One of Enya's Best Singles.......2007-01-04

I am a HUGE Enya fan, and I felt that with this EP, it was definitely a good buy. The best thing about this CD is it has a couple songs of hers that ARE NOT on any of her albums. So, if you're like myself, you're better off getting this Single to complete your Enya music library.

I wanted to say something clever in Gaelic, but I don't speak Gaelic........2006-12-24

This is Enya's Christmas CD. It starts off with a beautiful rendition of "Silent Night" sung in Gaelic. The rest of the CD is also in Gaelic, other than the last track which is an instrumental. These songs are ok, but they don't seem to have anything to do with Christmas.

Why in the world would I pay 40 bucks for a cd with oly 5 tracks, let alone 4 of those tracks can be found on your other cd's.(And make a real Xmas cd next). And those of you who bought it and complaint afterward, well you're an IDIOT.

Why in the heck is Enya (sorry Enya, I do love all of your other albums) releasing an album with only 5 tracks and, the first two tracks are available for 99 cents each on Itunes. If you really want to hear some modern groups (bands from the 80's & 90's)sing some new renditions of Christmas classics then purchase "A Very Special Christmas: Volume 3" this has the Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt, Enya (Oiche Chiun), Sting, and Blues Traveler, & many more.

Oh, the song is a good song, just not worth the cost of the album so that's why I gave it 3 stars.

These are two really good christmas songs by ICP. The songs themselves would both earn 5 stars but its really pointless to buy this when both of them are on Forgotten Freshness 1+2. But if you have the extra money it'd be cool to show it off I guess.

Silent Night...Violent Fight.......2003-02-19

This single is short but sweet. Its usually cheap too, so I say its worth the price. Now, I know these tracks are already featured on Forgotten Freshness volumes 1 & 2, and the original Carnival X-Mas ep, but if your a collector, which you problably are since your reading this, you will want this in your collection. I would recommend the original but it isn't very easy to find these days since its basically out of print but you can catch them on the webstore(if your lucky).
'Santa's A Fat Bxtch' is the bomb diggity, a humorous track but a classic. When I say classic, I mean old school "I remember those days..." classic. It serves as a good song to sing when you and your homies are bored or whatever.
'Red Christmas' is the last track and is fatter then your mother. Hehe just playing. This song is phat though, its a good track but nothing outstanding.
My words of advice are to buy this or get buyed. Foe real.

Huff can SING!.......2006-12-21

I was fortunate enough to meet and spend some time with George a few months ago. At the time I didn't own any of his cd's, but now I do, and I gotta say he is incredibly talented! I don't usually listen to this style of music, but my wife loves it, so I try to find artists that I find bearable so we don't end up fighting over the car radio on trips. I find myself being the one to recommend putting George in the cd player. He is a great artist, and a wonderful person to boot. In person he is just as genuine, kind, and nice as he appeared on Idol, and that carries through to his music. Great guy. Great music. Great purchase!

You can't compare Huff and Bo.......2006-01-10

What's the deal with people who obviously have agendas reviewing a particular CD by saying "Bo is better," etc. I like Bo too, but you don't raise him up by trying to bring Huff down! They each have their own style; it's like apples and oranges, and there is plenty of room in our society for both kinds of music. Bo is a rocker (although they made him very pop-ish on "The Real Thing" and Huff has his own gospel style. They're even from different AI Seasons, for goodness sake, so they're not in competition with each other! This CD shows the promise of many good years ahead for Huff fans.

George picked the worst way to show his voice.Songs are so boring and he doesn't stay in the right key!
Save your money and buy Bo Bice's new AWESOME, AMAZING, album called The Real Thing! Bo will show you how it's done! Bo's the REAL DEAL folks! Bo blows all the other Idols who ever went on the show out of the water, makes them look real bad, yuck for Georgie!

Best thing to happen to Christmas in ages!.......2005-11-26

This album is a must-have for anyone who loves to listen to beautiful singing of timeless songs for the holidays. The musical arrangements are nothing new and can at times sound a little simplistic, but that's okay because GEORGE HUFF IS AMAZING! Always nuanced, his rich, recognizable voice really shines in these traditional songs. The joyous version of "Go Tell It On The Mountain" is especially well-suited to both his spirit and his talent. The only bad thing that can be said about this album is that it's SO DARN SHORT. The music industry is long overdue for a unique, warm and infectious voice like his, especially coming from such a genuine and nice guy.

And yes, folks, he really is that nice ALL the time. My little boy and I met him in the summer of 2004 when the AI3 tour came to Miami. We got backstage passes from a friend, and so I'm happy to report that not only is George as vocally flawless live as he was on the show, he is also really that sunny, warm and hilarious in person. I wish him all the best of luck... but if you listen to this album, you can tell he doesn't need it. ;)

Joyful, Joyful we adore thee..........2005-10-27

I'm revealing my age here a bit, but Tennessee Earnie Ford and Jim Neighbors have lost their exclusive hold on "Go Tell It On The Mountain" as far as I'm concerned. I have never enjoyed the song more than while listening to George belt it out. Goosebumps! His infectious joy is conveyed in every note of this EP. That slighlty breathy warm tone may not always meet technical requirements, but who cares when you feel like your snuggled in a warm blanket the entire time your listening to it. Indulge!

Not just for Christmas time.......2007-01-24

One of the better Christmas albums I've heard. A certain Christmas feel permeates the album but it's not the cheesy traditional Christmas songs that you've heard way too many times. My Morning Jacket contributes their own tunes to this one and we are rewarded for it. They craft multi-layered, structured songs with lots of vocal harmonies. There are two gems on this one (not surprising for this band). They are "Xmas Time Is Here Again," and "I Just Wanted To Say." There is some nice harmonizing and Beach Boys-like vocals on the former. And the bonus track is something that if you've heard their first two albums, won't surprise you very much. It's a novel instrumental with three separate guitar melodies playing simultaneously, which pleases and challenges the listener at the same time. The Nick Cave cover is very well done. The Elvis cover "Santa Claus Is Back In Town" is decent but somewhat disappointing. They should've kept the same magical, mysterious, lonesome, country-ish, mood as on the shining standout "I Just Wanted To Say." It's a bit sad and lonesome sounding, but nevertheless magical and full of wonder just as Christmas time often is. Buy this if you're tired of the same old tired Christmas songs that everyone has heard a million times. Buy this if you like something different.

i'm not sure what the reviewer before me was expecting, but i do love this album. my morning jacket, it's true, they are "alt-country" (if that's what you want to call it). i'm no *real* reviewer, but i do know how to spot a band with staying power, and they have it.

this is a wonderful holiday ep, gorgeous music that makes you want to cuddle up with a blanket and stare at the blinking lights on the christmas tree with not another light on in the house.

beautiful. and highly recommended.

Warning: This album will put you in the Christmas spirit...it might even inspire you to bake gingerbread cookies for your neighbor or something. Most of this album is pretty cheesy and it made me laugh, but maybe that's just because I am not a fan of country-influenced tunes, exactly what this album IS--Most songs are quite "twangy." My Morning Jacket reminds me of Neil Young but they have some harmonies like the Beach Boys. Track one, "Xmas Curtain," was my favorite, and it was definitely the most "Beach Boys-ish." Track four is a cover of Nick Cave's "New Morning," and Track five is a cover of Elvis Presley's "Santa Claus is Back in Town." The Elvis cover is really funny, it made me laugh, and it's heavily blues-influenced. I do have to say that judging from the cd cover, these boys look like a riot to hang out with!

Starts out great...!.......2004-10-16

A short, 6-song holiday EP which has some surprisingly good performances from this slick Top Country dude. The opening track, "I'll Be Home For Christmas," actually sounds like a country song(!), complete with pedal steel and geetars... Then he gets all Vegas-y and cutesy... His whispery, Michael Jackson-esque vocals are pretty darn irritating, if the truth be told. Still, if you like mainstream pop-Christmas records, this might have somethin' for ya...

I want this cd but I can't find it anywhere I have all byran white cds I love his voice he is a great singer and he always have great songs. I was wanting this cd for christmas but I can't find it anywhere. Byran White My little sister and I are your biggest Fans.

I'm a loyal Bryan White fan. I've got every album he's made and been on. I love the Dreaming Of Christmas album. My fav song is "I Can't Wait Til Christmas". That is just one excellent and very well done song. I love the whole album. It is worth buying.

Doesn't get much better than this.......2001-10-28

I just had to write another review for this album. Another year has gone by and this remains as one of my all time favorite Christmas albums. The songs on this fill your soul and is perfect for listening on Christmas Day while opening presents. It's October now and Bryan's album will remain in my CD player for the next three months and will get lots of usage.

Wonderful!.......2000-05-22

My only complaint is there are only 6 songs. Bryan does a GREAT job with Holiday music. It really lifts your spirits and puts you in a loving Christmas mood. It's May now and I can't wait until November so I can start playing this CD again. The best songs on this album are Holiday Inn, I Can't Wait Till Christmas, and One Bright Star. Bryan is an OUTSTANDING vocalist!
