The South African-born guitarist has a good deal of training on instruments from both shores, including musical education at the Berklee College of Music and tutelage on the sitar from master teacher Ram Chakravarty. This album shows McNamara's skills with both idioms, presenting an intuitive blend of Eastern and Western styles in a contemporary setting. The album is a fantastic choice for yoga (as the name semi-implies) with its subtle rhythmic nature and Asian hues.
