one night in brooklyn in early 1999, a group of loosely affiliated friends gathered at brooklyn's purple light studios and recorded 8 hours of free form eclectic music with influences ranging from traditional jazz to world music. the album is completely instrumental and is 60 minutes of meditative, soothing compositions. perfect for the late night hang, the bubble bath, or over dinner, this is surely some marvelous ear candy which is unobtrusive, and artistically motivated. ghosts of the canal will return to haunt again with another dreamy and beautiful album early next year
