When you listen to this CD it will put you in a space you normally must meditate to get to.
I love listening to this as I lay down to sleep, and I feel like I'm in the cave with Nandhi. This is also a CD that veteran meditators will instantly identify with, it cuts across paths it takes you 'there', and
this isn't like your other favorite CDs, you won't find anything like this
thats been touched up in a studio.

I do meditation every day to open 7 chakras. It used toi take some time like 20 to 30 minutes to open all chakras. But when I started listening to this CD then within few minutes all chakras started opening and lasted till the end of CD.

It is a mind blowing CD and the best ever I purchased in my whole life. I am sure that I am going to listen to this music every day.

Thanks to the whole production team, musicians and everybody involved in producing this CD. Keep up the great work. Great work Nandhi.

Dear Customers,

Thank you for sharing these wonderful arrangements. Cave of the Siddhars. Your music is instantly translated into soul messages. Musical soul massage. I don't know if it was my conscious mind or my unconscious mind but one of them surrendered to the music thanks to the constant didgeridoo in the background. My mind remembered a timeless aspect of itself. Turiya Nada's music that for the first few seconds had sounded extremely exotic fit into the mold of my being, as a result when I combined the music with asana practice I was able to deepen in the poses knowing that I was being "cushioned" by the call of Turiya Nada. The final "Arohara" invocations of the final tracks are perfect for the ending of savasana for me...and I believe for others too.

i remember listening to the cd before going to a healing movement class. the music and chants vibrate the truth of being. i was able to feel grounded with the ability to completely empty out into the silence of the divine. one of my challenges it to keep my feet here while embracing the inner light. this cd is very supportive of the healing journey and wherever i am in the moment. a beautiful merging of primal sounds and pure light. thank you for the gift of this cd!

This CD collection by New Earth puts together some of the best contemporary Indian/Middle Eastern/tribal style artists material for use in working Yoga. We are presented with the artists Tulku, Rasa, Tya, Kamal, Cybertribe, Bhakta, Ganga Girl, James Asher and Sivamani.

These pieces mostly have a subtle beat to them, and though I don't think they all reach true "trance" level of BPM's, they do provide some contemplative background music for the Yoga practitioner, or for anyone who is into meditative contemporary Indian/Middle Eastern style of music.

The pace is not slow, as with traditionally presented Yoga background recordings, but is picked up a bit, and allows the practitioner the opportunity to move a bit more freely. There are a couple of intense tracks, but not till later in the CD. Some may find them too intense for Yoga, others will find it a welcome change.

The pieces are performed by mostly well known artists. The pieces have vocals for the most part, much of which is in native tongues, but there is a booklet included which does translate a couple of the lyrics, allowing the yoga practitioner to meditate on the work, such as with Rasa's Om Namoh Bhagavate. This is a lovely, deliberate piece which is perfect for yoga. I was also very impressed with Tulku's Shanti Puja, which is catchy with its contemplative lyrics in English.

Tya presents us with a very "Deep Forest" feeling piece entitled Baiame, very upbeat and very tribal. A very lovely and airy composition with Middle Eastern style of vocals is Sassi by Kamal.

Reaching Motherland by Cybertribe is a much different approach, as it is more an electronic piece, a musical composition rather than the tribal or stylized Indian/Middle Eastern/tribal piece and I found this to be very different from the previously offered compositions. However, this is style is somewhat continued in Vajra Guru by Bhakta, as it is more composed music, but this time incorporating native vocals with some lovely harmonies.

Very "down under" in feeling is Nungabunda by Ganga Girl, with driving drum rhythms and didgeridoo layered in some electronica. This is one of the few pieces on the CD that I feel reaches the "trance" level suggested by the title of the CD. This style is continued in Red Rhythm Dragon by James Asher, with more tribal styled drumming and the didgeridoo.

The closing track also by James Asher called Amma includes drumming by Sivamani. This is a change in feeling from the previous tracks, as it has more of a driving rhythm and some vocals but does not suggest any kind of Indian or Middle Easter flavor. It could be considered "tribal" but is not "native" as the previous two tracks.

This is an interesting compilation of music and artists by New Earth Records. I am not sure I would go along with the "Trance Yoga" title which the CD suggests as the theme, but I found it to be a very interesting collection of World Beat music. It is a nice collection of World Beat artists and would make an interesting addition to your World library, or a nice introduction to some of the better World Beat artists. mafoster

I am a yoga instructor, and I was looking for some new music for my power yoga class. I wish I would have known ahead of time that out of the two disc set, one entire disc includes cueing over the music; it is not something I can use in my class. If you're looking for a program you can use for yourself at home, this is well done, but if you're looking for music to use in your own classes, be forewarned!

        I love the flexibility of Kimberly's cd -- it is customizable. From the one cd, you can choose a series that is just relaxation, short practice or a long, challenging series. Her tone and instruction is very calming and supportive. It is great to bring traveling (use the relaxation). A beginner friend did some of the workout with me and found it easy to follow, also. Some reviewers did not like the music, but I found it just right - it does not overwhelm or interfere with the instruction.

        Kimberly's Cd is very eloquently done. The music, the pace, and the quiet strength of her voice carries you through the practice. The verbal cues are precise, you know where your body is at all times. I felt myself getting lost in my practice and really experiencing the strength and grace of each asana. Kimberly left me with the feeling of wanting more. Bravo!

        Although I am sure Kimberly is a fantastic teacher in person, this CD is simply awful! I gave it two good trys and put it in the junk drawer.

        I am a yoga CD junkie, so I am comparing to a fairly wide range. Rather than spending time on proper alignment or saftey, several-minute blocks are wasted on uninspired "inhale, exhale" instructions. The instructor's patronizing "teacher voice" lacks humor and I started to wonder if she knew what she was teaching.

        So, better options: Lauren Peterson's Yogi's companion is a great all around, and the one that I come back to with excitement. Cindi Lee and Natasha Rizopolous (sp?) are both good for straightforward, detailed instruction. Shiva Reah and Brian Kest are sometimes silly, but laughter helps with the really powerful poses. Ana Forest and Baron Baptiste give incredible core workouts in a gentle style. Am I forgeting anyone? Probably, but you get my point, there are lots of good CDs out there. Unfortunatly, this isn't one of them.

        This is a challenging but outstanding addition to an intermediate yogi's collection. Kimberly Wilson has a very soothing voice that I could listen to all day long. Combined with the outstanding musical track, this CD's a winner!

            I've been a fan of Mystical Sun, since I found his music on mp3.com years ago. This album is a great listen. Both relaxing as background music and engaging to sit and listen to. It's peaceful and atmospheric, but has more going on than some Steven Roach I've listened to. There's an understated rhythm throughout.
            Well worth the listen.
