I bought this CD because I didn't really know which type of sound I'd relax most too be it ocean, rain, forest, etc. Well I love all the sounds on this sampler, and I play it every night. My hubby says that 20 mins into the CD there's a rooster crowing, but I wouldn't know because by that time I'm already fast asleep. Great stuff!

This excellent compilation of 20 different Nature Sound albums was out of print, but is now finally available again through ONLY NEW AGE MUSIC(repackaged and remastered). This album creates a journey through different Nature scenes all recorded by Chuck Plaisance, with a special microphone that simulates human hearing. The sounds were then edited and composed, arranged and mixed like an orchestrated piece but still remain pure Sounds of Nature. Like Bernie Krause Doucet and Plaisance take essential Nature Sounds and recreate an ambience that takes you even deeper into the essence of Nature.

What a disappointment! I wanted to hear nature sounds, not guitar music! Boo

For the price, and a sampler CD, you can't beat it. It has several different sounds, and you get 5 minutes of each sound. Most of the sounds, I would say, are badly done, and sound like they have been done in a studio. I did, however, make a purchase of one of their CD's that I had heard on the sample CD. I was glad to have the sampler, because it saved me money buying other CD's from this company.

I've been looking for a CD with a mixture of nature sounds like Thundering Rainstorms, Ocean Surf and Whales ever since my wife became pregnant to use for relaxation and have been unable to find what I wanted anywhere. The local mall, book stores and nature shops had nothing. The sounds on this CD are relaxing for both my wife and I. And it was very inexpensive for the enjoyment and benefits we've received. If you need to relax or you are a lover of nature you'll enjoy this CD.

My almost three-year-old son absolutely adores listening to this "album" while falling asleep at night! I originally had a cassette recording. It got so thin and worn that I had to find it in a CD format. Thank Goodness for Amazon.com!

That's all I have to say. It's great nature sounds mixed in with beautiful and relaxing and soothing accoustic guitar in two tracks. I definetly reccommend this sampler to you.

    It's ok if the guitar is playing in the background, but the guitar is not. It is playing in the foreground. So I can barely hear the nature sounds. Can't enjoy the nature sounds. I do enjoy the guitar though.

    If you like nature sounds with music on, you may like this Sampler. Includes 9 tracks, about 5 to 10 minutes each. The price is quite a bargain too.

    If I was looking for guitar CD, I would choose this one. The music is soothing and relaxing. However, I was expecting nature sounds ONLY when I ordered this sampler CD. Because of the guitar it gets only 3 stars. I heard Echoes of Nature's Sampler is not enhanced with music whatsoever. And the price is just nice.

    Don't you wish all environmental sound CDs come with bold and clear descriptions that say, "Enhanced with music" or "Nature sounds ONLY"(that is, NOT enhanced with music)? That may spare us from unwanted spending and frustration. Guess thats what reviews are for.
