Happened to buy this CD a week before my Dad (raised in Taiwan) passed away, then found it perfect as background music during his memorial service. The tone of the music is calm and peaceful so it's perfect for setting a reflective, reminiscent, atmosphere. I listened to the clips from "Chinese Massage for Heart", and they sound more joyful in tone.
Disappointed.......2003-08-23
After purchasing Chinese Masagge for the Heart (see my 5 star review of that CD) I decided to invest in this one. I suppose it would be hard to top the beauty and quality of that CD and so I wasn't as pleased with this one naturally. There weren't any really memorable melodies that gripped me as in the previously mentioned CD, but I did find as I listened to it that it grew on me a little. If you can only get one, get Chinese Message for the Heart.
