          A slice of life, recorded at Central Statio in Milan, Italy in 1987, with additional later recordings. Not quite as unforgettable as his Die Reise, but important nevertheless. The cover says the work is an enigma. Does that help?

          Datblygu, meaning Develop in Welsh, has influenced many of the Welsh bands, most famously Super Furry Animals who covered Datblygu's Y Teimlad. After listening this album, you will realise why. Datblygu is beautifully dark and original, both in comparison to the Welsh scene at the time and music coming from the rest of the world at the time. They shook up the Welsh scene and disappeared leaving a changed scene in their wake.

                For the most part this is what you'd expect from a standard Peel Sessions disc: very slightly altered versions of songs you already know and own. However, the wacky rocked-out version of Happy Birthday alone makes this one worth the purchase price. I thought their cover of Think That It Might was good (not sure what order these orginally came out in, but I heard that one first), but this one's more noticeably divergent from the original, in a good way. The rest of this disc ain't bad either, the versions while not drastically altered are different enough to make you want to pay attention.
