Thanks for the introduction to Mehdi.......2003-11-07

I've always enjoyed the Time-Life series and this album is no exception, but while reading some of the customer recommendations posted on this page I discovered Christmas Treasures by Mehdi (pronounced meddie). After some investigation I found his site (SoothingMusic.Com) and listened to the samples...I also downloaded some of the free MP3 downloads ("God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman")that are available on Amazon.com.
I was instantly blown away by the quality of this music and so I gave it a try and now that I have listened to Christmas Treasures several times, I really must say that although I'm still a Time-Life fan I find Mehdi to be a tad more interesting. I have them both in my multi-disc CD player and love the way they compliment each other. I highly recommend that you give this artist a try or atleast just go listen to the samples, I have a feeling you'll be glad you did.

THIS IS A GOOD CD, WITH GOOD MUSIC WELL DONE. I LIKE THIS TYPE OF CD AS A CHANGE FROM MY NEW AGE MUSIC. I COLLECT ALL TYPES OF CHRISTMAS MUSIC WITH ABOUT 75 CDS SO FAR. I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW ARRANGEMENTS OF THE OLD TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS SONGS AND ESPECIALLY NEW MUSIC. DAVID ARKENSTONE AND CHIP DAVIS (MANNHEIM
STEAMROLLER) ARE THE VERY BEST. THIS IS WORTH HAVING IN YOUR COLLECTION.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS CD BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING A DIFFERENT TYPE MUSIC THAN I GOT. I DON'T CARE FOR PIANO AND GUITAR SOLOS VERY MUCH. BUT THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE THIS FORM OF MUSIC WILL LIKE THIS CD.

Wonderful Christmas CD.......2003-01-03

We love to listen to Christmas music at our house. This is a wonderful mixture of instrumental music. We liked it much more than the Windham Hill Christmas collection, which I bought at the same time.
