About the Artist
Steven Cheyne-Cook has been playing piano for 45 years. Classically trained, on both piano and organ, he parted with those ridgid roots to find a musical expression that was emotionally connected. "Most jazz", he says, "leaves me feeling like I was stranded on the freeway! I need a melody to hum, something lyrical to open up my heart."
Product Description
Gentle fusion of classical, folk and jazz influences. Has been described as a cross between Vince Guaraldi and Claude Debussy. All tracks are original compositions or improvisations. This artist specializes in improvisation, calling these pieces tone poems. Fortunately, he learned how to turn on a recorder before his evening unwind!
