Midnight Noon
Editorial Reviews

Among instrumental artists tagged with the "New Age" label, former Jefferson Starship guitarist Craig Chaquico is one of the few who energized the genre with music bearing a distinctive personal imprint. Chaquico's early recordings (Acoustic Highway, Acoustic Planet) were amiable affairs made memorable by their waves of chiming, glistening chords and refreshing pop-rock propulsion. Yet smooth jazz flourishes gradually crept into his compositions, absorbing his guitar into a generic sax-bass-keyboard mix that obscured his individual stamp. Midnight Noon, his eighth release, is a modest but encouraging move toward more of a middle ground. Chaquico, said to play 50 different guitars on this recording's 10 likeable, upbeat selections, still exhibits an allegiance to jazz (with brassy big-band and Latin accents surfacing at random intervals), yet includes a few pop-infused charmers ("Her Boyfriend's Wedding," "Outlaw in the City," "Always with You") that serve as welcomed throwbacks to his original, looser sound. While at times it sounds as if Chaquico is composing tautly structured television themes ("Jazz Noon"), several of his animated solos (try "El Gato") remind you just how well this guy can play. --Terry Wood

Bad Charger!!!!.......2007-01-16
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!! NOT EVEN FOR FREE!!! This is an old phone, and will be out of production soon. Because it has a bad charger connection. It will stop charging after a little while. You cannot buy the charger from any T-Mobile store!! It is a bad design and they know it!!! They already switched to another charger that's more reliable for other phones.
Dropped calls, T-Mobile no help.......2006-12-24
I have had this phone for 2 years or so... Very soon after I bought it, it started dropping calls. I could be in an area with good reception and yet during the middle of a conversation I would notice that the other person had stopped talking. "Hello? Hello?" They could still hear me, but I could not hear them. This problem has persisted and despite three calls to T-Mobile threatening to switch to another carrier I haven't been offered any incentive to stay. I am currently scoping out the deals to switch to another carrier.
Top-notch, but broke after 1.5 years.......2006-12-21
My V300 developed a problem after a year and a half. I got it free with a new T-Mobile plan, and without a contract it would have cost $200.00. What happens is that when I would flip open the phone, the little button that controls whether or not the screen turns on doesn't un-press all the way, so the screen keeps blinking on and off, as if I were closing and re-opening the phone. It's like if the button on your refrigerator were stuck halfway, and the light kept blinking on and off. This has made it impossible to answer calls or type text messages, because if I nudge the buttons the wrong way, the screen turns off and then on again.
However, I have been shopping for a new phone, and I am sorely disappointed that other phones, even the fancy overly-expensive ones, are not as elegant as this one. There are two outstanding points that I like: the interface and the buttons.
The interface was professional, well-organized, and had several layers of submenus. The phone also allows you to access six menus at the touch of a button, rather than making you scroll through one huge list just to access your phonebook or text messages, for example. There are no silly frills that may get in the way.
The numeric section of the buttons are raised circles and are spread far apart. I have yet to see this on any other phone. This is a HUGE advantage when using your thumb to locate and press a single button with ease. I have pretty thin fingers, but I still find it annoying using other phones because I often press the wrong button simply because my thumb spreads out too far. Not so with this phone. The top buttons, which feature the standard four-way directional arrows and a button in the middle, as well as five buttons surrounding that, are equally easy to press. You do not have to worry about accidentally pressing the other buttons because the buttons on this phone are very springy and do not wiggle around in their sockets.
I would take into consideration the fact that my phone broke to an unusable point after a year and a half, after the warranty expired, and that at least one other reviewer's phone broke as well. I do not know how long the other reviewers owned their phones, but the V300's seem have a history of malfunction. The advantages over other phones may be worth the risk, though.
Solid and Reliable.......2006-10-12
Myself and my wife have both had a V300 for over a year now and it is a great phone. It is reliable and takes a beating! I say that as we have two young children who always manage to get their hands on our cell phones, and needless to say they have taken some abuse and have never broken!
The receiption is great. Menu's could do with some improvement, but the camera and picture taking ability makes up for an areas that are lacking.
However, if you're looking for a phone with all the bells and whistles, the V300 isn't for you, but if you need a phone that's sturdy then this is for you.
BRILLIANT!!!.......2006-08-23
I love this phone! I have it and it is great! And I am not just saying this because I have it. It really is ! Sure, my sister has a video camera in her phone but mine has more music software and ringtones- polyphonic, classic ,ritual and normal.
This phone is considered a great buy and when selling cost £129.00!
I am nearly 11 but I still have a phone.
It has a lovely sleek design and is my fave colour - blue!
The weight is perfect.
Consider buying this phone, it is what YOU WANT!!!
Design- The design of this phone is like any original cellphone, except better! It has the usual, a tall cylinder at the top that has a soft, smooth feel. It has a camera build up at the front {the circle with a red illluminating circle} and the possibilty is VGA Z00 MAX. It is a nice shade of blue with bright silver metallic shades. At the front there is a small screen that lights up blue and tells the time and says T-MOBILE. There is a blue necklace attach that is clipped to the top.
Camera- Great! You can zoom up to x6 and it is great use in the sunlight. Unfortuantley, however, there is no video recorder. But you can send photos in messages and emails, and can have your very own album and pcture scroller! Perfect.
Games- There are two free games, Monopoly and Stuntman. They are good graphics and quality, and have a good model to the game. Stuntman, is a series of levels on which you have your very own car or racing car and have directions on where to go. If you do something specific or pass a particular place you have options and instructions that tell you how to unlock your stunt. Then they are stored into the database, and at certain times you can look up the stunt you want to do and jump, flip and flip on two sides as well as MUCH MORE!
You will probably know Monopoly ;}
There are also Java games and downloadble network games that are 3d but you have to buy them for perhaps £2 or $3
Music- Very good. Not al polyphonic which is excellent. Also buyable music like 50 cent and Rhianna
Ringtones- The best you will find in a phone. Also music can be transferred to ringtone.
EVERYTHING ELSE YOU WILL FIND OUT! Hope this helped. :}
