The Pleiades are a beautiful and brilliant cluster of stars in the constellation of Taurus. I have a large picture of them in my recording studio, and sometimes when I look at this picture, I am inspired to compose music, which is very different from anything I have ever composed or heard before.

This album is a collection of these pieces.

The Pleiades are the subject of many ancient legends. For example, the Torajas, a primitive tribe in Indonesia, build saucer shaped temples in remembrance of their ancestors who "came here from the Pleiades in saucer shaped ships a very long time ago."

In numerous reports of extraterrestrial encounters from different parts of the world the space beings indicate the Pleiades as their place of origin.

For some reason many people feel a strong connection with the Pleiades. Perhaps, as the legends say, we are descendants of Pleiadian cosmonauts who settled here aeons ago before the dawn of history.

I don't claim to know this for sure, but I do know that I love the Pleiades and that my "contact" with them through the picture in my studio, seeing them in the sky, and reading ancient legends about them, inspired this album.

After a VERY stressful day at work, I come home to the delights of this celestial music. I couldn't possibly stay tense while these melodies fill the air.

This is my favorite album for relaxation and stress reduction. I have played it hundreds of times and never tire of it. The melodies are beautiful and the sound is celestial. It transports me to a place where all of the stress of this world is gone, and I feel totally relaxed yet energized. It is truly a magical experience.

This is one fabulous album. It just takes you away into a surrealistic world of sound akin to star travel. Each cut is unique and yet they all blend together quite nicely. Great music for massage or floatation tanks! Also, fit for meditation and visualizations or for just plain old relaxing. A must buy for anyone who appreciates serene sounds of a different kind.

I'm so glad to find this recording.Margie has chosen all my favorites off her first four albums.She has such a way of sounding both vulnerable but solid. And her piano playing is totally unique. I'd recognize her anywhere. Songs for the world--strong and gentle both.
