The best of Solitudes.......2002-05-31
I really like this album. There are a few instrumental pieces that I didn't like but for the most part the guitar and sea are blended together very well. I listen to this frequently. This album avoids the clashing of the instrumental piece with the natural sounds. In some of the other Solitudes albums I find myself wished they would have toned down the natural sounds a bit since they are intrusive. I can't complain here. This is probably the best Solitudes album.
Shorelines: Cassical Guitar by Dan Gibson.......2001-12-23
Nature sounds and music are difficult arrangements to mix. Although I enjoyed the classical guitar, I thought the sounds of are what are said to be surf and water were overbearing and somewhat annoying.
Trustworthy!.......2001-11-20
Dan Gibson is a quality provider of Natures' ambience. Play this C.D. as you go to sleep at night. You will float away to the stars.
Destresssssssing...........2001-06-12
What makes this album nice are the soooooothing sounds of the guitar and seashore...or the canals of Venice...or Hawaii...or even Nova Scotia, Canada!
There's one track that sounds very much like an enthusiastic Irish celebration...you just feel like dancing!
What I find nice about this album is that there aren't any clashes of sound...nothing to get you overlly engaged.
So pop this album in your CD player...you'll fall in love.
