Shannon's CD's are music for our times. Inspired prayers that cross all boundaries and represent all cultures, these songs include elements of Gregorian chant infused with ancestral chant and indigenous rhythms. The music is an opening to go deeper, offering us a chance to listen to our own souls calling and to follow our own hearts flight.
This CD is dedicated to St. Francis and St. Clare and their compassionate example of service. We wish to affirm and share the wonderful spirit of grace and generosity present in Assisi. We acknowledge the world's religious leaders of all faiths who met in Assisi in 2002 and wrote the Decalogue of Assisi for Peace, a wonderful document outlining universal conscience principles (included in the CD liner notes).
We wish to extend to the world Art that is Healing and of Service to our most meaningful selves. This new recording augments our collection of music that provides a portal for grace. Music without words, sung in the universal language of the heart, is wonderful for meditation, centering prayer or slow, quiet time for integration and reflection.
We pray for all to remember we are the Voices of Angels for one another in the world. Art as Prayer heals all wounds, circumstances and divisions.
