Firehouse talent...acousticly!.......2006-09-08

One of my favorite cd's!!! Talent certainly comes out when they can cover an old southern rock hit like 'seven bridges road' and do it so smoothly! The acoustic guitars rock with rhythm and funk. I never knew firehouse to be this talented! It sure shines out in this acoustic compilation of their most remembered hits! Being partial to modern country rock and southern rock...I can't help but be doubly pleased with hearing a steel guitar added to my all time fav. by this band, "love of a lifetime". This is a must have for any firehouse fan!

I really enjoy these set of acoustic songs from Firehouse. Lots of passion and feeling poured in. Some of it sounds quite folky/country and some of it maintains a rock feel. Personally i prefer the growling hair metal guitars pounding away in the background lol but this collection sounds very nice in acoustic format. I think a lot of people will be quietly impressed with this CD if you slip it on at a social gathering, barbeque etc.

See, we all know Firehouse is known for their powerful ballads. These acoustic songs are terrific. Perfection. You can sing these around a campfire, haha. These are very powerful songs indeed. Just because they're hair metal, doesn't mean they can't make great acoustic songs. Poison on the other hand had a little problem. "Here For You" is a great song. I am here for you, always here for you, when you need a sholder to cry on, blah blah. Yes, I don't remember the words, I'm not a words type of guy. "You Are My Religion" can make you feel that really weird feeling when you like someone.

Bottom line here, is that these songs will just blow your mind, because of the perfection and just this band in general. Alrighty my fellow citizens of the USA and the world, peace.

Meio "pop" e nem tão acústico, mas um bom álbum do Firehouse.......2005-02-22

Este álbum de 1996 é o quarto do Firehouse (os outros em 1990, 1992, 1995). São versões "acústicas" de hits da banda (como as baladas "Love of a lifetime" e "When I look into your eyes"), três ótimas músicas inéditas (as 3 primeiras) e uma interessante releitura de um clássico do Eagles ("Seven bridges road"). Do começo ao fim, música de boa qualidade! Mas não deixe de curtir também os outros trabalhos deste ótimo e premiado grupo de hard rock/metal.

This is the only Firehouse album I have. I have heard their so called biggest hits in their original form, and I must say, the versions on this album is far better.

This is a true "summer" CD, with loads of catchy melodies and good songs.

The acoustic versions of tunes like "Love of A Lifetime" and "When I Look Into Your Eyes" is allright, but thats it really. The new songs on this album is the one that stands out.
"You Are My Religion", the song that opens this album, is simply catchy. And what a feel-good song. Number 4 on this album, "Nothing At All" is the albums best track, if you ask me. And of course, one of my favourite Firehouse tracks "I Live My Life For You". Why this song never was a hit, I cant believe.

If you like acoustic rock, with catchy tunes and good songwriting, this is the album for you.
