Good, not great.......2007-01-07

There are some gems on this CD. Most of the music is nondescript when you listen to it; it is much more suited to being the background music of a TV show, of course. In other words, it's not like regular music you get on a regular commercial band's CD. In my opinion, the best songs are the Main Titles, in particular the 5th season.

This is a wonderful sound track. Chirstopher Franke catches the mood of the series with his music and it sounds even better when you listen to a recording, away from the episodes. Buy this.

This really is the Best of Babylon 5!.......2001-11-04

Thank you to Christopher Franke and Sonic Images for The Best of Babylon 5! Although I have most of these tracks on other B5 CD's, I really enjoyed this one because of the consistently great music. I would rank this one as excellent, along with my other two favorites, Babylon 5 Volume 2, "Messages from Earth" and the episodic CD, "Sleeping in Light." Two tracks deserve special mention: Track 2 is (I believe) a reworking of music from the album Babylon 5 Volume 1. With the "Battle of the Line" music in the background, Chris Franke adds new ideas to enhance the musical experience. The other notable track is the last one, Track 18 "Bonus Theme." This is a fabulous new track, which I understand was written for the (unfortunately never released) Babylon 5 CD-Rom game. This is six minutes of great music, that cannot be mistaken for anything other than "Babylon 5-style" music. It's a thrilling piece, which alone makes me glad I bought the CD. Let's hope we get the same quality offering with the "Legend of the Rangers" movie soundtrack, which I hope will be released next year.

absolutely the BEST BGM cd of ALL TIME ! .......2005-07-21

Christopher Franke at his absolute best.
This cd is the greatest background music / soundtrack I've ever heard.
I've had the cd in my collection for 5-6 years and it still continues to be my all time favorite in my ever-growing library.
as a devout fan of both anime and soundtrack albums,I've heard them all, and this still ranks as number one overall,domestic,European or Japanese.

the soundtrack is mesmerising and awe-inspiring, dare I say ' dreamy' at times.
it's excellent meditation music without being overly 'meditative' , if you follow (crisp,not 'mushy').
for fans of Franke's other works (ie: Babylon 5 or Tangerine Dream,etc), definately give this one a listen.
(side note: I actually got 'into' TD after I had this cd, without ever knowing Franke was part of TD until much later,so go figure).

as for anime / bgm fans,or anyone looking for a great piece of quiettime listening - buy this cd immediately , and find out what you're missing .

Excellent!.......2004-07-30

This is by far the best American composed anime soundtrack out there (asides Dragonball Z's Bruce Faulconer). This is a 'must get' CD for all those who like soundtrack music. My personal favorite tracks are 1, 2, 8, 13, 14, and 18. I give Chris Franke 5 stars!!!

Excellent Work.......2002-06-10

This is a very dramatic and beautiful CD score. Especially from someone (NOT originating from Japan) doing an anime soundtrack for the FIRST time. He has put a lot of time, effort and study into keeping close to the previous Tenchi scores and moods. And it has paid off. The theme song "Alchemy of Love" is beautifully written. The score itself manifests into varying moods (even though some of it is repetitious); from pleasant memories down memory lane to struggling for survival. This is a great collection to add for any Tenchi Muyo fan. As for people who like his previous works on Babylon 5 or Legend; you will not be disappointed.

This is great album. The songs are all instumental excluding the Alchemy of Love. The music is beautifully done, so all hail Chistopher Franke!

This Is a good soundtrack with Some Feeling to it. Almost all the songs on it are very good...And this Soundtrack is worth buying. If you like tenchi. you should get this

I know I'm not the best reviewer, but I'll try. Basically, in my opinion, anything that is Tenchi Muyo! is great. That also includes this CD. I think that it should be an addition to anyone's collection. The music is great. It would be a waste if you didn't get this. Just take my word for it. This CD is worth your money. There are some songs that annoy me, and some songs that I really like. But like I said, THIS CD IS WORTH GETTING!

Another TENCHI Hit!.......1999-10-16

If there's one part of the Tenchi Music that stands out the most, it's the original scores. A lot of instrumentals are on this one, with one incredible vocal "Manatsu No Eve" which was used in the ending credits.It seems that PIONEER has given up on dubbing the music from TENCHI into english, though.

A good Anime Soundtrack.......1999-04-26

I got this one by accident but hey I didn't send it back and I listen to it all the time and I hadn't even seen the movie! Now that I have seen the movie and own it I would say this is a must have.

A new movie, a cool soundtrack.......1998-12-29

This soundrack combines chorus, keyboard, instrumentals, and other kinds of music to make a hauntingly beautiful and sometimes dark collection; all topped off with the romantic theme, Manastu No Eve. This is one of my favorite sountacks, and I recommend it 100%!
