Angry Willie inquiring to a worker in an office building who messed up the restroom, Jim Bob as a semi-retarted and near illiterate man conducting a survey on the drinking water, and Blade setting a package on fire with a gold watch. And even more interesting, an entire skit with Repete's natural voice as an apathetic customer service rep for a delivery company.

I listen to the samples and I liked a few of them so I puchased the CD.However when I played CD I was disapointed in some of the characters. The drunk charactor is stupid. The Junkyard and Southerner sound to fake, and think that not to much planning went into the taping of this product.I did get some laughs from the tape but would never buy another version.

What more can be said about this CD? God bless RePete and his sense of humor. You see I work in customer service and I deal with people complaining all day, everyday. I listen to Junkyard Willie and his cohorts at work to relieve tension and brighten my long days.

their first cd was very funny .. unfortunately, their second attempt was a stretch, to say the least...it sounds like they ran out of material.

The first in the series - collect them all!.......2002-06-20

Seriously, if you like this type of humour, you should buy all four Touch Tone Terrorists' CDs (the fourth CD actually is called Junkyard Willie Prank Call Tapes because RePete, the fellow who does all the voices, was not happy with the word "terrorists" after what happened on September 11, 2001).

This first CD was released in 1998 and is "independently distributed" - that is, it is difficult to find it in major stores, and outside the US the chances are even slimmer. Thank God for online retailers.

This opening CD introduces the three main characters who feature throughout the series and also some secondary on-and-off ones.

Willie is a man with a coarse voice and extremely abrupt manner (he used to be a Drill Sergeant in the Army, as you will later find out). Willie is even better developed in subsequent CDs as an angry and aggressive janitor, where he does his best to describe his latest flushing challenges.

There is also Blade, a dude who is always either drunk or on drugs. Blade likes throwing up on the phone (sounds are superbly recreated, but may be a bit over the top for those on the sensitive side!).

My favourite throughout the series is Jim-Bob, a retarded redneck with a bit of old-fashioned elegance about him (note how sparingly he uses profanity and his peculiar choice of swear words). I think he is also the author's favourite: there is this unmistakable flash of inspiration whenever RePete does Jim-Bob's stuttering, annoying and impatient character. I bet you'll like "Scooter's Transmissions", "City Brake" and "Scooter's Roof'n", where Jim-Bob's country charms are best represented.

The CD closes with "Auto Dealership Dispute", where you never stop wonering WHY OR WHY these people keep going on and on and on arguing with unspeakably arrogant car mechanic who keeps pumping up his abuse. Why don't they just call another dealership? It is a mystery. Makes you think some customers would put up with just about anything.

A superb CD. You will not regret buying it.

Groundbreaking.......2001-10-18

The pranks of the Touchtone Terrorists are quite simply some of the most brilliant and important contributions to the comic world that I can remember. That is not hyperbole, it is the god's honest truth.
Forget everything you've ever known about "prank phone calls." The cliched tactics of badgering and harassing people who simply hang up the phone once they realize they're getting jerked around are dead. The fact that the TTT have people calling them thinking they are reaching customer service representatives makes all the difference in the world. The victims' reactions make up the ingredients of pure, honest comedy-- shock, confusion and finally anger. It is this purity of the induced reactions that separates the work of the Touchtone Terrorists from anyone before or since them.
If you are fan of the age-old and timeless form of comedy known as the practical joke, treat yourself to this CD.

this is not repete's best work (see "a permanent lapse of reason"), but it is much funnier than just about any other pranker out there! highly recommended! also, PLEASE! check out john bean (type "the real leroy mercer is john bean") he is a country boy from east tennessee who died from cancer in the early 80's but decided to go out with a bang! roy mercer stole his act!

Can't be compared to the Jerky Boys.......2001-02-16

The only similarity would be that both the Jerky Boys and The Touch-Tone Terrorists belong in the "prank phone call" genre. The overall approach of both is different.

The first and second Jerky Boys CD's were the very best- the spontaneity and originality of the pranks made them classic. By the third and fourth CD's the boys were running out of steam, the fifth CD was mainly filler. The boys made prank phone calls an art form, mainly because the characters (Sol, Frank Rizzo,Jack Tors) were so colorful. The concept was simple, Johnny or Kamal would call someone and raise hell.

The Touch-Tone Terrorists take prank phone calls to new heights. RePete has numerous 800 numbers, and the callers (victims) think they are calling freight shippers, college admissions offices, insurance companies, etc. Instead of customer service they get Willie, Jim-Bob or Blade, who procede to skillfully enrage the customers.

This type of humor is not for everyone, but if you're a bit cruel at heart you'll love TTT.

This CD is not to be confused with the killer/brutal death metal band (IMMOLATION) this is Infestation:Mass Immolation. First off there are a couple of worthy tracks but with so many death metal bands its not a CD that offers anything different then other death metal. I say skip this and pickup (IMMOLATION-DAWN OF POSSESSION) or (IMMOLATION - HERE IN AFTER) if you want an great classic Death Metal CD

Awesome death metal you should check out!.......2002-08-12

Infestation is truly a great British death metal group. They have an amazing drummer and two extremely talented guitarists (w/Erik Rutan style solos). Their singer is almost comparable to a young Chris Barnes, in the "Eaten Back To Life/Butchered At Birth" era. His high pitched alternative scream is completely awesome and brutal. This album has catchy riffs that are like early Suffocation and Morbid Angel. Great blast beat intros are usually followed by amazing pummeling death breakdowns with crunchy pulverizing distortion and devastating growls. "The Hunt", "Curse Of Creation" and "Demons Of Darkness" are songs to check out! Own this rare album now if you are into death metal!
