Probably the best compilation of C&J. From the first track - Distant Shores the quality of the album just gets better and better. We all remember the duo's appearance on Batman 'The Cat's Meow'/'The Bat's Kow Tow' Just as you get to enjoy 'Distant Shores' Catwoman steals their voices! Also there was an edited version of 'Teenage Failure' during the closing scenes of part two. You can now hear the full versions of both songs! There is even a French version of 'Distant Shores' and 'You Are She'. Other great tracks are 'Early Mornin' Rain' which is quite different from the Elvis version. 'Sixpence' is also enjoyable.

Sundazed has done it again. Easily the best reissue label in America (and that includes Rhino, who put out loads of crass product), they've put together an awesome CD here. Chad & Jeremy were one of the best of the British Invasion acts. Surprising? Not really, when you consider the quality of their music. I saw the duo in concert in the mid-80s at one of those "British Invasion Revival" tours, and Chad & Jeremy were far and away the best act on the bill. Pick up this CD.

This is a reissue of their 3rd album with a LOT of bonus tracks added.Listening to these warm,sunny pop tunes takes me back to a youth I'll always treasure.God bless Chad and Jeremy.....

This CD came in a set that my family bought many years ago. It has two tracks (each about 30 minutes long) that feature the sounds of crashing waves mixed with synthesized music. In each track, different types of sounds and music are used.

The problem with 30-minute "songs" is that they can be repititive. Still, this CD is a nice addition to my collection. Personally, however, I didn't like it as much as I liked Thunderstorm at Night, though.

If you enjoy relaxing with great instrumental music and no lyrics you'll love this CD. Soft,beautiful music blended so well and a few tracks of equally accomplished light jazz make this a truly great collection of music. Acoustic guitars,piano,violins,mandolin,electric basses etc. are mixed as well as I've heard.

      Written after Roylance and Galvin recorded their Tall Ships Suite, this suite also tells a story of ships in the Atlantic Ocean; this time of a Royal Navy Warship traveling the North Atlantic in WWII during 1943. Composed of several pieces, each piece has a distinct tone, melody and emotional impact. Each piece represents a different stage of the ship's travel across the sea, which makes it similar to its counterpart; the Tall Ships Suite. The emotional and melodic range from one piece to the next is quite great; and one could listen to all the pieces in a row and think that each was composed by a different person. In this respect, it is quite different from the Tall Ships Suite, in which one could tell that they were all composed by the same person, and should be played together. Overall, this music is okay; not great and not as majestic as the Tall Ships Suite. There is singing though in the last piece, which might broaden the appeal of this work over the prior Suite.

          The only reason why I'm giving this three stars is because the album is now on cd. I've tried playing it on different equipment, adjusting the high's and low's endlessly but still the sound is FLAT. I Hope our French brothers decide to re-master it or if not, EMI should.

          I own the original cassette tape released in 1989 by the Canadian company Midsummer Music, and have been looking for more of anything by Mark Bracken for years and years! The quality of his music is awesome. It's amazing this tape isn't worn out because it's been played a million times, often late at night as we're falling asleep. It is dreamlike yet not boring. The highest and best use is listening while sitting outside, sipping port and watching for falling stars. This is the first time I've been moved to write a review because Distant Shores needs to reach as many listeners as possible! Would make great yoga music as well. Sincerely, Barbara in Las Vegas
