About the Artist
Robert Tabby Crabb played piano with Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee and The Urban Cowboy Band and appeared in the movie by the same name in the early 1980s before moving to Nashville to play with Memphis and Becky Hobbs. Tabby began his piano career at the age of seven studying with Miss Elizabeth Cobb who was the daughter of Confederate General George R.R. Cobb and started putting out records in the mid 80s first on Lobo Records in Nashville before starting Musark with Gypsy Carns.

This is an outstanding collection of classical music for the home, regardless of age. We own two of the three CD's in this collection seperately, and they are excellent.

The "songs" were selected from excellent previously made recordings from the vast Phillips classical music catalog. The sound quality, selection and performances are excellent.

The songs selected are especially good for very young children. They are brilliant and pleasant, and they are not too loud or heavy. They are great for playing at home. Highly recommended!

        Wish I had had this for my little ones. I got goosebumps when I listened to the first song. I'm giving it to my best friend's daughter as a shower present and know she's gonna love it.Maybe it will even be background music at the shower.

        Thank goodness that I finally found a CD that has such a calming effect on children of all ages! Not only is it great for babies but older children find it very relaxing too.

        Tabby Crabb was a smokin piano player with the original Urban Cowboy Band down at Gilley's in Houston Texas and obviously he's expanded his horizons with this cd for infants. We play it at nap time and it really seems to relax and soothe youngsters and oldsters too. The cd is beautifully produced solo piano and sounds like your head is inside the piano lid. Music For Babies Only is a winner and I hope he does a follow up too.
