Editorial Reviews
Don Richmond in the Valley Courier, Dec. 13, 2000
"a voice of astonishing breadth, range, and power, a rich and compelling alto warmth to a stratospheric soprano's brilliant sparkle"

Product Description
“Dancing with the Divine” is a collection of original blues, folk, gospel, and spiritual music that expresses the love and joy of our oneness with God. Each song expresses how we are never separate from God and how this incredible Love is always with us.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Meryl Ennis shares her experiences from her 1999 trip to India with Sai Baba through her songs. From a low down and dirty spiritual blues tune stating “I am Divine Love” to the stirring devotional song asking ‘How do I feel when I see you walk by' describing Sai Baba's darshan, she expresses what is in her heart. Each song voices how the Love of God is always with us. In the title song, “Dancing With The Divine,” she exclaims ‘Let life try to rock and roll me, I'm Dancing With The Divine.' The song “I was on a Runaway Train” describes how life before consciously knowing God was like being on a runaway train. “Them Separation Blues” recalls a life of feeling abandoned and separate, with a ‘pool of sadness that touched the depth of my soul'. When realizing that we are always one, those separation blues are ‘over and they're done!'

Meryl, with her wide vocal range and styles, is equally at home with belting out the blues, rich soaring melodies, gospel Hallelujahs and captivating folk songs. Each song has its own rich arrangement of sounds with a variety of instruments. This mixture includes folk guitar, mandolin, keyboard, violin, weissenborn slide and nylon string guitar, dobro, harmonica, bass, and drums.

While the CD is dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the music of “Dancing With The Divine” is appealing to anyone who believes in the Love of God.
