Album Description
When you think of bands like Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Souther, Hillman and Furay, one name definitely links them all together: Richie Furay. Now, when you add the names Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Kenny Loggins, Timothy B. Schmidt, Rusty Young, etc. there is a stunning new album from Richie Furay that links these superstars all together called The Heartbeat Of Love.....12 great songs, a dozen rare performances from Furay and his friends bring that sound that we are all familiar with to this new cd.
The album opens with a fresh new track called Forever With You .Loaded with hooks and harmonic melodies, this tune gives the listener a welcome back feeling when they hear the wonderful voice of Richie Furay with a little help from his friends like Jeff Hanna from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Timothy B. Schmidt lends a hand on My Heart Is Cryin' Tonight. One of those rich ballads that Richie is famous for, with lyrics that match the emotion of the vocal artistry of both singers "I know a love that is strong, will somehow carry on, But My Heart Is Cryin' Tonight."
Neil Young and Kenny Loggins chime in on the Buffalo Springfield/ Poco revisit of Kind Woman. After a recent tour with Linda Rondstadt, this song was truly one of the biggest crowd pleasers. This 2007 treatment has all of the qualities you would expect from this classic and more.
Another strong track, Callin' Out Your Name features Stephen Stills and Richie's daughter Jesse Furay. This is classic Furay. No matter which way you look at it, a hook-laden song, masterful harmonies and number one musicianship. This will be one of your favorite go to songs once you add this album to your collection.
The Heartbeat Of Love is Richie's first rock album in almost two decades. This is a definitive "worth waiting for" album, and it shows full circle his career in song with some of his most notable and famous friends from the past four decades. Enjoy!

Great to Hear Richie Again.......2007-06-20
As the title states, most songs revolve around the subject of "love", but musically it is great listening and Richie sounds as good as ever. You would think this was from early Poco. It is a shame music like this does not receive more airplay.

Amazon.com essential recording
Buddy Holly-meets-Roxy Music was the hook-filled formula Ric Ocasek and crew fell into on their classic 1978 debut--and it's one they continued to milk throughout the first half of the '80s. As in any formula, it seemed to dilute a bit with each subsequent release. Heartbeat City, however, saw the Cars shaking things up a bit and scoring three hit singles in the process. "You Might Think" does have that same old Cars pop sound, but "Magic" and especially "Drive" sound unlike anything the Boston band had previously recorded. The album proved to be a rebirth of sorts...as well as a final hurrah. Following their Greatest Hits package, the Cars would fade away following 1987's Door to Door. --Bill Holdship
Customer Reviews:
Driven to Excellence.......2007-07-07
The fifth studio release by the Cars' is Heartbeat City a CD filled with infectious songs and one that elevated the band to a new found glory thanks to some sharp, fun, intellectual, goofy and, most importantly, creative videos in the height of MTV's importance in pop culture.
This album spread the Cars' appeal to a new audience but it also came with a degree of spoil, perhaps putting the band in an unwanted position of notoriety one which was difficult to uphold for future releases.
The CD was produced by famed producer Mutt Lange and it exposed the use, maybe overuse, of a drum machine by drummer David Robinson; however, the Cars pulled off the trick of satisfying long time fans while developing a larger audience through catchy pop tracks.
A track-by-track review:
1. The CD starts off with "Hello Again" a track probably more famous for its extensive video presence with the likes of Andy Warhol and a group of purposely used freaky people. Ric Ocasek does lead vocals. The song is one of the album's best and was representative of the imagery of the time. It holds up today.
2. "Looking for Love" is an overlooked tune. While it isn't the pop sensation of others on the disc, it is a song that deserves merit for if nothing else Ocasek's unique vocal style.
3. "Magic" is another tune that congers up images of the video played many times on MTV. Ocasek walks on water and a gang of misfits fawn over his presence. The song instantly induces memories of summertime pleasures.
4. "Drive" is perhaps the signature vocal of Benjamin Orr. The man never got his due as one of rock's all-time great vocalists. Here is a perfect illustration of a phenomenal voice and a chilling reminder of a lost treasure. True fans will never forget him. The video starred Ocasek's future wife, model Paulina Porizkova, and highlighted the typical ups and downs of a relationship. Paulina's sexiness is ideal.
5. "Stranger Eyes" is another song that merits better appreciation than what history has written. Orr delivers the vocals and the song is a winner.
6. "You Might Think" is in a group of songs that defines the music of the new wave era of the 1980s. The video, an award-winner, is comical and shows the mystery that is Ocasek in an extroverted way. One of the band's all-time best songs. "You might think I'm crazy but all I want is you." What an obvious line but what a splendid one, too. Brevity is the soul of wit.
7. "It's Not the Night" is arguably the big rocker on this release. Orr again shows his vocals have no limitations. He evokes memories of "Cruiser" from Shake it Up. Crank this up.
8. "Why Can't I Have You" was a deep album cut at the time. It is melancholy and the cries of desperation in Ric's voice can be heard throughout. In one sense a soft song but in another so powerful.
9. "I Refuse" wallows in mediocrity but it does have some attraction. Ocasek does a good job here painting a picture of someone who is tired of being used by his mate and who refuses to be part of any charade.
10. "Heartbeat City" is the title track and is a cool, if not smashing, entry. It is a tune that will create an image of how one person can make another smile with just her (Jacki) presence. A really solid song. This is one of those tracks that never gets tired.
Heartbeat City.......2007-01-17
The Cars was a interesting band. They got played on classic rock stations but they was a new wave band even the police had a hard time getting played on stations at the time. That being said when this album came out in 1984 it sounded different, clean yet a little rough, new wave yet a little hard around the edge which is why I loved this album. This is one of very few album that is flawless. Years later (around 1998) Ric said this was a experimental album and it was the first album ever that was recorded through computer with synth and drum machine which make it even more better album because it doesn't sound cold like other new wave bands at the time. I highly recommand this album to anyone that want a classic new wave album.
Automatic Loop-de-Loop: Greatest of the Great.......2007-01-13
The Cars, in a word, are unbelievable. As popular as they were in their heyday of the '80s, the quality and sophistication of their music remains largely unappreciated. Heartbeat City is one of the finest albums of the period, and of New Wave as a genre altogether. It brought together and for the first time to the mainstream, a perfect interaction of rock and electronica, in such an understated way that the very notion passed unnoticed. The title track itself is emblematic of great soundscape-driven pop/rock, and I don't have enough time to write about all the other tracks in the album. Suffice it to say that, musically, aesthetically and artistically this was a high watermark for the band and New Wave in the Pop world. Its follow-up album, Door to Door, was equally good and largely misunderstood, and I would recommend it as much as this one.
We're not in Kansas anymore.......2006-11-03
I remember when You Might Think, the first song off the Cars' new album made itself known - it was upbeat, but completely overshadowed by its groundbreaking video that set new standards. The problem with that was, it was easy for the video to distract from the fact that the song was a bit fluffy, for a group that made its name by vowing "there's no mistaking rock and roll". By now the Cars sound has lost just about everything that made it unique, and gone from having lots of synths to having TOO MANY. It still has Rik Ocasek's odd voice, but instead of amusing, wry humor, the emphasis is slickness and a certain smugness. This album has a terrifically produced sound, and there are some well written songs, like 'Hello Again' (which contains a lot of the old Cars humor) and the title track. Songs like 'Magic' and 'You Might Think' are instantly catchy, but don't really merit repeated listenings. 'Drive' is a nice ballad, it's nothing TOO amazing but it avoids a lot of the traps that made other ballads of the time (like Chicago/Peter Cetera's) so bad. This isn't bad music by any means, like the Moody Blues' Other Side of Life, it is elegantly put together, but the soul's gone. I guess the guys just got older and weren't as peppy and intense into the music anymore. And one last thing, the album cover is pretty terrible. What a confusing jumble of car parts and body parts (and interestingly, a two-star rating). Their other covers you could UNDERSTAND what you were looking at.
One Of The top Recordings Of The 80's........2006-09-25
Owning every Cars CD and solo recording by this group I feel quite familiar with the Cars music. I've listened to ALL of them countless times, but always find myself back in "Heartbeat City". What a CD!!!! When the album was first released unbeknownst to me I heard Drive and Magic on the radio, and immediately went out and purchased the cassette. To this day the CD still remains in my changer. This music defined so many things for me back then. I feel this CD help change the direction on music at the time. All they're previous releases led up to this. It was the pinnacle of their music. Important yet dreamy at times, dark and light, sad yet compelling. An absolutely fantastic recording that I cannot say enough good things about. On another note I've listened to the New Cars release that just came out..........Todd is great in his own right but this is nothing more than a $$ scheme. I can't help but laugh every time I hear his voice on a favorite Cars song. Give me a break. Ric, are you listening? There is one and only will be one lead singer for the Cars, ever.

My twins love this.......2007-04-23
One of my twin son's was very fussy. We found this CD greatly helped him settle down to go to sleep. Now it is part of our evening routine. The boys hear this music and their eyes immediately start to droop. I myself have taken many catnaps to this CD. Between this CD and a noise machine, our boys are sleeping through the night!
Your best shot for easing fussiness!.......2006-09-21
These songs are great for helping to calm a fussy baby. I used both volumes with my newborns (even before they were born to get them familiar with the songs). In combination with other methods (bathing, rocking, massaging, removing stimuli, etc.), it is just another way to help soothe your baby. I found the songs soothing for me as well. They are very monotone, slow, and rythmic. The heartbeat sound carries through all the songs and even plays through the song transitions. If nothing else, it is a good "sleepy-time" routine for your baby to cue in that it is time to sleep. I LOVE to give this set for baby shower gifts!
love it.......2006-03-25
I bought this when my daughter was one and still not sleeping through the night. This CD was a blessing. We put it on when she went to sleep and hit the button so it would play all night. As long as it was playing, she would sleep all night. On those nights we forgot to have it play over and over, she woke up. I just bought this as a gift for my sister in law, as they are expecting their first in a few weeks. I sure wish I had this long before my daughter turned one. But thankful for the sleep it gave me finally.
Great cd worked great oo.......2005-11-27
I was given this has a gift from WIC, Itried ti the first night within two weeks my baby was sleeping through the night shes now 14 months old and she goes to bed at 7pm and stays alsleep till 9 am, it was great when I switched her frim breast to bottle ti really calmed her down,,,
Very Useful Product.......2005-10-12
The music is a little strange to listen to initially as it has quite a strong heartbeat underneath it, but it is quite relaxing once you get used it. We have used this music for both our little ones. Our little Girl slept through after 2 weeks and it definately helped her calm down before, and during the night. We have bought the CD for all our friends when their babies have been born, and they all say the same.

You have to listen closely..........2005-05-04
Yes, the songs are all the same tempo, and they all start with a variant on the classic reggae drum roll. But in order to truly appreciate this album, you have to listen closely--not only to the lyrics, but to the inflection of the voices. This album is, in a way, sad; the songs are wrought with a sense of pain that other albums don't convey. Listen to the WAY that "Black Man's Strain" is sung, and the pain in his voice when he sings the word "Why..?" Or the sweetness in his voice in Reason Time, when he is pleading with others to just "walk and talk" so as to reason with each other rather than fight.
This album is filled with subtleties like this that make it unique and a pleasure to listen to. And we can all feel and learn something if we listen close enough.

An Instant Classic.......2007-06-13
I don't even remember the last time I loved an album so much that I had to keep listening to it over and over. Well, that is definitely the case with this wonderful effort from Richie Furay, family, and friends. Kind Woman and Let's Dance Tonight have now received their definitive treatment. Any other versions will need to be compared to the recordings on this CD. Hearing Jesse Furay Lynch harmonize with her father is a special treat that only enhances my enjoyment. There is not a bad song out of the twelve recorded here, and the title song, along with You And Me will probably be stolen and covered by other artists, as could many of the songs. Every time I listen I hear something else that delights me. You will hear Timothy B. Schmit's lovely harmonies on My Heart is Crying, Stephen Stills on Calling Out Your Name, and a number of other singers and musicians who add to the joy of this project. Did I mention I love it? Anyone who loves the music of Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Richie should give it a listen. An easy no-brainer to give it five stars.
Back in the world of Country rock.......2007-05-07
This is a must for everyone who loved Buffalo Springfield & Poco. Richie Furay is back on the non-christian music scene and he shows his abilities to sing, to write good songs and to bring people together. An extra star for the beautiful package - undoubtedly a cd for collectors!
very pleasantly surprised!.......2007-03-24
Being a huge Buffalo Springfield fan, but a lukewarm richey furay fan,boy was i surprised! this is absolutely the best thing he has ever done. the remake of kind woman in superb!. if you like country rock with update sense, this is a can't miss cd. great hooks, great guest musicians, this cd has it all.
One of the best of the year!.......2007-02-12
I am a fan of Buffalo Springfield & Poco, but never heard any of Richie's solo albums till now. Pure country-rock with guest appearances from his former bandmates make this album one of the best of the year...any year. Richie sounds great and the songs are top-notch. Anything on this CD could blow away any song on the country charts right now. Even the cd booklet is
steller...great looking with lots of info & lyrics. Well worth the Amazon price!
Bringing The Past to the Present.......2007-02-08
I'm a long time fan of Richie's. I designed album covers for Columbia-Epic Records in the late 60's and have followed Richie all throughout the POCO years. As head of the Elektra /Asylum Art Department I had a chance to work with Richie and designed his solo album cover for , "I Still Have Dreams". On "Heartbeat of Love" Richies voice sounds like mellowed honey. He sure has improved with age. This is truely a great album. "The perfect Richie". If you loved, THE BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, POCO or any of Richies former solo albums, you're in for the "Richie Furay Masterpiece". All the past blended into today, Wow! My hats off for the excellent art direction. The package is a knock out. Five stars plus for the Music and Art.

Jah Man! Good Ganja!.......2007-04-17
I ordered this looking for old school reggae and some of it is & some isn't. The stuff that is rocks. The other stuff I skip. I'll end up ripp'n the disc & downloading my favs. It was a great deal for the price & the large number of tracks, at least 20. I've been to jamaica twice & this disc brings back some great memories. Bob Marley is and will always be the king of Reggae. No Contest! Great tunes, Ice cold Red Stripe & . . . well you know. Party on mon! Ciao
A rather comprehensive compilation, Top Star.......2005-03-04
This is similar, in fact, to some compilations but it has a very generous 24 tracks, usually not found on those others such as something by the Ethiopians, "Train to Skaville" or even Althea and Donna's "Uptown Top Ranking" where I read in other parts of amazon, this song receives glorious reviews.
"Pass the Dutchie" people say, pop, but I spent extensive amounts of time in the 3rd world when this came out, "'Ow does it feel when you got no food", it hits the nail on the head, a bit poppy with a higher consciousness.
And any collection is heralded by me, if it includes Millie Small's "My boy lollipop", with unrest & strife in the USA; it still amazes me, this is SKA and it peaked out at #2 on the billboard charts, #1 in the UK; such a fantastic beat, easy going SKA trumpet, SKA on American AM in 1964... an alltime top of the pops great...recorded in London, very polished production, sold over seven million copies worldwide, originally an R & B hit for Barbie Gaye in 1957. that harmonica is purported to be none other than Rod Stewart; Chris Blackwell later promoted Bob Marley in part thanks to the funds that this single brought in for his fledgling company or something like that; copies of the single and extended play discs are now collectors albums, I wonder if she ever made it to any of those dance shows they had back then.
If some of the more recent classics are included, Inner City's well known "Bad Boys" and the great partying song "Montego Bay" by Freddie Notes and the Rudies let alone Ziggy and the Melody Makers fine "Tomorrow People", then Big Mountain's contributions and others should make the grade;
Tosh and Marley's ol' time Wailers songs, "Soul Shakedown" and "Lively Up Yourself" are excellent additions to this collection. That's more Ska like, those who know Bob Marley's Tuff Gong songstry are in for a nice surprise.
In the past, I had to hunt down Toots and the Maytals "Pressure Drop", classic, Clash & Robt. Palmer did it, but it's on this compilation as well as some other perenial classics, "By the rivers of Babylon", "Israelites", Crown Prince of Reggae Dennis Brown sings on this as well as Jimmy Cliff's Wonderful "Wonderful World, Beautiful People" too and of course, on of my personal favourites Third World, what a positive message they have and still at it. A well rounded collection. Often I don't find renditions of American hits to my taste, but Greyhound doing 3 Dog Night's "Black and White" becmes a grand civil rights statement; track 22 from 1974, "Hurt so good", check it out, the opening sounds much like the opening of Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey"; If you don't already have these songs, this one is very well done.
Spotty, hit-driven collection.......2002-08-30
This is a nice, if spotty, anthology of reggae (and related) tracks 1964 or so into the 1980s. Most of these were significant hits and are easily found on a number of collections, but not so easily found all together in one place. Essential listening : tracks by Jimmy Cliff, Johnny Nash, Desmond Dekker, Dave and Ansel Collins, Melodians, Toots and the Maytals. Disposable : Big Mountain, Musical Youth. Not in the same league as "The Harder They Come", one of the great albums of all time, but a nice sampler if your interest in the genre only goes as far as the hits.

Album Description
An actual human heartbeat is the rhythm (drums) of special arrangements of traditional Christian children's songs. The songs on this CD actually stop babies from crying, soothe symptoms of colic, and help parents get their children to sleep through the night - without having to let them cry! Each CD includes a Parents Guide - An Introduction to Heartbeat Musical Therapy booklet with common-sense suggestions for bedtime routines that work. Satisfaction is guaranteed or the manufacturer will refund the full purchase price direct to the consumer. These recordings are used medically in over 8,000 hospitals and special care centers to calm listeners, induce sleep and assist in healing. They are also used in over 1 million homes to help establish regular healthy sleep schedules for children and to help families get the rest they need. They are effective for listeners of all ages - from prenatal to elderly - but are recommended for prenatal to 6 years. They can be started at any age. They can even be used during the last trimester of pregnancy to help both mom and baby get a good night's sleep.
Customer Reviews:
Great soothing music.......2007-05-14
My 2 week old Grandson wasn't sleeping soundly so I went seaching for some help for him (and his parents!) I chose this heartbeat cd based on other reviewer's comments and wasn't dissappointed. The first time I listened to it I wondered if the heartbeat part would be annoying for his parents to listen to but it quickly seems to fade into your subconcious and you can just enjoy the simple beauty of the songs. And the best part is that it seems to help him settle down into a deeper, less restless sleep! I have since purchased it for several baby shower gifts. My favorite songs are "Into My Heart" and Down in My Heart".
There are so many new things on the market since when I was a new Mom that it's hard to know just what is helpful and what isn't. That's why the reviews are so helpful! A couple other baby items that are somewhat new on the market that make wonderful gifts are: the CD and book: "The Happiest Baby on the Block", the "Close and Secure Sleeper" and the Bumbo seat (a must have!)
This Is Great!.......2007-04-30
I originally received this a gift for my daughter (she's now 8yrs old). I used it to help her get sleep which was a tough job. It helped tremendously. It is such soothing music, I used to fall asleep with her. I loved it! I now just purchased this for as a Baby Shower Gift. This is great CD to have for babies...You will not be disappointed with it.
Jesus Loves Me Heartbeat CD.......2006-11-14
Having previously purchased a "Mommy Heartbeat Bear Sleep Aid" for my daughter's baby and finding the heartbeat worked fantastic in calming her, I wanted to try this CD also as it also had the real mother's heartbeat along with Christian songs. I wasn't disappointed. It worked great. Very relaxing for both baby and me. When watching my granddaughter I play it the whole time she is at my house. I find that there is a difference if I forget to turn it on. Especially when I try to put her to sleep. My grandson is even starting to learn the lyrics. This would make a great gift for a new mom and the grandmas too.
Must Have!.......2005-10-27
Before this CD, my 7-week-old baby would take 20 mins to get to sleep and then only stay asleep for 45 mins before waking up fussy. Ever since we started using this CD she goes to sleep easily (about 5 mins) and sleeps about 2 hours for naps and 5-6 hours at night. This is the best thing I have purchased for my baby. It's worth the 1-day shipping!
Great CD!.......2004-09-25
My 3 year old and 8 month old love this CD! They listen to it to fall asleep for naps or for bedtime. We even played it in the middle of the night when our 8 month old used to wake up many times a night, and it helped a lot! We play it after our 3 year old has a nightmare and it helps calm her down and even fall back asleep quickly (and she doesn't have another nightmare after that for a while)! We love it! It's Christian, too, so that makes it even better!

It's not often that nearly four-decade-old music manages to be both seminal and cutting edge, but these 32 hits from Jamaica's--and the world's--greatest ska outfit are just that. Early ska blended R&B shuffle with mento (Jamaican calypso)--Jamaica's antic response to stateside boogie-woogie. Don Drummond, Roland Alphonso, the late Tommy McCook, and the other Skatalites injected the swinging sophistication of jazz-honed chops, and this set captures the band just starting out, during their '64-'65 tenure at Coxsonne Dodd's legendary Studio One. Ska's buoyant appeal has never died, merely gone underground now and then, and it's raging at an all-time high today. Foundation Ska shows why the Skatalites still dominate. Every track's a burnished gem, and fans will get extra kicks from the band's backing turns for Bob Marley and the Wailers ("Simmer Down") and Stranger Cole and Ken Boothe's "World's Fair" duet. --Elena Oumano

Foundation is right!.......2007-07-06
The title fits. This was the birth of reggae with Jamaica's Jazz and R&B supergroup the Skatalites in the 1960s. Hear them back up Bob Marley dn the Wailer's first record "Smmer Down" and you will do just the opposite. Enjoy "Exodis," Cool Smoke," and their lovely rendition of "I Should Have Known Better" (aka Independent Anniversary Ska).
But the real bonus here is the late great genius Don Drummond's wailing trombone in "Eastern Standard Time." Why more people in the uSA aren't familiar with this is a mystery. But in either case, this is one of those happy Cds that is recommended listening after a hard day.
Skatalitesmyfire.......2007-01-10
This is an excellent collection of songs. Can't really find a single poor track on either CD. These guys somehow combine a mastery of their craft with the primeval feeling of true ska. If I was to subdivide the many flavors of ska even further, I'd say this was "Big Band Ska" - a category the Skatalites own. While I'm generally not too keen on instrumentals, this album is way too good to pass up - and with 32 songs is also a bargain. Can't imagine a lover of ANY type of ska not enjoying this... 4.5 stars.
Ska-tastic..........2006-09-01
I caught a whiff of this great music late at night on the left side of the dial where the public sponsored stations all hang out in a small, little huddle trying to remain fiercely independent. Most of these stations play incredible music of all types and this was one of the records the midnight DJ spun....
Oh, man...this is great stuff. I've always liked ska music, mostly English Beat and General Public, but that music almost sounds contrived compared to the "real thing"...
This music has a jumpy, happy beat...I mean, if you can make the song "Exodus" into something you want to dance to, you're onto something.
I have very eclectic tastes ranging from the conventional to the obscure. To me, music has the obligation to move the soul. If the soul is happy then the feet will be happy and if the feet are happy the hips will be happy until pretty soon your happy soul will unite with your happy body and you have what we call dancing and as Nietzche said in one of his essays, "I can only believe in a God that dances..."
Well, God does dance, friends, so let the spirit/the soul within you come out to play and buy this fantastic collection. It's a little pricey for something that's over 40 years old, but it still beats a lot of the stuff that's currently "out there".
Right.......2006-01-23
I agree with Skibz here. The Bosstones, RBF, LTJ, FIF (ok, enough acronyms), et al. are not traditional ska - they are their own thing. There's connections and influences, but stepping up onto your pedestal and proclaiming that the heathens listening to these lowly recent bands should listen to 'real' ska does not make any sense. If someone likes ska-punk, they might absolutely hate traditional ska, and your admonitions will do nothing to change that. They'll just be given one more reason not to at least try to like it. If someone disdainfully reproached you for your musical interests, would that really inspire you to look into that person's musical interests?
Of course, the reviewer comparing them to the Bosstones was most likely just trying to stir up crap, and has succeeded. There's more than a few people doing that on here. Don't take every review as if the person was perfectly serious: I think there is great humor in such facetious posts, as long as you are able to see it for what it is.
Now for another realization. Some of the first few bands I got into were Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish. The Bosstones were, and still are, one of my favorite bands. They are exceptional at what they do. I *also* like more traditional ska, but I've had enough with the naming of names, and trying to one-up everyone by being more 'pure' in their selection. I don't feel it's any more 'real' - it's a totally different style, for a totally different mood.
Anyway. The Skatalites are great. Goodnight.

More entertaining than Mike Young's (Chicago IL.) reviews........2005-09-23
If your looking for the Skatalites then you know what to expect...buy this! If you've stumbled accross this album because your interested in the roots of various musical gendres then you have found this one for a reason...buy it! I also HIGHLY recomend checking out Mike Youngs other reviews, very entertaining.
Of particular note are Mr. Youngs reviews of -
The movie Showtime, quote: "DeNiro's best movie"
The Fleet Adult Enema Twin Pack, quote: "The two pack is an idea whose time has come."
The movie Air Bud, quote: "Disturbingly relevant in today's post 9/11 climate" (He's down with Air Bud 1 and 3 but not 2)
The Skatalites Ball of Fire album, quote: "Ska, which was primarily invented by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Operation Ivy has gotten so big that they're now going back and calling earlier bands, like the Skatalites, "Ska" as well." (read the whole review and try not to make a HUH?!?!?! face)
I urge you to take time out to peruse all of Mr. Youngs reviews, nuggets of wisdom in each and every one of them.

Customer Reviews:
Dana's songs are perfect.......2007-08-01
I love this rosary CD and their companion CD "The Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary" as well. I have owned them for several years and My husband and I listen most evenings. We find it so calming. I never tire of it. Fr. Scallon's meditations relate the mysteries to our lives. Dana's lyrics/music between the mystery's, and the background music as they say the prayers are just perfect. "Mary teach us to pray" "God from God, light from light" "Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with the fire of your love," Dana sings. I ordered their CD called "Mother of Mercy, A Rosary of Healing" today.
The best rosary CD!!.......2007-05-22
The is my favorite rosary CD of all time!! It is so peaceful to recite the rosary to the calming voices of Dana and Fr. Scallon. You can feel the power of the God entering into the deep state of prayer that the CD helps put you in. It's like no other!
Beautiful!.......2007-03-04
This is the most peace-filled recitation of the Rosary I've heard. It will bless you!
