It is a perilous proposition when genres clash--and no such collaboration is more potentially fraught than when improvisation-trained folk musicians sit in with Western classical instrumentalists, who are taught to interpret a printed score. The renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma has devoted much of his professional life to such intercultural experiments. But the traditions of nations situated along the ancient Silk Road, which began in the Far East, meandered through Asia and terminated in Europe, are especially dear to him. These lushly arranged pieces range from moody scenic vistas to percussive Turkish hip-shakers and they make very pleasant listening. If they owe more to the European canon than the ethnic sources that inspired them, they are also the result of respectful give-and-take between a team of acknowledged masters. And nobody is more of a team player than Maestro Ma, an impassioned, fearless musical seeker and a gracious, deferential colleague. --Christina Roden

delightful experience.......2007-07-04
this collection of music is quite a cultural experience. I've been hooked since I opened the cover!
Excellent Compilation with Marvelous Tracks.......2007-01-20
I enjoyed this compilation of Silk Road music very much. It delivers a nice, diverse sample of music from the region. My favorite track of the CD is Shikasta, but I like the others as well.
Beyond the first Silk Road CD.......2006-11-23
Yo-Yo Ma went beyond indeed. The first CD with Silk Road ensemble (When Strangers Meet) was inconsistent and somewhat experimental. This one however, is superb. As if in the 5 years the musicians got to know each other (but in truth, only a few musicians are the same). 23 traditional Eastern instruments are listed plus a number of western strings and other percussion was used. So the music on this CD gets my full attention, and as the title of first track suggests, you (can) get enchanted.
The tracks are ordered into three parts: Enchantments (1-5), Origins (6-9) and New Beginnings. First track is strangely familiar (like it was used in some film, but there is no mention of this). In third track this theme gets Chinese interpretation. The style from one track to the other changes, so you can't get bored or overexcited. Second is simply very nice, the fourth great intro of Armenian wind instrument duduk (played by famous Gevorg Dabaghyan), accompanied by percussion mostly, albeit the piece is short. 5 is gentle with cello and xun (Chinese ocarina), 6 orchestral from slow to cool, 7 again gentle with cello and vocal, 8 starts with yearning duduk and turns into orchestral battle, 9 cello and percussion. Track 10 is the only one with prominent vocal (love song) and introduces us to the last part of CD, which are more like jam sessions of all instruments. 11 and 13 are very lively. The last one, track 15, brings us a new interpretation of very ancient Chinese melody played on pipa.
Some would probably say this CD is commercialized. Personally I don't see any wrongdoings in this as long the music stays a high quality one. For the more authentic Silk Road one can always buy The Silk Road: A Musical Caravan.
Excelent!!!.......2006-01-15
One of the best concerts I attended in my life (so far... :-)...)
One of the Best !.......2005-12-06
This album has captured the soul of the Silkroad. There is not a single track in this album I don't like. I've been listening to it over and over and over again since I first got it. I think it's much better than the first one.

Stagg's Best Work.......2006-02-26
I have all of Hilary Stagg's CD's and this is my favorite. Melodius Harp at it's finest. Great for yoga and meditation or just listening.
Looking for Heavenly Music? (on earth?) THIS IS IT ..........2004-03-25
This CD was my first introduction to 'acoustic harp music'. Anyone looking for sublime, peaceful, ethereal, inter-dimensional music that connects you to the realm of Spirit ... purity ...innocence ... HERE IT IS! This CD will clear your stress. It will melt feelings of anxiety... they will disappear. It is *not* an exaggeration. In fact, the listener may well find problems and cares will be viewed from a different light. The 'sound scapes' of this pure and crystal clear stringed instrument do indeed take the listener to "beyond the horizon". The musical realm created by Hilary Stagg is one of grace, beauty, love. Sometimes we forget what a precious gift Life is ... At unexpected times, when listening to this CD, my thoughts wander -- long forgotten dreams and hopes from the past greet me and are compared with those of today. All kinds of people and events are remembered. Where I was, what I dreamed of, what I have achieved, what did not happen --- all come to mind -- new hopes and possibilities arise -- as fleeting thoughts. The Great River of Life is experienced ... a flow of many feelings, thoughts, experiences, some turbulent and some peaceful ... just let it happen! Ocassionally tears of joy and gratitude arise while experiencing the Great Spirit of Life. This CD helps the listener (who is ready) enter "the silent space within". It decreases the pounding of everyday thoughts and feelings replacing it with a nonjudgemental and accepting attitude. The music of the acoustic harp gently floats the listener ... to a place of serenity and bliss. One just needs to be open and receptive. Erika Borsos (erikab93)

BEAUTIFUL, RELAXING, SOOTHING, PEACEFUL,SOUNDS!.......1999-07-08
I TOOK IT TO WORK, & EVERYONE! WHO COMES IN LOVES IT!!! THEIR FIRST QUESTION, SOMETIMES PRIOR TO HELLO, IS `WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT MUSIC, IT'S BEAUTIFUL!' IT'S RESTFUL, BEAUTIFUL, SOOTHING, LIKE A RETREAT IN YOUR FAVORITE PLACE, WITH THE PERFECT WEATHER, & YOUR SPECIAL SOULMATE IN THE WHOLE WORLD! AND TIME IS NOT IMPORTANT! BUY IT!!!!!!! AND, IT WOULD MAKE GREAT GIFTS!
Some of the best "new age" I've listened to ...........1998-10-07
I listen to a lot of different new age music (Suzanne Cianni, Lorenna McKennit, Windham Hill, Michael Gettel, etc) and Hilary Stagg has recently become my favorite (my massueuse introduced me to it). When I listen to his music I'm instantly transferred to a quiet and peaceful place.

Customer Reviews:
The Real George Benson!.......2007-06-14
I've been a George Benson fan for almost three decades now (though not so much in recent years) but for most of that time I was also a pretty ignorant one in that I used to believe his career began with 1976's Breezin'. I know better now of course. Fine an album as that one was (and still is) though, a few albums preceded it that were far superior, especially in terms of his jazz guitar playing. I'm thinking about White Rabbit, (also released in 1971), 1973's Body Talk and 1974's Bad Benson, and even after all this time, these are still some of my favourites.
This one I missed though. Recorded in 1971, I recently learned that it's considered by many to be one of his best. The sticker label on the front of the CD proclaims it as "the legendary musician's most brilliant guitar recording. A breathtakingly burning finger-bursting jazz guitar classic!" and after just one listen I have to say I totally agree. There are no vocals at all on this one, not even Benson's trademark background scatting, which alone marks it out. The guitar playing is mesmerisingly interesting.
There were five tracks on the original album, produced by Creed Taylor and it features other legends like Ron Carter on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums, with Clarence Palmer on organ, and Michael Cameron & Albert Nicholson on percussion. This (probably remastered) reissue has three extra tracks; alternate takes of "All Clear", "Ode To A Kudu" and "Somewhere In The East". These alternate takes are not quite as tight are the original versions and lean towards the smoother jazz Benson was to later become renowned for. No surprise there, I suppose.
I've always loved Benson's guitar improvisations but some of the stuff he does here - on the Bonfa/Duble tune "The Gentle Rain" and the exotic, worldly "Somewhere In The East" especially - is just crazy. The percussion on the tune is almost worth the price of the CD all on its own. "All Clear" has been one of my favourite tracks by Benson for the longest time ever since a friend put it in a compilation tape for me back in the old days. It's only recently I decided to find the album the song came from. I may have left it rather late but better late than never, no?
If you ever wanted to have an idea of how George Benson might have turned out if he hadn't tried to be a jazz guitarist AND a pop singer at the same time, this CD is definitely worth checking out. Personally, I love every minute of it.

Album Details
Solitude Aeternus was Formed in 1987 by Guitarist John Perez. It was Influenced by Power Metal Bands (Metallica, Jag Panzer, Metal Church, Fates Warning), the Early Crop of Doom Metal Bands (Candlemass, St. Vitus, Trouble, Pentagram), as also Psychedelic and 70's Hard Rock. The Debut Proved to Be Worthy of Patience - the Heavy, Yet Strangely Sublime Sound Followed by Brilliant Technique and a Gloomy Atmosphere Proved that Speed is Not What Counts the Most in Metal. In March of 1992 the Band Begun the Sessions for their Second Full-length Album, Beyond the Crimson Horizon. The Second LP was Released in July of 1992 and Surpassed the Debut in Every Aspect, Bringing an Intelligent, Carefully Measured Doom Metal Feast. The Release of 'beyond the Crimson Horizon' was Followed by a Tour with Paul Di'anno's Killers. Unfortunately, their Cooperation with Roadrunner Ended in 1993. The Group Singed a New Deal in December with Pavement Records.
Customer Reviews:
"We stepped into that swallowing void".......2007-01-05
In the Doom Metal wake of Candlemass came two flagbearers of the genre: My Dying Bride and Solitude Aeturnus. The latter of which sounded more like their forefathers with epic soundscapes and soaring vocalizations, grooving riffs and excellent guitar solos. Doom Metal enthusiasts owe it to themselves to fork out the cash to pick up this release. This is Solitude Aeturnus at their most inspired, before they seemed to run out of steam. Thankfully, after a long hiatus, they returned refreshed with their most recent album "Alone" which clearly sounds as if it was modeled after this early masterwork. "Beyond the Crimson Horizon" is a superb addition to any Doom Metal collection. There is a problem with a couple of the tracks on the CD I received. At the beginning and end of "Beneath the Fading Sun" the sound is slightly static, while at the end of "Plague of Procreation" this happens. It is hard to believe this was intentionally produced for this effect, like a dusty old long-playing record. It may only be my CD that does this, and it is completely unnoticeable throughout the rest of these two songs. So this is really only a minor complaint, and it may not even be justifiable. There are two demo tracks added on of "It Came Upon One Night" and a horrible sounding "City of Armageddon." Both are completely unnecessary to listen to, as one is already polished and part of the album proper and the other is simply trash. Ignore these final negatives as the actual album is a fantastic Doom Metal excursion worthy of the highest praise. The minor flaws are incredibly minor, and I always just skip the final two added tracks anyway. Fans of the genre rejoice at this remastered re-release. Highly recommended.

Queen of Songs.......2007-07-29
I received this CD 'San Fracisco and other Jeanette MacDonald Favorites' a few days ago and have listened to it carefully several times. She is about a generation before my time; so far I have seen only two pictures of her: 'San Francisco' and 'The Merry Widow'. In San Francisco, I discovered she can also sing opera successfully to some degree As for The Merry Widow, I much prefer the later version performed by Lana Turner and Fernando Lamas although Turner didn't sing by herself in the film and Lamas is a lot more convincing than Maurice Chevalier as a Casanova type beau; to be truthful, I can't stand grandpa Chevalier. I beleive I also saw another of her movie which she played quite late in her career because she played mother to Jane Powell, this one I saw in the theater in my teenage days, for your information, I saw almost every MGM musicals in those heyday years. Unfortunately though, I don't quite remember the story of it, but I do remember vaguely that MacDonald sang Un bel di from Puccini's Madama Butterfly and when she sang she formed her mouth so beautifully that one could forget it if she didn't sing well.
One thing I can assert with confidence is that MacDonald is a very beautiful lady oozes with glamour, and is very classy. Classiness was a very prominent and widespread quality of female stars in that era, Lana Turner who played the wealthy merry widow was just one case. If I were to make a list it would occupy a full page, nowadays, it would be impossible to name just three or four female stars with class, no offense, please. Now let me come back to the main subject that is MacDonald's art of singing. Well, she certainly has good vocal technigue, her high note is firm to the very top and she is able to sustain it for a considerable duration as she has displayed quite often in this disc. The voice itself is delicate and sweet, just like her person. However, she tends to sing with monotone which make her singing sounds bland, like no. 4, Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life, may be if she move a notch down the scale it would sound more pleasant. Songs My Mother Taught Me is just about the only song she successfully sings with feelings. Here, I would like to point out that a few songs are worth repeated listenings: Ciribiribin, The Donkey Serenade, Italian Street Song, and of course, Songs My Mother Taught Me.
Songs no. 16 to 22, I'm sorry to say that they are not up to my standard, I have been listening to opera singing for over thirty years you know. I must mention here that MacDonald's French seems very good, I don't know French though, nevertheless, I can tell just by listening
Queen of Songs is a title crowned her by the Chinese people in that time, she was indeed highly esteemed.
Jeanette MacDonald Favorites.......2007-05-13
This CD is an incredible testimony and celebration of an American Master Singer.
A must have for all. An introduction to quality and good taste for a new generation of music lovers.
A MUST for any Jeanette fan!.......2006-04-25
This CD is a gem! The songs included on it are beautiful and show off MacDonald's incredible voice. The best part of this CD, however, is the sound quality. Unlike many of her other recordings, and those featuring her with frequent costar Nelson Eddy, the sound on this CD is pristine, and you can barely tell the recordings are 50+ years old!
Jeanette MacDonald Was Unique.......2001-03-12
It really doesn't matter whether or not she could sing; Jeanette MacDonald was unique. On these old recordings, her voice sounds thin and watery, and contemporary tastes do not respond so readily to the sentimentality and predictability of her movies. But she was a gracious lady and glittering presence on the silver screen. These film songs do suggest the excitement she generated when her movies first appeared. And how many truly major singers she inspired! Joan Sutherland recalled meeting MacDonald a few years before her death. Said Sutherland: "I still had stars in my eyes."
An excellent demonstration of Jeanette MacDonald's artistry.......1998-12-18
The highlights of this Jeanette MacDonald CD include her excellent singing of Delibes' "Les Filles de Cadiz," the Bach-Gounod "Ave Maria," and the "Jewel Song" from "Faust." A much-underrated artist, MacDonald proves here that she can handle a wide range of music, from concert songs and opera arias to familiar tunes from her operetta films. Particularly fine are her renditions of "Only a Rose," and Herbert's "Romany Life" (in spite of an amateurish male chorus). Highly recommended not only as a tribute to filmdom's first lady of song, but also to listeners who enjoy both opera and musical comedy.

Album Description
The Marshall Tucker Band, acknowledged as one of the founding fathers of the Southern rock movement, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a new studio album. These last three decades have found the band conquering everything from country to rock to jazz, not to mention legendary guitar jams. This new recording, their first in five years, includes 12 tracks that will soon become classics. Produced by lead vocalist and original member Doug Gray, along with guitarist/vocalist Chris Hicks, the album is comprised of everything from country-tinged ballads to Southern blues and rock 'n' roll. In addition, it includes two songs penned by the late Toy Caldwell, a cofounding member of the group.
Customer Reviews:
Excellent.......2006-12-11
Agree with other reviews. It's an excellent CD given the bands history and sound.
True to the tradition.......2006-10-04
If Toy and Tommy Caldwell were still around I've got to believe that this outing would have their blessing. The songwriting is strong throughout and two of the tracks were written by Toy himself. My personal two favorite tracks ("The Rain" and "Give It All You Got") were both written and sung by Chris Hicks, who has a total of 8 writing or co-writing credits on the cd. Doug Gray is in fine voice on this disc as is Hicks and the rest of the band. The playing is strong throughout, with flautist David Muse carrying on in the style originally established by Jerry Eubanks, and Doug Gray's nephew, Clay Cook, showcasing his incredible talents on a couple of the tracks, as well as co-writing two tunes with Chris Hicks. Original Tucker producer (from the band's glory days on Capricorn Records), Paul Hornsby, lends his keyboard talents to 8 of the tracks, greatly helping to retain the feel of the original MTB line-up. Grumpy Old Tuckerheads will no doubt complain that without a Caldwell in the group it ain't the Marshall Tucker Band, but this is a finely crafted album that is true to the tradition established by the original band and is deserving to be heard by Tucker fans of all stripes.
Marshall Tucker's Best Since 1983.......2005-03-08
BEYOND THE HORIZON is Marshall Tucker's best album since 1983. On this one, singer/guitarist Chris Hicks shares lead vocals with Doug Gray, singing many songs on his own and giving the band a new voice while returning it to the old 70s sound of records such as the self-titled debut, A NEW LIFE and WHERE WE ALL BELONG. Several songs are not so great, but the great ones make this a 5-star release.

this new cd has done the boys proud the great southern style is there the new with the old. doug's vocals are in great shape and you dont have to worry about the next generation of tucker boys. The guy from Tennessee below seems to have it right. Listening to the samples was enough to tell me that this is not the MTB sound I look forward to and have enjoyed for many years. There are slight hints of the MTB sound in the samples but not enough for me. Get "Stompin'Room Only" - MTB at its finest and as it should be heard - jammin' and rockin' live.

Nobody Does It Better.......2007-01-03
For music of the 20's nobody does it better than George Olsen and his Orchestra. "A Precious Little Thing Called Love" is done so well. In fact his wife sings the chorus, Ethel Shutta, and if I am not mistaken sang the song "Broadway Baby", in the original Sondheim show "Follies", when she was well into her 70's. Again, a thank you to Living Era Records in England for putting all the "older" music on CD.
Must-have for fans of 1920s music!.......2005-01-13
George Olsen (originally from Oregon) went from being drum major of the University of Michigan marching band to leading successful pit orchestras for some of the most famous Broadway musical productions of the 1920s. He appeared in numerous Ziegfield follies, George White scandals, etc. His orchestra began recording for Victor records in 1924 and soon became a rival to the top-rated orchestras of Paul Whiteman and Fred Waring. Olsen's most successful recording was the 1925 smash hit, Who?, and was followed by many others including, Lucky Day, Do Do Do, Varsity Drag, and Doin' the Racoon. Olsen appeared in the Eddie Cantor talking picture, Whoopee, in 1930. He also was Jack Benny's first orchestra leader when Benny began his weekly show on radio in 1931.
Olsen's recordings were generally up-tempo renditions of Broadway or other popular tunes. The arrangements were complex, musically "busy", and featured a rotation of lead instruments on repetitions of the main theme, driven by a relentless rhythm section of the "boom-chick" variety. The music reflects and embodies the carefree spirit and hyperactivity of the "jazz age". The vocals are remarkably good and surprisingly understated, for the period. The lead singer was usually Fran Frey who had an unpolished-but-effective-and-charming, relaxed, baritone delivery. (Frey was later musical director for the Ice Capades.) Other songs were tastefully and satisfactorily performed by a vocal trio. Several songs on this CD were sung by Olsen's wife, Ethel Shutta, who had an almost angelic, etherial, soprano voice.
Although Olsen's popularity waned in the 1930s, he continued leading some form of orchestra until he retired in 1951. In his later years, he was a successful restaurateur in Paramus, NJ. His popular restaurant, Olsen's, featured his 1920s and 1930s recordings as background music. He remained active until his death in the early 1970s.
The British label, ASV, has an extensive catalogue of reissued recordings from the 1910s into the 1950s. I have at least twenty ASV releases and all of them are of excellent quality. These Olsen recordings are a pleasure to hear. If you like 1920s music, you will find this CD to be indispensable!
Great twenties/thirties music!.......2004-10-25
George Olsen had a HUGE hit with "Doin' the raccoon." It is an infectious little number celebrating the raccoon coat fad with the college crowd back in the twenties. There was more to this band than just a novelty number, however. They played fantastically, had a great lead singer, and knew how to mix the then-new jazz beat with some melodic dancing music. This is a fun band and the cd is well worth getting.

Customer Reviews:
extremely poor re-mastering.......2004-12-21
I listen to many (re-mastered) historical recordings. Jeanette MacDonald is certainly one of my most favorite sopranos. For some reason, I haven't been able to find a decent, or even acceptable, re-mastering of her recordings.
While this one certainly contains many valuable tracks, the re-mastering is horrid. The songs sound stripped yet still maintain a great deal of distracting noise. I conjecture that the re-mastering was done simply by increasing the bass and decreasing the treble.
An excellent CD!.......2004-03-29
This is an excellent collection of the Screen Sweethearts of the 30's, Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald, *not* singing together, in the 40's (except for a few of Jeanette's songs).
For Jeanette, it has numbers from Up In Central Park: Carousel in the Park, It Doesn't Cost You Anything to Dream, Close as Pages in a Book, Fireman's Bride, The Big Back Yard, When You Walk in the Room. She and Robert Merrill sing these together and on their own, and very charmingly, too. There are also Love Me Tonight, Isn't It Romantic, and Beyond the Blue Horizon.
For Nelson, he sings music from The Student Prince with Rise Stevens: Golden Days, Drinking Song, Deep in my Heart Dear, Serenade (which is BEAUTIFUL!), Just We Two, and Come Boys. He also sings all the songs from Northwest Outpost - thankfully, without Ilona Massey! Also, the Willie the Whale segment from Make Mine Music is on this CD - just as it is in the movie, with the narration and everything - it's great! (The Tristan und Isolde part is not included, however - not sure what the reasoning is behind that.) He also sings a duet with Jane Powell - Why Do I Love You? from Show Boat.
I say this is a must for fans of Nelson and/or Jeanette, not to mention Rise Stevens!
I particularly enjoy "When You Walk in the Room". It's a charming little tune, with ridiculous but adorable lyrics! "Fireman's Bride" is very funny also - Jeanette barely sounds like herself!
I hope this will help others to choose this CD - it's a pity there's not a list of the titles here!
Nelson Eddy on CD - always a pleasure.......1998-08-30
It's always a pleasure to find Nelson Eddy's wonderful voice on CD and this one has some of the harder-to-find pieces in it, including collaborations with Jane Powell and the wonderful mezzo Rise Stevens. The recording of "The Whale Who Sang at the Met" is a must for any collector as are the excellent recordings (better than on the movie) for "Northwest Outpost". The baritone singing opposite Jeanette MacDonald also has an excellent voice (though his name temporarily escapes me)

Essential listening.......2006-08-13
I did not expect to enjoy this CD so much, namely because I am not much of a Country-Western fan, and the only track I knew here is "Beyond the Blue Horizon". That aside, I was thrilled when I played it for the first time. This album is one of the most pleasing ones I have heard, and one of Lou Christie's best. Opening with the beautiful, "Saddle the Wind", and closing with the equally stunning "Morning Rider", this album is both clevery-produced/arranged and movingly performed. Other highlights (besides the title track) include the amusing "Good Mornin/Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah", the exhuberant "Hey You Cajun", as well as some nice bonus tracks, which round out the end of the CD. Definately one of my favorite Lou CDs, and one that you are likely to go back to, again and again.
Lou Does Country and Does It Well!.......2005-02-02
Originally issued in 1974 on the Three Brothers label as Lou Christie, this was Lou's detour into country music. Ironically, the single "Beyond The Blue Horizon" ended up becoming an adult contemporary hit (#12 Billboard) and missed the country charts completely. Over the years, it has been effectively re-used in the films RAIN MAN, DUTCH, and A HOME OF OUR OWN.
Throughout the album, Lou proves himself to be extremely adept at country music. He combines the original "Good Mornin'" with the Disney classic "Zip A Dee Doo Dah" and gives it a lazy delivery similar to "Beyond The Blue Horizon." "You Were The One" conjures up memories of smooth 60s countrypolitan, while "Wilma Lee and Stoney" (a tribute to legendary country duo Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper) offers up hard core twangy bluegrass and "Saddle The Wind" finds Lou in a gentle folk setting. Then there's "Hey You Cajun" which has an appropriately zydeco feel to it. It's a hodgepodge of western styles that surprisingly sound great alongside each other.
Prior to this album, Lou wrote most of his material with Twyla Herbert. Here he tackles 8 tunes by the producer/arranger Tony Romeo, best known previously for composing bubblegum tunes like the Partridge Family's "I Think I Love You" and Lou's hit "I'm Gonna Make You Mine." Lou's weary, under-stated version of Romeo's "Morning Rider" (originally released by the Partridge Family on their Up To Date album) is my favorite track on this album, one of Lou's most heartfelt recordings ever.
The last four tracks - all pretty ballads - are bonus tracks that don't really fit the tone of the original album. But don't let that keep you from purchasing what is otherwise a great cd that nicely showcases Lou Christie's diversity.
Lou Christie Strikes Again with Country Lightnin'!.......1999-04-14
In 1973, classic rock 'n' roll performer Lou Christie took an odd turn into country music.
Country was not an entirely illogical path for folkier artists such as Bob Dylan and the Byrds, but for a singer of such lusty teenage melodramas as "Lightnin' Strikes" and "Rhapsody in the Rain" it seemed completely crazy.
As it turned out, though, Christie had a natural affinity for the form -- not that his album exactly fit in with the country market.
"Lou Christie" is an odd and striking mix of sweet folksy numbers, bluegrass-tinged foot-stompers and pretty covers of classic pop songs (including "Mack the Knife" and "Wheel of Fortune").
Several tracks, including "Saddle the Wind," "Wilma Lee and Stoney," and Christie's sweet revival of "Beyond the Blue Horizon" rate among his best work.
This reissue of "Lou Christie" contains four previously unreleased bonus tracks, including the sweet "Two Little Clouds Passing By."
Christie remains one of the most unusual, lovable and underappreciated singers to emerge from the '60s. And it's a blessing to have "Lou Christie" available again.
