No God Like Jehovah- Judy Jacobs Live.......2007-07-07
This cd albumn is simply awesome! It is so full of joy, I can praise God and be spiritually uplifted anytime and anywhere! I find myself remembering snippets of psalms and phrases from the various songs and humming all day long. I had never heard of Judy Jacobs, but I love her voice and her testimonies. Every song has been a blessing to me.
I bought the albumn to hear Agnus Dei....Worthy is the lamb....she sings this sooooooo well! And she also has so many others...Days of Elijiah...God Can Work a Miracle For You.... My God Is....Jesus......every time I start the cd to hear one song, I end up listening and singing to the entire albumn! I give this albumn ten stars!!!!
Great Singer - Not So Great Presentation.......2006-07-11
I really really like Judy Jacobs and bought her album "Almighty Reigns" at the same time I got this one. Unfortunately, this one isn't as good, in my opinion. For one thing, being a "live" album there is a lot of background noise and you can't hear the main singer as well.
Also I don't care for a few of the songs. My favorite is "Days of Elijah" which was not clear enough to me. I'm not saying the album isn't good but I play and enjoy "Almighty Reigns" much more.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!.......2006-05-14
I was reading Judy Jacob's book 'Take It By Force' and was being so blessed by it that I decided to buy this CD. Each and every song either had me dancing, praising or in spirit-filled worship to our Lord. What an anointed woman of God!! Everytime I hear 'Blessing and Honor' my knees get weak and tears start to flow, I've heard 'Days of Elijah' before, but never like this. I've had it for three days and it's been playing for the better part of each one of them. I'm reading about 'violent faith' and listening to awesome praise and worship music, I'm truly blessed and highly favored by the Lord!! I'm getting one for my 'Praise Partner'(s) so they can help me praise the Lord. Wow, I just can't stop raving about this experience!!
Great CD.......2006-02-01
Judy Jacobs was been a true inspiration to me. I listen to this GOD bless CD every morning beofre I go to work. I feel refresh and ready to go to work and face the days work. Almost everyday I get emotionally and begin to cry and thank GOD. I realize that I have so much to be thankful. I feel strong and thankful throughout the whole day.
Definitely worth it!.......2005-08-11
This CD as well as Judy's other CD's are great. She sings with great conviction because she knows who her God is. Don't hesitate to purchase this or Above and Beyond, or Statement of Faith.

Love that Octopus!.......2006-01-31
I bought this album a couple of months ago and then went to a show in Austin. They're great on cd and excellent in person. They put on a fun show (sorta loungy costumey pinata strange themed) and the fact that they're truly fantastic musicians really comes through on the album and live. My favorite tracks are Exit Counselor and Six Feet Up. And the lead 'singer' (the keyboardist) is really fun to watch in person. If you get the chance, see them live.
The album is completely instrumental dominated by keyboard effects. Sorta like Four Tet. Sorta like Amon Tobin. I don't know Broken Social Scene well enough to comment on them... but you get the idea.
Impressed.......2006-01-29
I just saw this band live last night at Emo's in Austin, Texas. They were opening for Explosions in the Sky. Having never heard their music, I did not know what to expect. I was not disappointed. There is a lot of synth used...guitar and drums. They play loud. I've never heard their CDs, but if you ever get the opportunity to see them in concert, do it.
Instrumental electronic rock at its best.......2006-01-27
I first saw the Octopus Project as an opening band for Trail of Dead in D.C., and I was instantly hooked. Their catchy, instrumental songs got stuck in my head and finally I broke down and bought this album. I wasn't disappointed in the least. If you're a fan of experimental post-rock along the lines of Broken Social Scene, you definitely should check this band out.
Great Album.......2005-02-05
I typically don't listen to much instrumental stuff, but this album is the exception. Perhaps because it still has pieces that qualify as 'songs' rather than just experiments. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of experimentation going on here. It's just that these 'songs' actually elevate themselves above being background noise and become living, engaging pieces of music. Few other instrumental albums accomplish this.

F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.!.......2006-02-02
I've got the original music (including v2 and v3), the books (the best is Heitland's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Book; still in print);
the 22 VHS tapes issued in the early 1990's (a haphazard collection issued in no particular order of episodes that boasted famous guest stars). Can I please get the whole series on DVD? I have not seen Mother Fear toying with Illya (The Children's Day Affair) in over 40 years.
At LAST the complete series ORIGINAL soundtrack, the wait is over!.......2005-07-12
Many of us have always thought The Man From UNCLE had the best music for a TV series ever, and this three double CD release confirms this. Wow! I'd be just happy with one CD, but having SIX (three double CDs packages) is absolutely out of this world, I mean, a lifetime wait come true.
Indeed, this is an unbelievable collection of three double CDs packages with the complete series soundtrack, and I mean the complete music, not a tune is missing.
And this is the ORIGINAL Man From Uncle music. Let me stress the point: this is the four years ORIGINAL soundtrack with the original recordings as they were heard throughout the series, not a no-name orchestra doing personal versions of the stuff. The audio transfer is very, very good, the music from late episodes is even in stereo.
Each individual CD carries over 70 minutes of music. All in all there you have the four TV seasons main titles and all, absolutely all of TMFU unforgetable music.
This is not a chronological release, meaning, all CDs have a mix of music from all four TV seasons. Volume 1 is heavier on early TV seasons stuff, fans of Jerry Goldsmith will love it. Those of us who prefer what Gerald Fried and later Richard Shores did with TMFU music, then volume 2 is mandatory. If you are a fan, you can't miss any of these six CDs. However if buying all three double packages is too much for you, you must go with Volume 2, no questions asked. Volume three is the weakest of them as it brings "suites" and a whole CD with "The Girl From Uncle" soundtrack, but you have a bonus "Open Channel D" beeper.
Each package is gorgeous, each with a glossy color booklet with extensive liner notes with details on how each tune was written to a specific TV series episode and how it was used onwards. You have bios on the composers, on how the recordings were made, even an overview on how many instruments were available in each of the years the music was recorded.
So, throw away your Hugo Montenegro Man From Uncle CD, this is the REAL thing.

dope follow up release.......2007-05-23
One be lo is one of the most slept on underground artists around. Project fetus, the follow up to sonogram, is part two of pouring out knowledge, dope rhymes, some decent production to those that will listen. Lyrically this kat is one of the best to come out of dtroit in a long time. I am glad that they finally rereleased this album because I have been trying to get it for like the past year now.

Project M-13's string of sonic collages is quite different from the soothing, finely crafted soundscapes associated with ambient music. This collaboration has an appealingly rough-hewn quality. Tracks don't necessarily go anywhere in particular, but it's fun to follow the musical wanderings of Milk Cult and their associates. Hip-hop beats, birdsong, hard-rock riffing, turntable scratching, and dog barks are just a few of the elements that make up this CD's aural fabric. Vocals pop up here and there on the album. Like the instrumental textures, they vary widely, and include lovely, wordless singing, distorted, raplike utterances, and emotive recitation. Works like Project M-13 occupy an interesting place in contemporary music. Too harsh to take a sonic bath in and too amorphous to provide structural niceties, the disc offers up pleasure in the form of sound for sound's sake. Call it roughed-up ambient or musique concrete à la pop. --Fred Cisterna

Off The Beaten Path, Yet Highly Accessible.......2003-12-07
This is Milk Cult's masterpiece. The second installment could come out within the next year or two. If you've already heard this cd then you are surely excited about this news. This is one of the absolute best records released in '00. Milk Cult are members of ex- noise rock bay area band Steele pole Bathtub. But this stuff is totally unlike SPBT stuff.
Project M-13 was funded by the French government. Milk Cult collaborated with many different musicians from around the world, never actually recording at the same time with them. The other musician's input is taken and employed into songs the Milk Cult construct. If you are a fan of experimental rock/ electro, or a non- experimental fan, you will most likely love this cd. This cd is mostly only known in knowledgable music circles, a perfect album to buy and impress all your dim witted friends. It is definitely one of my favorite cd's of all time. I could keep writing about how good this is, but I'll just leave it up to you to check it out.
Stunningly complex, definitely strange.......2001-07-12
I can't say that I've loved everything that Milk Cult has ever done, but "Project M-13" is a rich tapestry of music, noise, samples, and vocals. For fans of noise music, it's a pretty singular and intense experience. It's dense, often humorous, darkly weird, and definitely one of my favorite listens of last year.

Album Description
This work includes original gospel instrumental songs that features two cutting edge saxophonists. Because of the unique and highly expressive sax solos, creative arrangements, and level of musicianship, this musical project is like no other. There is at least one song on this project that can be enjoyed by persons of any age group or ethnic background. It is truly an eclectic musical work with gospel, jazz, Latin American, and popular music influences.
Customer Reviews:
Awesome CD!!!!.......2006-11-11
This is one of the best gospel jazz CD's I have heard. There is something for everyone including, smooth jazz, latin, contemporary and even traditional tracks like "Precious Lord" and "What a friend we have in Jesus". My favorite is "Lord I Love You". I find myself listening to this CD over and over because it is so uplifting!!!!
Cd.......2006-11-05
Wish I could have listened to this before buying. It was an ok cd, but not worth the full price. Would think twice about buying it again.
Anointed men of God.......2003-03-05
This CD is a must have for your gospel music collection. This CD has something that will minister to everyone, whether you enjoy traditional and/or contemporary gospel music. The lyrics are biblically based, so you don't have to guess, wonder or assume whom they are speaking about. Without a doubt, The Covenant Project glorifies our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Brother Patton and Brother Beebe truly allowed the Holy Spirit to inspire them with regard to the musical arrangements and lyrics you will find on this current CD. Also, let me not mention to forget that you will be tremendously blessed by the solos ministered by Brother Michael Green and Sister Candice Smith. Thank the Lord for artist who are committed to the Lord, reaching the lost, and are by no means compromising the gospel!!!
True inspiration.......2002-12-30
I truly enjoyed this inspirational CD. It has appeal for all ages and all different musical tastes. If you are looking for something to lift you up and jump start your day, this is the album for you.
An awesome gospel CD..........2002-10-31
This CD is a wonderful collection of gospel music with a jazz flare. It touched me emotionally and spiritually, taking me to a higher level of praise. It was an awesome feeling knowing the artists personally and being able to witness their God-given talent, especially Harry, who I knew could play all the instruments he does, but didn't realize what a beautiful voice he has. I am truly impressed and I definitely would recommend this CD, especially to those who are looking for a creative flavor of gospel. I wish you both much success with this and any future endeavors - God bless!!

lovely interpretation .......2004-10-01
Baroque music made fresh and lovely by modern musicians. I might have been hearing old familiar tunes for the first time because of the musicians' choices of instruments.
Excellent music | Shame about the marketing.......2003-12-22
First let me get the negatives off my chest: this CD is really difficult to find in any physical shop. The problem for the retailer is this: where to file it? The CD is by 'The Dowland Project', yet it contains no songs by John Dowland. The composers contributing the most songs to the album are the not-very-well-known Cipriano da Rore and Robert Johnson (not the blues guitarist!). The convention with classical CDs is to file by composer, so this CD gets lost in the enormous 'Various Artists' category. Alternatively you can file the CD by star performer, but there again, ECM has created a problem for the CD-buying public: the only performer listed on the cover of this CD is John Potter, but I suspect the contributing artist who pulls in most ECM fans is John Surman. He was certainly the reason I bought the first CD by this grouping -- the outstanding 'In Darkness Let Me Dwell', which was the record of the year for a number of critics, in the UK at least.
So there you go, ECM. If you want to know why this CD achieves only a tenth of the sales it deserves, put it down to filing problems. Let's move on to the music.
The big question in my mind when first playing this was this: had the group already taken all the best songs of the period for 'In Darkness ...'? No, I don't think so. Actually, the songs here are more uplifting than those on 'In Darkness ...', which generally had a rather melancholy, Elizabethan air to them. But somehow I feel 'In Darkness ...' is still the better album, which is why I award this one four stars. I would prefer to hear more instrumentals, and to hear more from John Surman. The stand-out track for me is #13, 'Refrain 4' by Monteverdi, where the artists improvise around a very simple guitar-driven theme.
