Slow World by Liquid Mind.......2007-05-13

This is an excellent music CD for deep relaxation, massage, acupuncture treatments, yoga, meditation, or getting the baby to sleep. It maintains a consistent "zoney" quality from beginning to end with no tempo change, no surprises. The instrument is a synthesized keyboard and the chord progressions take long gradual steps up and down. That's it.

A follow up to Liquid Mind #1; Ambience Minimus (which is a wonderful CD). Slow World follows the same tonal layered formula of #1, but is benign and energyless. It's linear evolution is similar, but it's field of space is shallow. Leaving the listener bored. I agree with "spotlight reviewer" Mr. King. It will put you to sleep. But thats not what good ambient music is intended for. The intent of a good slow book is not to put you to sleep, but rather to give you something to dwell upon. Ambient music also gives you a field allowing your consciousness to wander.

Decompression for everyone.......2006-03-03

This is a very helpful CD for those of us prone to stress, and those who aren't. The only drawback is I wish it were longer.

Great for Massage.......2005-11-03

I have many many CD's which I play while I do massage. I have never had so many people comment on a particular CD as I have this one. It's very calming, and seems to put people more deeply into a relaxed state. There is far less talking by my more talkative clients when this CD plays.

Love this series.......2006-07-30

I have purchased a lot of the yogafit cd's and this slow flow series is the best! The beats are smooth and very tribal all at the same time. I use them in almost every class and play them a lot at home for my own personal practice.

Empowering Sounds for a Deeper Meditation Experience.......2004-10-29

While most yoga music contains popular New Age melodies and soft, light-hearted, almost fabricated attempts, this is a real winner. I am an instructor of Qi Gong at Furman University and use this in my more advanced classes. The most powerful aspect, perhaps, lies in the depth of the music and in its resonating power. I highly recommend you try it out as well for yourself.

Ambiance is sardonic and dark.......2003-09-13

I was surprised by the the music on this CD, the title "Slow Music for Yoga" gave me the impression that this would be gentle and relaxing music. The two first tracks are dark and dismal. The ambiance, if you like the sort of feeling is oppressive and foreboding. This was not the sort of setting I wished to experience in a yoga practice.

excellent compilation.......2002-06-12

This album is an excellent compilation of very relaxing and soothing music not just to accompany your yoga practice or meditation but also to listen to and "let go" of your daily tensions. I've used it in my everyday yoga practice and it sure puts me in a meditative mood and helps me keep concentrated on the flow of postures and breath coordination; but I also listen to it while driving, on my way to work, and sure takes the stress away out of being stuck in rush hour traffic.
As the title implies, this is a compilation of slow music, I rather called "inspirational", and is not only for yoga but is excellent as stress relieve ambient music in your home or office. I even played when I've a few friends over for drinks and conversation and creates a great background music.

These 12 beautiful and soulful acoustic guitar solos skillfully blend Celtic, Folk and New Age. The music was largely written in and inspired by the majestic forests of the Pacific Northwest, and guitarist Alex de Grassi likens the CD to "a walk in the woods". Gorgeous Music That Just Makes You Feel Good.......2005-10-07

The acoustic guitar music on this album is simply beautiful. It's calming yet joyful (in a quiet way, if you can imagine quiet joy). It's currently the CD that I put on when I can't decide quite what I'm in the mood for, and it always seems to turn out to be the right choice, whether for working to, getting a backrub to, or just chilling out. I gather Ms. Rose composed all the tunes herself; if so, she is seriously talented as a composer as well as a guitar player. And her playing is lovely -- really clean and accomplished and heartfelt at the same time. The production really brings this out -- as a reviewer below wrote, the music shows a Celtic influence and could be described as sounding a bit like some of the better New Age instrumental albums, in that it's all instrumental and extremely relaxing; but calling it New Agey would be a disservice to it, because it's not at all overproduced or syrupy. Just beautiful, calming acoustic guitar music.

The Redwood Sidthe = Serenity..........2002-03-13

An astoundingly beautiful blend of gentle guitar without the overblown and overdone Celtic or New Age excess. Simple and sweet, yet filled with heart and obvious talent. I keep the CD on "continuous play" at work and find myself far more creative and relaxed. "Across the Pond" is exquisite and every track has the refreshing and rejuvenating quality of a misty Redwoods morning. Exceptional!

Wonderful music.......2001-06-11

I have heard Clarelynn played live several times. She is absolutely marvelous. When she played at one of our conferences, everyone is begging for more. Many people asked to buy the CD but she didn't bring any CD. Her music still stays in my head after hearing her played, and it calms me down immediately. I can go on forever so judge for yourselve.

Meditative focus.......2001-05-23

I have listened to Clarelynn's music for a number of years now and have found it meditative and relaxing. Whether you want to relax in a hot tub with a glass of red wine or just need music for thinking space, Redwood Sidthe is perfect.

I am having a baby in a month and will use this CD to bring my baby into the world - couldn't think of a better introduction to this planet.

Grounding Music for the Soul.......2001-05-15

Ever find yourself in a contemplative mood and find all that media on the radio too intrusive and abrasive? The Redwood Sidthe is a grassroots, self-written, serious guitar album filled with music that both encompasses texture, depth and yet provides you space. It may be just what we need.

The music on this album, ranging from the imagery of a full moon reflection off "Lake Oswego" (Track 7) to the spacious "Offering" (Track 12), is breathtakingly beautiful. And when compared to the "in-your-face" culture that we are all exposed to (at least in SF), it's almost hard to believe something like this is out there and available. So much so that at the end of the work day, as you sit down and let the air out, it's almost a good thing to spin this disc.

I first heard Clarelynn Rose guitar first hand while in Ukiah, California in March 2001. I bought a copy of this CD and lent it to my friends. One of whom is 7 months pregnant. First time she heard it, she said "Wow, this music is so relaxing. I am seriously planning to use this during labor". =). Myself, I listen to it almost daily and yet continue to find the music fresh, grounding and alert while eminating from the heart.

I hope you give this CD a chance. Many people I've lent this CD to have gone and bought their own copy. It's that good. --peace
