I wasn't expecting to have 4 discs for this price, and the music is a quality selection of film music, giving a good scope of the genre, and a very listenable transfer.

This collection is bound to capture your heart and evoke a tin ear on successive tracks. I found much to like and some duds - easy to skip over.

For the price, this CD is a great bargain. The musical selections, as you might expect, are mixed in quality ranging from extraordinary to so so, the balance being worthwhile and interesting. Sonically the CD is excellent.

I have been listening to great scores for many years and this collection is truly inspirational in so far as the choice of different scores takes you on a journey of listening pleasure matched by only a few collections.The price is incredibly reasonable for hours of listening pleasure. Don't pass this one up

This album and its title song are a bountiful blend of lyric and line. A beautiful instrumental that takes the listener to a peaceful Sunday afternoon. The musicality of the piece is calming and harmonious allowing a tranquil moment, yet there is a complexity in the melody that makes one anxious for more. A wonderful find.

Songs about livin' in the US of A!!! "This One's for You" covers all the things that make life worth living: evil x-girlfriends, credit card bills, D-I-V-O-R-C-E, dead landlords, the IRS... You know what it's like, you've been there before.
So, give it a listen, buy it, and stick it in your CD player and TURN IT UP!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and the songs are well written, well produced, and have plenty of rockin' guitar on 'em too!!!

One Shot Deal's debut CD: Great indie rock w/ a '70s Flavor.......2003-07-15

The debut CD from "One Shot Deal", titled "This One's For You", is a slightly dark, somewhat sarcastic take on relationships - between lovers, friends, and Good Old Uncle Sam...
Musically, the material definitely shows Classic Rock (read Foghat, Led Zep, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc.) influences; with three-part vocal harmonies and plenty of SMOKIN' elctric guitar!!!
Angry anthems, "This One's for You" and "No Way to Live", along with the straight ahead rocker, "Cold Hearted Woman", tell of bruised egos and broken hearts (along with empty wallets).
But there is always hope, as the CD ends with "I Know You love Me" - ala Skynyrd/38 Special.
If you like Classic Rock, or rockin' songs that you can tap your toes to, BUY THIS CD!!!
