Looking for great meditation music? Listen to Liquid Mind's assortment of musical meditation arrangements! I purchased Liquid Mind III years ago it's music became almost sacred to myself and other family members and friends. So, I purchased the entire series! Need I say more?!!!!
The music has a great "trademark" sound but each CD has it's own uniqueness. I found it was great anytime you need "background" music. I loved each and every CD by Liquid Mind and will treasure the music always. Thanks to Chuck Wild and all involved in the production of Liquid Mind!

Exactly what I was looking for.......2007-01-17

I always tried to relax by listening to classical music. Some classical is relaxing, but it can change tempo and volume often which I find distracting. This is much more calming then anything I've ever found. We have two of these cd's -- Reflection and Unity. I use it in the kitchen, or while I'm reading at bedtime. My 10-year-old listens to one at bedtime to help him calm down. I really love these cd's.

A perfect CD for Massage.......2006-04-14

As a massage therapist, it is really tough to find appropriate music for a session. This CD hits the mark. No singing, chanting, or other distracting bird calls. Just pure melodious tunes that flow from one song to the other. My clients love this CD and you will too.

Slow World by Liquid Mind.......2007-05-13

This is an excellent music CD for deep relaxation, massage, acupuncture treatments, yoga, meditation, or getting the baby to sleep. It maintains a consistent "zoney" quality from beginning to end with no tempo change, no surprises. The instrument is a synthesized keyboard and the chord progressions take long gradual steps up and down. That's it.

A follow up to Liquid Mind #1; Ambience Minimus (which is a wonderful CD). Slow World follows the same tonal layered formula of #1, but is benign and energyless. It's linear evolution is similar, but it's field of space is shallow. Leaving the listener bored. I agree with "spotlight reviewer" Mr. King. It will put you to sleep. But thats not what good ambient music is intended for. The intent of a good slow book is not to put you to sleep, but rather to give you something to dwell upon. Ambient music also gives you a field allowing your consciousness to wander.

This is a very helpful CD for those of us prone to stress, and those who aren't. The only drawback is I wish it were longer.

Great for Massage.......2005-11-03

I have many many CD's which I play while I do massage. I have never had so many people comment on a particular CD as I have this one. It's very calming, and seems to put people more deeply into a relaxed state. There is far less talking by my more talkative clients when this CD plays.

Liquid mind albums are just what you are looking for if you need a cd for sleep, meditation, or napping. This album is difficult to stay awake to. Synth sounds glide in and out like clouds; you can't focus on one too long as it will pass by and you will find another sound-cloud to float on. No rhythm, no melody, no beat; there is enough change to keep you from being able to predict what is going to happen next but not so much that you stay alert. Very good for this purpose.

This is one incredible compact disc. It is so good, I can't wait to get home, hop in bed and throw the headphones on. The synthesizers are soooo soothing, they put me in a state of cosmic euphoria. I feel the stress of the day, just being pulled out of my body, and a soothing clam that follows. It is one of 3 that I have purchased which provide the same sense of tranquility that I require at the end of the day. If your daily life is filled with stress, (and who's isn't). This CD is highly recommended.....

Numb Resemblance.......2006-11-30

Balance is a mirror of Chuck Wild's first project (Ambience Minimus) 3 years earlier. Unfortunately there is no forward progress in the Liquid Mind series. There is more warmth than it's predacesor "Slow World", but that ethereal "Ambience Minimus" tone is lacking. Here the tone tends to be outlaid rather than uprisen. Yes it dose maintain that flowing monochromatic state and it's planes dissolve well with some interesting soundshifting. But that is not enough to make this project appealing.

I use this product for massage background music. All Liquid mind CD work well. After purchasing the entire series, I realized you really only need 1 or 2 of this style.

A superb work.......2005-05-14

In my opinion, this is Liquid Mind's best work. If you haven't listened to this type of music before it is quite different. There is no beat, no melody, but drifting synthesizers that rise and dance on a theme of inspiration and grace. If you're looking for Yanni type New Age music you won't like this. If you're looking for something that plays well in the background as you do your work or meditate, this just might be the cd for you. One of my favorites.

I gave it to my father who leads a meditation healing group at his church. They play this cd during their session and people really find it promotes an atmosphere of quiet positivity.

In the fourth volume of his Detaching the World series, ambient guitarist Emil Gagliardi pulls together the experimental pastiches and sonic vignettes of his previous three installments into a unifying whole, resulting in his first presentation of complete songs with distinct melodies and a beginning, middle, and end. The effects-laden signal processing of Gagliardi's electric guitar fills in the background, while Gagliardi's acoustic guitar expresses his musical musings in the foreground. ...a CD review from a client's perspective..........2007-05-17

I just came back fresh from my weekly massage session and felt the urge to write a review of Vol. 4, DETACHING the world. DETACHING the world has become a vital element in developing the peaceful and relaxing background setting for my regular weekly massage appointment. I usually play this disc in the car in order to prepare my mind, body, and spirit to fully receive a relaxing massage. Even playing the music for 10 minutes prior to my appointment helps me focus and relax.

Musician Emil Gagliardi has found this magical balance between complexity and simplicity with his composition styling and guitar performance. The intricacy of his music is presented in a rich, beautiful, and relaxed layered sound that isn't demanding or boring. During the massage, it engages me, the client, to focus on the bodywork I'm receiving without any unwelcome interruptions. In the past, I've had therapists use other music that's kind of relaxing but always has that 1 or 2 tracks to offset my center. You won't find this happening on Vol. 4. The music blends together so well that it's hard to tell when one selection ends and the next begins. I do know that from the beginning track to the ending track, the music gets deeper...and deeper...and deeper...kind of like a journey.

The first two tracks (Trickle Down and Clouds) immediately pull my body/mind/spirit into the massage and allow me to focus on the work being given. Midnight Moon, Tribute, and Native Land draws the atmosphere deeper which matches the hands on work perfectly. Honestly at this point in the massage, everything blends in so well together that I'm in another realm. The euphoric Peace wraps up the session and holds the atmosphere in a refreshing relaxed state.

After today's session, my therapist (who also owns this disc) and I briefly discussed how great this music is for massage. I relayed how her touch matches the music and brings out these great visuals and colors. She was telling me how this disc and Vol. 1 are both magical in creating that perfect balance of energy in the room. I couldn't agree more. If you're looking for a new style of relaxing music, look no further... Vol. 4 is magical, beautiful, and very different from the norm.

GET READY TO ENTER A NEW WORLD OF MUSIC FOR MASSAGE .......2007-04-24

I found this cd Detaching the World Vol. 4 at the Canyon Ranch Resort in Tucson. After receiving one of the most cleansing and purifying massages ever (while this music was playing in the background), I couldn't help but think of how wonderful it would be to add this cd to my practice. After my purchase, I listened to it for almost a week strait before returning home and trying it out on clients. As a full time massage therapist, this cd has played during many sessions, providing a peaceful, relaxed setting with the music. As most lmts know, it can be very frustrating finding that happy medium of music that connects clients and therapists. I will tell you that the purifying cleansing deep guitar notes on this cd will not leave you or clients dissapointed. This one's a keeper!

I love the music of the guitar in this cd, it is just what I need after a hectic day, and when I just want to unwind, and let my mind think beautiful thoughts, and go to a place where I can just let go, and rest.

Not as I had hoped........2007-03-21

Regrettably, I am not qualified to rate this work as I never made it past track 2. I feel obliged to comment however, since there is no opportunity to sample tracks at this writing. If you are attracted to the "no synth" billing , read on. If you like that popular woo wooo woo sound, please disregard my rating and support this artist. Notably, there is a predominant use of electric guitar, manipulated through an amp.( eg: on track 2 a "goosed" sustain rather than a natural decay) I experience this somatically as nauseous and disorienting and would never introduce it to a therapeutic session. That effect-making is not what I anticipate from "ambient" guitar. ( Ambient meaning on both sides or surround sound ) I have been fooled before and was fooled again, but if you want natural acoustics (which I find can offer an opportunity for energetically grounded expansion), I can spare you the disappointment. It only takes a minute or two for a client to say "could we listen to something else?", so 2 tracks is enough for me to base my impression on. I'm resuming my good old practice of choosing not to purchase any cd I have not yet heard . Respectfully~~ Kirsten Wiberg lic.CMT

Shajan is great for bodyworkers !.......2002-12-26

Shajans debut album on Sequoia Reocrds is amazing. I've been using it for my bodywork sessions for the past several months and my clients love it. It is extremely powerful while extraordinarily relaxing, taking the listener on an inner journey to the heart of tranqility. I highly recommend this CD for other bodyworkers, yoga intstuctors, reiki practitioners or anyone wishing to go deeper in their own personal mediatative work.

I was very impressed by Shajanýs new album........2002-11-13

I was very impressed by Shajan's new album, Music for Reiki and Meditation. I do a lot of meditation and normally do not use music for background; however, one day I decided to try it as there seemed to be too much extraneous noise outside my apartment and a student had brought it to me as a gift. This album was so tranquil and gentle and so comfortable to listen to that I immediately went into a delicious meditative state. Since then my wife and I have used it in our classes, for massage, and have even played it at night to cozy with before we sleep. It is spacious without being spacey, full of loving intent without being too new age, and it definitely creates a harmonious place. I will be giving this album to my friends and students this holiday season.

Exquisitely Soothing & Relaxing Music.......2002-09-25

This is an amazing debut work from Reiki Master and musician Shajan. I discovered it from my wife who is a bodyworker and reflexologist. She put it on during one of my sessions with her and it literally transported my consciousness into a whole new dimension. Exquisitely relaxing and masterfully beautiful, these four 11 to 12 minute tracks are expertly crafted musical journeys into the tranquil and soaring heights of the soul. Bravo ! I look forward to more of Shajan's work from Sequoia Records.

Shajan is back with another amazingly serene follow up release on Sequoia Records.
His previous release has been a CD I use regularly in my own heaing practice and this new release "The Healing Touch" provides the perfect, incredibly gentle and relaxing aural landscape to sink into for ultimate relaxation. It's so easy to just drift away into blissful serenity with these four new tracks providing over an hour of music that exactly fits the bill for any massage or other healing arts sessions.

Pure Tranquility.......2007-06-08

This deeply relaxing album is the third release by Shajan and has quickly turned into one of my favorites this year! The tranquil sounds of the ocean, whales and dolphins intertwine with the serene soundscapes created by Shajan will help bring peace to any restless mind. This album is a perfect choice for relaxing after a long day or for starting your day in a relaxed state of mind. but this album is less good than the other's of the same series...
Healing Music for Reiki Vol.2-3-4 (the best for me is 3 & 4)are more centering for Reiki.

Simply one of best Cd for spiritual Reiki.
Equivalent to the Italian series of Reiki musician "Ajad" from the High Tide Records (5 Cd's series).
