Serpent Mound

Editorial Reviews
From the Artist
The Great Serpent Mound is another treasure of the rich North American heritage long left out of the history books. I felt honored to be allowed to make a recording there, and to in some small way bring attention to the complex native culture responsible for this astonishing work. Their connection to the land is something westerners must be reminded of. The Great Serpent Mound challenges us to reconsider our ancient sisters and brothers, and to reconsider our own relationship to the planet we live upon. And thus challenged, it is useful to remember that to honor the wisdom of those who came before us is to honor ourselves and those who will arrive after us. Because, after all, we are all One.

5 out of 5 stars Superbly captures the atmosphere of this sacred sight........1999-09-06

The artist describes sitting at the Serpent Mound and letting the sacred sight give him sounds and rythms, the result feels to me true to the enery of the place. Each selection seems drawn from deep sources. It is musically and rythmically rich using drums, rattles, flute, keyboards, voice and natural sounds. Good for meditation and journeying. If you like new age music with a Native sound, you'll enjoy this recording.
