A beautiful, soulful collaboration.......2004-10-27

"Simpatico" is the one word that I think best describes Willie Nelson and Kimmie Rhodes, two Texas crooners whose voices and musical inclinations meld with startling beauty. Either singer can crest to the top or fall back into humble harmonies in this set of ten fine duets. The songs are mostly Kimmie Rhodes originals, though Willie contributes two ("Valentine" and "It Will Always Be") with the remainder of the set coming from sources as disparate as Tom Waits (the wrote title track), Rodney Crowell and Rhodes' partner, Joe Gracey. For folks who like understated, well-crafted American music with deep, deep roots and perfect emotional pitch, this record is the real deal. Highly recommended!

I know Aaron and he has played for me before on his piano and I can assure you all he is brilliant. His music is classical yet new and no doubt will stand the test of time. Honestly, he is brilliant, tallented, humble and honest. He has to be the most amazing guy I know!!

A New New Age Classic.......2003-12-05

I love this CD!!!!! In the classic new age style of music from Windham Hill, Aaron Luttrell's "Picture Frame" is a journey back in time and into the future. It really is like Aaron has put his thoughts and memories into a nice picture frame for all to see and feel. Check out "Shakuhachi Nights". Definitely a new age classic track.

He looks pretty young in the picture on the inside of the CD. What I can't figure out is how this "kid" has such a "seasoned" sound. The piano and keyboard playing is great, and the arrangements and orchestration are exactly what you hear on the radio on "Smooth Jazz" stations. It's great music for meditation or as dinner music. I can also imagine it used for commercials and film. Really fine stuff and even a bit romantic. He may be young, but I think Aaron has an "old soul".

I think we'll be hearing some great things from Aaron Luttrell in the next few years. He's really captured some great feelings and emotions in this CD. Can't wait for the next album.

I love this album! It completly captures your mind and makes the world around you feel so calm and relaxed. I put the album on when I am at home and get lost in the amazing sounds that have been put together so beautifully. I would definetly recommend this album to anyone and everyone!

WOW! After taking the advice from a good friend, I bought Aaron's debut CD. Aaron Luttrell's music is not only deeply personable; it is a fresh, new outlook on the instrumental world of music. Every note that is played, like in Jackie's Song [my favourite!], is drenched with emotion and carries with it the ability to calm the nerve-racking mill of the day. I recommend "Picture Frame" to anyone in need of fresh, eclectic sounds that soothe the senses. "Picture Frame" is a must have!
