Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Extreme in every sense.......2006-12-03

This album mixes the most extreme and unstable elements of hardcore, grind, and death metal. There is plenty of jazz influence in there, too. The music is very technical and complex, but also extremely heavy, with vocals that occasionally sound like some kind of enraged and deformed farmyard animal, making the term "pig vocals" more relevant that ever before. It's also very experimental, and approaches the weirdness of Gorguts' "Obscura" at times (it is one of the few albums I've found that dares to follow in the footsteps of this masterpiece). As another reviewer mentioned, good production is crucial to this kind of music, and on this album, the clear but filthy guitar tone gives all kinds of depth to the music. The bass is also very well produced, and is probably my favorite element in the mix-- it often follows its own path, adding yet another dimension to the discordant chaos. The drums are also very choatic and very creative. The sound in general is very thick and deep, with lots of color and diversity. Great, great stuff. I have to be in the right mood to listen to this, but when I am, nothing else will do. Will appeal to anyone who likes their metal extreme and diverse.

5 out of 5 stars Intense Deathgrind Like None Other.......2006-09-06

Words cannot express the love I have for this CD. It's a mix of technical death metal, grindcore, and with some hardcore shoutouts in it as well. I can't believe how underrated this band is.

"Glandular" is a quirky track that tells you what you're in for. Technical deathgrind bliss with some of the most intense shoutouts and squeals like none other. Basically, you'll fall in love with this CD if you're a fan of Despised Icon, Aborted, All Shall Perish, or any of the like.

5 out of 5 stars Get your grind on..........2005-11-09

You'd never think this was a band's first offering, as the songs are intelligent, complex, and brutal, and the production is fantastic. Fans of grind/death related music, or metal in general, should check this band out. More information at [...]

5 out of 5 stars Unbelievable.......2005-08-03

This is one of the best death/grind/hardcore crossover cds i've ever heard! These guys are so diverse and creative it really is amazing, the song structures alone are so complicated i don't know how they remember what they are playing! The production is perfect and really clear, also they write really cool lyrics as well. The musicianship is astounding, really intricate stuff going on here, and the vocalist has about 60 different vocal styles also. This will please anyone who are fans of devourment all the way to Blood has been shed, this is an excelent cd.
