Relaxing.......2007-05-13
I was looking for background music/sounds to relax to. Since there are no repetitive patterns in the music, your mind must relax to listen. It was just what I was looking for to lie down and play softly in the background. Feels like I am getting a "mind massage"!
Very nice mellow, relaxing album.......2006-12-03
I've heard a few Deuter albums and this is the best I've heard so far.
The first track, "Buddha Nature" is 10 min. long and is very good except for the intro with synthesized keyboards. I don't like synthesizers and this music uses them sparingly. I prefer the music when it sounds more natural, with guitars and flutes and such.
The 2nd track, "Illumination" is such a track, using guitar and flute (or if it's synthesized instruments, I cannot tell the difference!) and has a nice feel to it, kind of like being in the mountains at sunrise, with beautiful views. It runs almost 28 minutes.
The 3rd track, "Amida" is my favorite. It includes cricket sounds in the background, and starts off with some Tibetan Bells, then flute. Reminds me of sitting by a waterfall in a beautiful garden, and if I'm not mistaken the flute is played in the ancient Chinese style. In any case, it gives you the feeling of being in a very special quiet natural place. It runs 9:45.
Track 4, "Joyful Path" starts off with a resonating Tibetan bowl (bell) and some wind chimes, over a long resonating bass note. This is the shortest track on the album, at 2:52, and I wish it had been much longer. [I'm a big fan of Tibetan Bowls, and in fact I will here recommend an album of pure Tibetan Bells, no other instruments: "Seven Metals: Singing Bowls of Tibet" by Benjamin Iobst. I have heard Deuter's "Nada Himalaya" Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 - both of which are made up of Tibetan bowls - and, while Deuter's Tibetan bowl sounds are good, I like this "Seven Metals" much better.]
"Blessing" is the last track, it runs 6:23, and it uses too much synthesizer for my taste, has that kind of "new agey synth" sound that I don't care for. I could be wrong, but the clarinet-like instrument sounds very synthesized to me, and the whole sound of it is a turn off.
Were it not for the over-use of the synthesizer here I would have given this album 5 stars. Except for the beginning of the first track and the entire last track, this is an excellent album!
Devine.......2006-11-21
I don't use this adjective too often but this CD definitely _is_ devine!
The first song, 'Buddha Nature' is a long but great song. It is simply perfect for a medium size meditation session. The ups and downs of the notes can keep you concentrated on it for as long as it runs.
"Amida" and "Joyful Path" are not songs to die for but the last song, "Blessing" is simply perfect! Its openess inspires wide open plains and sheppards taking care of their sheeps in a slow rythm that happens for centuries. The joy I get everytime I listen to this song is beyond words!
This CD together with "Like the Wind in the Trees" made my life more beautiful!
MELODY IS NOT ENOUTH SMOOTH.......2005-06-10
I LIKE THE TOPIC OF THIS CD.BUDDHA NATURE,THE EXPLAIN TO IT IS VERY GOOD.BUT I AM A LITTLE DISPOINTED TO THE MUSIC FROM THIS CD,IT IS NOT ENOUGH MELODY,A LITTLE BORE OF IT?
"You have forgotten about the key, the key is within you.".......2005-04-26
Buddha Nature is Now. And now is so beautiful. Light some scented candles as you listen in stillness of mind, you will experience the overwhelming hope, calming peace, sheer beauty, and heartfelt love inside yourself because this what Buddha Nature is all about. How Deuter can transduce all these emotions to the listener is divinely astonishing. This is not your ordinary new age music. This has Spirit. Enjoy his soulful, uplifting flute accompanied with the sounds of bells, flowing water, chirping crickets, singing birds and more and let go and allow yourself to explore all the Wonder inside you. There is no one like you. You are very Special. In this journey of life, we may not be able to fully comprehend the true beauty and transcending joy in the Now, but we will move ever closer towards this peace in knowing our own spirithearts by listening and sharing such inspirational, beautiful, enlightening Music as this.
"The Buddha is your intrinsic nature. It need not be created. It has not to develop either, it is already there, it is already the case. It has only to be unfolded, it has to be discovered. The treasure is there; you have to find the key to unlock the door. The treasure is not to be created, the treasure in not to be developed; you only have to find the right key. You have forgotten about the key, the key is within you." Osho from "Be Still and Know."
"It is the quality of being present in this very moment---that is Buddha nature. Not having one's mind travel into the past or future, but relaxing into what is, non-doing and learning to enjoy one's being." C. G. Deuter. One wise man, eh?

Album Description
This, the first Buddha-Bar CD/DVD, follows the seventh successful Buddha-Bar CD (released in February 2005). The nature theme is one of the major concerns of the 21st century, and it corresponds to the Buddha-Bar spirit. Allain Bougrain Dubourg, known for his TV documentaries about nature across the world, and Arno Elias, whose talent as a composer is also widely recognized, produced twelve pieces of music that lead us on a visual journey through the wild world of nature. A marvelous spectacle of animal and plant life, from dolphins dancing in the waves to tropical forests, to a leopard attack, the DVD is bursting with emotion. The Buddha-Bar team hopes that the beauty of the wildlife depicted will remind us also of its fragility, and therefore, the respect we owe it.

THE BEST BUDDHA BAR EVER!!!.......2007-04-21
THIS BUDDHA BAR IS GREAT.. MY FAVORITE SONG ARE; NEW DAY; EL CORAZON; GUIDE ME
YOU'LL LOVE IT I'M A FAN OF ARNO ELIAS THE COMPOSER OF THIS ALBUM
I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-02-17
I have all buddha bar CD'S this is my favorite by far. This is the one I play the most often. It just takes you away to another world.
Relaxing yet not boring ethnic music.......2006-05-15
The Music CD: Buddha Bar Nature gives you 12 tracks that are ethnic new age and middle eastern sounding. Besides track 2 there are not really any songs of spanish descent. Also none of the tracks border on being lounge music like much of the music in the regular Buddha Bar series. This CD reminded me a bit of the eirlier buddha bar's like Vol. 2, before the lounge sound entered the current volumes. What i liked about this CD was that it was very good musically (different instruments, enchanted voices) and did not depend on the bass beat to make the songs interseting (think lounge music.)
The DVD: The music fits very well with the nature scenes. These nature scenes almost always features plenty of animals, particularly from Africa. The timely use of timelap photographing was neat as the viewer can see the unigue movements of animal formations. My fatorite Video and song was "Dance of the Flames" whiched featured iguana's swiming in the ocean, crabs moving allong the beach, clouds moving, and sun rises and sun sets.
amazing images, emotional music.......2005-12-29
i always listen every cd before to buy, but in this time, i didn't. the music and video are amazing and i listen and i left my thoughts fly, the only thing about the dvd, the sound isn't excellent. i have a little bit of noise when you listen in 5.1 sorround. if you listen buddha bar, you must to see it.
You'd be taking a pretty solid chance...........2005-11-06
I have a habit of just diving in because I am familiar with the rest of a series, or I am maybe just curious, but I did purchase this blindly. I was not disappointed. Every Buddha-Bar I've purchased has been amazing, but this one has quite a feature to it. The CD is enough to enjoy, but you should dive into the DVD. Set to the same music, documentary-like cinematography combined with Arno Elias's well-crafted selection of music makes for one hell of a DVD. I'm no nature buff, but some of the stuff i saw just blew me away. Buy this CD/DVD.

Customer Reviews:
One of the best, from one of the best.......2003-08-23
If you're looking for underground house music, you're in for a treat. Miles Maeda (spelled wrong on Amazon) has been been throwing it down for years.
If you're new to this genre, house DJs play records and mix them together so that they make one seamless song that keeps you excited and dancing the whole time. You're looking at over an hour of over 18 records mixed together perfectly.
Miles was a big part of the underground Chicago rave scene when this type of music back in the mid 1990s! Now he lives out in California and speads a really positive vibe. He's always been one of my favorite DJs.
I bought this CD and it made me amp my stereo and dance around my livingroom through all 18 tracks. There are quite a few excellent vocal tracks, and it all flows together really well. If you are looking for REALLY GOOD MUSIC, check this out.
This CD is easily worth the expense. The sad fact is that you just can't buy great music like this in the stores. And when most underground DJs put out a CD, it just usually doesn't have the same energy. (Must be the darn copywrite). This one is excellent.
If you're looking to expand your horizon with music along the same lines, check out Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, and Diz. These four guys are a gift to our planet.
Great CD.......2000-12-31
This cd is well worth it and is great house music. If you like artists like Jeno, then youll enjoy Miles Maeda.
