1 out of 5 stars Whatever happened to Metallica?.......2003-06-26

They went pop is what happened! The more they played for the radio and not for their longtime fans, the more of the original Metallica was lost. They used to be a great band, this is not one of their best ep's by any stretch of the imagination. If you liked the first 4 albums, don't bother with this. If you like their recent stuff have at it. They've slowed down in their old age and this was the omen of things to come.

5 out of 5 stars Great song!.......2002-09-01

What can I say? I love Metallica and they didn't disappoint. Of course, there is that group that doesn't like their newer stuff. They might not like this, as IT'S THEIR NEWER STUFF... Now, while I say this is great, I don't listen to it that much at all because I don't like to put a single in my CD case, plus I like to put a CD in and listen for a while, not just a couple songs. Of course, I did buy it knowing that it was a single, so I can't complain about that (wait...I just did). If you're a Metallica fan, I recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Best single ever.......2001-11-19

The reason to buy this single is Track 2, the "Kill/Ride Medley". It's a truly great live performance from Donington '95. The medley begins with parts of Ride The Lightning, then goes through No Remorse, Hit The Lights, The Four Horsemen, Phantom Lord, and Fight Fire With Fire in that order. And then it ends with Ride The Lightning again. It's great.

This is slightly different than the Kill/Ride Medley that appears on the "Cunning Stunts" DVD. In that version, Seek And Destroy is played instead of Phantom Lord.

4 out of 5 stars Senor Diablo's Review.......2000-10-02

Like any other Metallica CD this one is great! I like "Kill/Ride Medley" a lot because it combines six great songs into one. And it is live, and, of course, Metallica is the best band when it comes to live music. I do not recommend it so much for "Hero of the Day", since you could get that one on "Load". But if you collect singles, like I do, then you should get this single even if you do have "Load"!
