Customer Reviews:
Greatness.......2007-03-27
I am a piano player who has risen from being just an average person, to having my own album, play at many restaurants, and make maybe 90,000 dollars a year from just playing piano. And I have David Lanz to thank for this. I stumbled across this exact CD when I was 10 and it has inspired me so much, that I can't even begin to explain how talented he is. I own every single CD and advise you to do the same, because every note that man plays and every note that you here can inspire you to greatness. Love be with you all.... Greg Kates
So So CD.......2006-08-21
I've been playing New Age music for a very long time, and I have personally met New Age masters like John Tesh and Yanni, and Yanni being my favorite. I would suggest to any listeners to not buy David Lanz cd. Once you've heard 3 songs, the rest you know. He does not distinct himself from his peers. Try Yanni's IN MY TIME cd, a grammy nominated cd. You will enjoy, and is great for any type of listeners.
Excellent relaxing music.......2005-09-19
My wife and I recently were at a bed & breakfast where this was playing as background music. We enjoyed it so much that we wrote down the artist and album and purchased it as soon as we got home. One reviewer said the music all souded the same. I agree somewhat in that, it is ALL relaxing! I really like that there aren't fast/harder pieces in there - this way I don't get jolted with anything while trying to relax.
Great!.......2003-07-10
I first heard one of David Lanz's songs in dance class. The song was Cristofori's Dream and I had no idea who it was by. That song touched my heart so much so I searched for the artist and I found this CD. At first I was reluctent to buy it because I only heard one song from his CD and I wasn't sure if the rest of the songs were as good. The CD turned out to be better than I expected! I would have given this CD 5 Stars but the one thing I have to complain about...it does need a little more variety but it is still excellent. It is perfect for reading, dancing, spleeping...etc. ENJOY!
Truly music to the heart.......2000-10-26
I am writing this review as comments to Mr. Mark Baum's review on this CD as a "slow" one, and he also thinks that Yanni's music is NOT repetitive but Lanz's is. I rather not say whose music is repetitive, but any decent piano player would know whom between Lanz and Yanni. I only have one comment: There are those who enjoy music and there are those who take music to the heart.
Lanz's music rules! If his music is not good, then why (1) is he one of the newage kings? (2)why is his music being accepted as a cirriculum for piano playing in the academic world? (3) Why most people who listen to his music actually play his music on the piano? One word: PASSION! Not simply listen and then forget :-)
