Utterly Talented Beyond Belief!.......2006-07-08

It's a crying shame there are no samples for everyone to listen to. Harvey Reid is a gem! I've been to one of his performances, bought a few CD's while I was there...now favorites in my collection. He is a master with numerous stringed instruments and has a lovely voice. You can tell he "feels" his music. He also duos with his wife Joyce Anderson who is outstanding in her singing and violin/fiddle...with or without him. I lucked out when I came across Harvey Reid's music. Somehow, someway...find a way to listen to his music!

I got an email stating that the supply for this was ended, or something like that, and that my card would be credited. I don't know if this actually happened, but I think it is dreadfully irresponsible to advertise for a product which is unavailable.

Let's be clear about this: If you usually feel nourished by sitar and tabla music AND you enjoy rock 'n' roll, it's time to add *Fruit on the Vine* to your collection. It's playful, joyful, mesmerizing, intoxicating and exotically sexy. Solidly written & arranged music and intriguing lyrics. I've rated this a 4 only because I'm addicted to the faster-paced pieces and don't always play the CD straight through. Otherwise, it's the next-best thing to catching a COB live performance....Chris Rael's vocals pull out all the stops and Deep Singh's tabla playing is astonishing.

This is the best COB CD that I have ever listened to (Yes, there are previous ones which you can buy if you visit their web site). I strongly recommend "I Swim in You", "Fruit on the Vine", "Skin of the Ocean" and the incredible "Night Logic". First time I put the CD on, I believe I listened to "Night Logic" for about 10 times, "Skin of the Ocean" for about 8-9 times. I think that everyone is going to hear a lot about Church of Betty in the near future. Definitely Buy This CD!
